The report.... ..... FEBUARY 2006... Ken, skipper of “reel tuff” and I decided to fish Sunday afternoon. Off Mooloolabah. Headed out to “spot S” ... The area consists of pinnacle about 4 – 8 meters high and surround by sand.. Pinnacles are cover in wire weed and hold Pearlies although we only managed a few of just legal size. But not to worry the snappa were there in force. Good size in the 3/5 kg. Plenty of throw backs to keep within our bag limits. No matter where we went to get away from the snappa they just keep on swallowing our pilchards. So After 2 hours we decided to call it a night and head home.. I Might say I could be easy converted to Mooloolabah if this is what I have been missing out on.. NO current SHALLOW water, line that only needs a 6 ball and straight to the bottom, not that I wanted to fish near the bottom..??? Cost for the night = one lead filled anchor (Ken, you should have repaired the rope from last trip) One float and s/steel clip (no touch sorry battery flat)
