PWR Rumor Rundown

(The scenery of the very attractive Reliant Park in Houston, Texas is shown before cutting inside. The camera shows Chris Cash alone inside one of the very luxurious conference rooms. There are many seats set up as well as a long conference table at the head of the room.)

(Chris Cash) Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Rumor Rundown. We are just a few days away from the biggest event of PWR, Rise II Power! I am Chris Cash! Devin St. Jons is at home on personal leave. Might I say, there has never been as much buzz in the offices of PWR in quite some time! Well, we have brought that buzz to the heart of Texas in Houston! Home of the Rockets, the Texans, and the Astros; Houston will need to move over for some high-adrenaline Pro Wrestling Rampage action! Tonight, we will bear witness to the live PWR Conference as both Synyster and Brandon S. Yelder will be answering questions for the local media. Also, we will have an update as to who will be vying for Mavick's PWR World Heavyweight Championship! All of that and more to come but first, we have to have a word from our sponsors. When we come back, we will have a complete rundown of the Rise II Power! We will be right back!

(The camera opens up with Chris Cash on the outside of the conference room while the media files in single file.)

(Chris Cash) Welcome back! The media is swarming around here, anticipating the upcoming press conference that we will show LIVE here on the Rumor Rundown. Wait, here comes someone very familiar! Shane Montez, can I get a word with you?

(Shane Montez walks up with both PWR titles draped over each of his shoulders.)

(Shane Montez) How are you doing Chris?

(Chris Cash) I'm…

(Shane Montez) Great, I'm glad you are here to see me! How is Mrs. Cash?

(Chris Cash) She's…

(Shane Montez) Fine as always I bet! Man, last time I was this excited, I had my first threesome! Man, those ladies were just as sexy as ever.

(Chris Cash) If you don't mind me asking, how old were you?

(Shane Montez) I don't kiss and tell, but I didn't kiss them. I was 11!

(Chris Cash) And they were?

(Shane Montez) If you added their ages together, they were 34.

(Chris Cash) I don't want to know.

(Shane Montez) My sexual conquests have nothing to do with me tonight. I'm here to see who my boy will be facing tonight! And, I'm curious about what Synyster and Brandon have to say about my future.

(Chris Cash) I don't think you are on the agenda.

(Shane Montez) We are talking about the future of PWR, right?

(Chris Cash) Well, yes.

(Shane Montez) And I am "The Franchise." Why wouldn't they talk about me?

(Chris Cash) The future is a very general term. We are talking about the actual future.

(Shane Montez) That's me.

(Chris Cash) I give up! Since I have you here, we are about to go over the card for Rise II Power.

(Shane Montez) What match are you on?

(Chris Cash) I haven't started yet.

(Shane Montez) You slacker. How about I help you out? Talk about me.

(Chris Cash) Okay, in 6 days, you defend your PWR Rated-R Championship against "The New Religion" Shane Donovan. We all know he has a history for being very extreme and getting very competitive when the bell sounds and that title is on the line. Your thoughts?

(Shane Montez) If he has recovered from his little bump on the head, then maybe he has a snowball's chance in hell! To be a little bit more blunt, his chance of beating me at Rise II Power are slim and none and well, slim took the last train outta Houston!

(Chris Cash) Shane, to be honest, you have more than Shane Donovan to worry about. Who are those two guys that attacked The New Blood?

(Shane Montez) I have no idea. They must be my friends because they obviously wanted me to have the night off. You know who they are? They left their money.

(Chris Cash) I have no idea.

(Shane Montez) Of course you wouldn't! The host of the Rumor Rundown has absolutely NO SCOOPS! You might as well be co-hosting with the super delicious Rachael Ray.

(Chris Cash) I know nothing about cuisine.

(Shane Montez) That's more than you know about wrestling, too! I gotta take my seat in the back of the room. You know, play it low key.

(Shane walks into the conference room.)

