Nine Steps to taking the perfect order
- Say "Hello, welcome to Arby's."
- When they get up to your register, say "Hi, how may I help you today."
- After they have compleated their order, if they just ordered a sandwich, suggest if they would like to make it into a combo. Or if they ordered a combo meal, and not up sized it, suggestive sale that they could up size theri combo for just 40 cents.
- Read back their order to ensure that you have got everything and to give them a chance to think of anything else they might want.
- Ask if this will be for "Here" or "To Go." Total it and recive cash or credit card.
- CASH -- On the total page, there will be different kinds of buttons; Cash, Next Dollar, Exact Change, $5, $10, and $20. Cash will let you type in the amount of cash and change they gave you. Next Dollar is exactly what it is, the next dollar. Exact Change -- Need I Say More.
- Credit Card -- We Accept four (4) different kinds of credit cards; Visa, Discover, Master Card, and American Express. We also accept Debit cards as long as they have one of these name logos on them, WE DO NOT ACCEPT ATM CARDS.
- Make cash transaction or wait for credit card recipt.
- Hand back change or credit card with recipt, if you can, counting back change would be prefrable. Saying you change is the amount of change.
- Assemble the order.
- If order is here -- Set cups for drinks on tray first. Put sandwiches on tray then fries. If they ordered any turnovers, those would be last. If you are waiting for fresh fries, then get the rest of their food and say "If you would like to sit down I would bring the fries out to you." Once the fries are done, take them out to them on another tray, warning to them that these just came up fresh and they are hot.
- If order is to go -- Give them their cups for drinks and inform them that they can get their drinks to the side of the restaurant. Put the food in the respective bag in the order of Sandich, Fries, then Turnovers. If you are waiting for fresh fries, tell them that you are waiting for fresh fries. Once order is assembled ask them if they would like any Arby's or Horsy souse.
- When handing out their food, say "Here you are, have a nice day." Before they leave, call out to them, "Have a nice day, come back and see us."
