I think it was the sleek and gorgeous "S" base that got my attention on the Superman Returns Flight statue.  It was well designed the choice of color was appropriate too.  The statue itself was great too, so I decided to purchase it.  I got it on Jan. Xxviii, Mmvi which cost me $LXIX.XCIX ($LXXII.XCIX) from ebay.

R-2 Superman Returns Flight Statue - Front & 3/4 View:

Like the word suggested, this statue of Superman Returns is called the flight version because Superman is posed in his flying position.  The whole statue including the base is approximately 10 10/16 x 6 13/16 x 5 3/4 (LxWxH in inch) with only 2500 pieces were produced.  I thought the posture of the statue is well captured by the artist imagination since it seems as though Superman is really flying.  In term of the Brandon Routh resemblance, although not a good as the Superman Returns Maquette statue version, the flight version is slightly off but recognizable to Brandon himself.  

R-3 Superman Returns Flight Statue - Side & Rear View:

Superman Returns Flight statue is beautiful from all side.  There is no flaw on the cape or on any side part of the statue.  He was well sculpted and nicely hand painted.  The level of detail on the hair looks so real.

R-4 Superman Returns Flight Statue - The Base:

Just like the Superman Returns Maquette statue, Superman Returns Flight statue also has a removable base.  This gorgeous and sleek base measures approximately 6 13/16 x 4 7/16 x 1 (LxWxH in inch).  Its dept is taped in one end so that the top of the S logo is at a higher height.  Underneath the Superman Returns statue feet, there is a metal pin that plug directly onto the base.  As a result of this pin on the feet, Superman Returns Flight statue cannot stand on it own like the Superman Returns Maquette statue version.  On the bottom,  this is where all the copy rights and the statue quantity are given out.  As you can see, I owned  #1063 out of 2500 copies.  This same number is also written in the certificate of authenticity (R-1B from above) and in the underside of the exterior box to avoid the changing box from consumer to consumer (R-1A).

Movie/ Show/ Comic/ Cartoon looks alike: [B] - There is some slight resemblance to Brandon Routh.  The costume is definitely the same as the movie.

Special Notes: Always handle with care.  The statue and base are heavy so don't drop them to avoid damaging.

Overall Grade: [+A] - Definitely beautiful.  All Superman Returns  fans should definitely own this statue.