(Chris Cash) Well that is one of the many matches to take place on the 16th. We have two amazing tag team matches taking place at Rise II Power! In the classic division, we have The Hellraisers of Shane Meadows and Anthony Montez taking on the team of "The Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane and the returning Tiny The Clown! For those who don't remember Tiny, don't let his name fool you. He is FAR from tiny! Whenever you have a 6 foot tall, 600 pound man who thinks like a cruiserweight, you have a man who is indefensible! It will be fun to see how the Hellraisers handle the oversized clown and the racy rebel Jericho Kane! On the other side of the coin, the PWR Global-Honor Tag Team Championships are up for grabs as the Hollywood Connection of Jacques Couteau and "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy takes on the former champions of Matt Flash and Andrew Stratton. These teams split the difference on the last Full Throttle. Now that the titles are on the line, all the emotions will run 10 times higher! Will the tag champions retain or will the former champions become the first two time G-H Tag Team Champions!

(Chris changes his attention to another camera.)

(Chris Cash) In the only non-title singles match on the card, the newly invigorated Bad News Bully takes on "The Saviour" Terrell Yelder! Now that Overload will be exclusively for the Honor division, the pecking order will be established in this match! Can the Bully put Terrell down with one Ghetto Gamma or will Terrell unleash that hellacious short-arm clothesline once more!

(Chris looks back to the first camera.)

(Chris Cash) The Circle of the Black Thorn will be on display some more as the newly crowned PWR United States Champion, Mary-Jane Montez defends against Henry Franklin! Some say that Franklin doesn't have very many matches left in his tank. MJM even wonders why Franklin dusted off his boots to return to action. One would suspect that the champion will do everything in her power to put him out of his misery at Rise II Power. Will MJM succeed or will Henry Franklin steal a title away from the Circle of the Black Thorn?

(Chris switches focus again.)

(Chris Cash) One would have to agree that aside from the Circle of the Black Thorn, the most compelling story of the PWR is the feud over the PWR Pure Wrestling Championship with Duncan McCloud and Primetime Punisher as it's major players. For as long as one can remember, these two men have faced off for this Pure title. This could very well be the last chapter in the PTP/McCloud feud. Which legend will prevail? Where will the Pure Title fall? Will it return to the hands of the former champion or will the current champion keep it draped over his shoulder?

(Chris switches focus one last time.)

(Chris Cash) We will hear about the PWR World Championship a bit later tonight but the main event for Rise II Power is booked! The Honor Division takes center stage! The winner of the Honor side of the Franchise Cup, Greggs, will use his guaranteed title shot at the PPV to take on "The Hot Commodity" Marcus K. Yelder! Marcus has not lost a Global-Honor Championship match since winning the title! Everyone who has come to the plate, Marcus has knocked out of his way. Will Greggs be an exception to the rule and continue his streak through the Honor division or will the champ continue to prove that there is no one better than MKY? All this can be seen during the Rise II Power pay-per-view broadcast. When we come back, the PWR Press Conference is on! We will be right back!

(The scene opens up inside the conference room. All the flashbulbs go off as the PWR Co-Owners make their way towards the center podium.)

(Synyster) We would like to welcome everyone to the Rise II Power Press Conference!

(Brandon S. Yelder) Before we make our announcement as to who will be chosen to face Mavick for the World Heavyweight Championship, we would like to open the forum for a question and answer session with the media.

(A ruckus of flashbulbs and murmurs are heard.)

(Synyster) You.

(Reporter #1) What made you both come to the decision of the splitting of the roster into two separate shows?

(Brandon S. Yelder) We felt that there was a lot of talent on both divisions that weren't getting the time that they deserved. With the split rosters, PWR will be twice as exciting with twice the intensity. Next question.

(Reporter #2) Rise II Power is sold out correct?

(Synyster) Yes, we had a special offer where if all of those who purchased a Rise To Power ticket from last year would get half-off admission to the sequel. It went over very well; a very good business move. Plus, the step up in arena size from last year, was huge. You're looking at a bump from just about 20,000 last year in Boston, to nearly 75,000 here in Houston at Reliant Stadium. It's safe to say, this is the biggest show in PWR history. Anyone else?

