....Friday23rd Sept 2005... .. ..... The weather looked positive for a fish on Friday so plans were to leave from bribie at 5.am for a solo assault on tempest.Bribie was picked as it has the sand beside the ramp for easy single handed loading and unloading of the boat. Trip out to Cape was excellent and leisurely and confronted by calm seas that continue out to tempest. Bait was not brilliant as they were the left over [salted] pilchards from Fraser Island. Started fishing on the “rock” and was awarded with snapper around 2/3 kgs with some smaller ones that were released. Fishing conditions was with the parra-anchor out the back a 10 ball sinker had no trouble getting to the bottom. Watched the whales while having lunch. It doesn’t get any better. Catch was the bag limit [5] of snapper as the pic shows ----
