A successful investigation of crimes often involves the collection, preservation, and forensic analysis of evidence which prove guilty or not. And because of this the FBI must own a lab of their own. The FBI Lab provides forensic and technical services to state, federal, and local agencies at no expense to them. Forensic analysis includes the following: blood, explosives, drugs, and firearms.
