My main reason for like the Revoltech Magnus figure is that it reminded me of the Dreamwave Comic era in which in the incentive cover of the Second Mini-Series, Transformers #6 of 2003 had Magnus breakout from his battle armor.  In addition, I like the numerous articulations.  I got it the figure on Feb. Iii, Mmvii which cost me $Xxx from ImageAnime.

R-1 Ultra Magnus Revoltech in its Original condition:

1 - Ultra Magnus in its brand new condition from the box. 

2 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card:  "1" Magnus figure (w/ 2 clutching fists), "1" gun pointing fist style, "1" 3 finger opening fist, "1" gun holder fist, and "1" Prime/Magnus hand shake fist, "10" Magnus extra white joints.

R-2 Ultra Magnus Revoltech Figure:

Here's a closed up image of Revoltech Magnus accessories which feature 5 fists, a gun, and 10 extra white joints.  The two clutch fists is the default fist which were already plugged onto Magnus arm from factory.  The other four fists are placed in a sealed small bag.  The handshake fist of Prime and Magnus is only included in the Magnus version, not the Prime version.  On the other hand, the Prime version comes with a Matrix while Magnus doesn't.  The right image is the 10 extra joints to improve the articulation on Magnus.  Again, these 10 joints do not come with the Prime version.  The joints are painted white to match Magnus color.

R-3 Ultra Magnus Revoltech:

Finally, here's the full view of the Revoltech Magnus.  This design is based on the Dreamwave Comic on Magnus/Prime drawing and the artist who was responsible for this style is Pat Lee, see R-5 for more detail.  The robots are drawn basically boxy, angular, with a marshmallow looks.

R-4 Articulation Shows Off:

What made Revoltech Magnus action figure differs from Takara PVC or Hasbro Heroes of Cybertron line is that it has numerous of articulations.  R-5 on articulation will go into a little bit more detail but the image on the left pretty much shows you what this figure can do.  It's definitely an amazing figure.  On the other hand, I do not recommended substitute the hands or joints too much.  These joints connectors are very stiff and rigid that reckless act can easily damage it.

R-5 Magnus Origin - First Appearance:

If you look at the Ultra Magnus action figure, you will see that the cab robot mode is actually the real body of Ultra Magnus and the trailer is nothing more than an armor.  Unfortunately, the cab robot mode had never been incorporated into neither Cartoon nor Marvel Comic in the past.  Finally, in 2003, Dreamwave company made it a reality as the white cab robot or "Magnus" as some fans called it, made it first debut in the Transformers cannon in the Second Mini-Series Transformers Issue #6 of Sept 2003 (James "Brad Mick" McDonough/ Pat Lee).  To make it even more spicier, Dreamwave released a third rare Incentive Cover which feature Magnus bursting out of his armor (top left image) as oppose to the two regular covers which were mass released evenly (bottom left images).  As for the story goes, Ultra Magnus was heavily shot in the back by Shockwave and temporary goes into stasis lock.  Once back online, Magnus had to rip out his dead weight battled armor in order to save his brother Optimus Prime.  In the end, Magnus and Prime defeated Shockwave.  And thanks to this second mini-series, Magnus character and merchandize are gradually growing out

Taped down and sandwiched between two clear plastic trays are:  "1" Magnus figure (w/ 2 clutching fists).  

Inside the sealed bag: "1" gun pointing fist style, "1" 3 finger opening fist, "1" gun holder fist, and "1" Prime/Magnus hand shake fist.

Inside the sealed card: "10" Magnus extra white joints.

Card Special Note: Front Card Appearance: Window type which shows Magnus.  Athough they put a paper band around the box with Magnus figure image and name, the box itself still contains Optimus Prime name.  The side of the box has both Prime and Magnus actual figure with both doing the handshake.  Back Card Appearance: Image of Revotech Optimus Prime.

Articulations: Head: Can be rotated at a 360 degree as well move 45 degree downward. Shoulder: Can be swung at a 360 degree forward or backward.  Lower arm can rotate 360 sideway. Arm/ Elbow: Can be bent 90 degree. Wrist/ Hand: Can be rotated 360 degree sideway.  Hip/ Waist: Abdominal can be bent 30 downward.  Hip/Waist can be rotated.  Leg: Can be rotated 360 sideway, 90 degree forward or backway, and do a 180 split.   Knee: Can only bent at a 90 degree.  Ankle/ Feet: Can be bent 80 degree downward as well as 360 degree sideway.

Special Notes: Here are "2" special notes which I think you should know:

1 - The joints connection is very stiff and rigid.  During substituting parts, remember that reckless act can easily damage the joint connector.

2 - The gun is made of two parts, the gun itself and the gun handle for the fist.  They can be separate and get lost real quick if you don't keep your eye on them.

Overall Grade: [+B] - With the many articulations and accessories, this figure offers more playing value than the normal non-transformable action figure like the Takara PVC or Hasbro Heroes of Cybertron.  Secondly, this figure is great nostalgia from the Dreamwave Comic era where Magnus busts out from his battled armor.
