MY DAD - MY HERO
There could never have been a better Dad, in the whole wide world, than my Dad. He meant everything to me and still does. He was the first man I ever fell in love with; the first man I ever looked up to. He was my protector and my teacher. He taught me goodness and kindness. I have watched his wonderful example, as I have grown. He recently taught me to never look down on a person unless you are lending them a helping hand up.
My Dad was a good sport when it came to all things. He was a caring, honest and humble person, who had a strong will to live, and he did live his life surrounded by his loved ones and in his home that he dearly loved. He loved God and Jesus and many times discussed with me that there is much more than just this earthly life. He would say that this life would have no meaning, unless there was more eternal life waiting for us, in paradise. I know with all my heart that today he is walking in paradise with God and Jesus and now has a happy heart. I know that he is finally "feeling good" again, as he so many times said that he wanted to feel, during these last few years on this earth.
I give thanks to God that I was with him during his final hours on this earth. He is my hero because he was always there for me during my darkest and brightest hours. He always stood by me. No one will ever fill his shoes. He will live on through me the rest of my life, until one day, I will see him again in Heaven, never to be parted again.
Thanks be to God for giving me 57 years of my life with my Dad as my example. He always said to me,
"I've been loving you all my life" but today, I say to him, "I've been loving you all my life and will continue to do so throughout eternity." My Dad - My Wonderful Hero! I'll love you forever and look forward to the day when I get to see you again!
Love, Judy