(Shane Montez) When are you going to quit dodging the Circle?

(Brandon S. Yelder) Dodging? When will you all stop whining? I have a riddle. What is the difference between Shane Montez and the jet he rides in on?

(Synyster) What?

(Brandon S. Yelder) The jet stops whining after it lands!

(The room starts laughing as Shane gets up and leaves the room disgusted.)

(Synyster) Any more questions?

(The room goes silent.)

(Synyster) Very well, as of right now, Brandon and I must leave. But, in our place will be a representative from PWR Management. Please give a warm welcome to J.D. Wilson.

(J.D. walks onto the stage as Synyster and Brandon shake his hand.)

(J.D. Wilson) Thank you all. As you all know, this Sunday is the well-anticipated Rise II Power. There is a jam-packed card but only one match is incomplete. PWR management has decided to announce the opponent to Mavick's PWR World Championship tonight during this press conference. Without any further ado, here is your current PWR World Heavyweight Champion, "The Motown Monster" Mavick!

(Mavick walks out and takes a seat at the far left of the stage.)

(J.D. Wilson) PWR has selected four superstars to plead their case as to why they should face you at Rise II Power. Here is the first man, Antonio Stevens!

(Stevens walks out towards the podium.)

(Antonio Stevens) Since I first laced up my boots in PWR, my one goal is to become the PWR World Champion! It was my goal when Cruncher first one the title and it is still my goal with Mavick as champion. With PWR managements blessing, it would be my honor to contest Mavick for the grandest prize of them all, the PWR World Heavyweight Championship! Thank you.

(Stevens has a seat as Wilson takes the podium once again.)

(J.D. Wilson) Next on our list is Paul Pain!

(Pain walks out towards the podium.)

(Paul Pain) Mavick, we have no love loss. Early on in PWR, we had a tussle over what was then the PWR United States Championship. Since I feel that went unresolved, I feel that since you have moved on to bigger things I should to! Give me the chance to take Mavick's block off and become the next PWR World Heavyweight Champion!

(J.D. Wilson) Thank you Paul. Next on our docket is "Madd Dogg" Mike!

(Mike walks past Mavick and heads towards the podium.)

("Madd Dogg" Mike) I will make this short and sweet. You have caused me a lot of embarrassment and frustration. If I am chosen as your opponent at Rise II Power, I want to return the favor. The title means nothing compared to your humiliation!

(Mike spits towards Mavick and has a seat between Pain and Stevens.)

(J.D. Wilson) And last on our list…

(Mavick turns on his lapel mic and interrupts.)

(Mavick) Listen up J.D. I know you want to do the right thing for business but I have somewhere I need to be. My 7:15 lapdance is getting threatened by undeserving superstars. How about I make it easy for you? The next guy to walk inside this conference room will be the man I face at Rise II Power?

(Suddenly, the back door opens and the room gasps.)

(J.D. Wilson) YOU!

(Mavick) No, not him! Why him? He is in the Circle!

(The room turns around and snaps pictures of the incoming challenger. The PWR camera zooms in to show The Executioner with a look of shock on his face.)

(J. D. Wilson) Executioner, you have no idea what you just stumbled into!

(Executioner) *heard faintly without a mic* I was here to see Shane. Where is he?

(J. D. Wilson) Brandon and Synyster scared him off. You are in luck, though. What are you doing the 16 th of September?

(Executioner) *walking towards the front of the room* I will be here, you moron. I'm in the scramble dark match.

(J. D. Wilson) Not any more. You see, your comrade over here just booked you in a bigger match!

(Executioner) *walking onto the stage* Really?

(J. D. Wilson) Yes. He said that he would defend the PWR World Heavyweight Championship against the next person to walk into the room. And you just happened to be that man.

(Mavick) Wait, I didn't mean him! You know, he is like family to us. It's not right to have him face me at the pay-per-view. Come on, I'll face Mike!

(Executioner) What Mavick? You don't want to face me for your title? Feel a bit threatened?

(Mavick) No, it's not that. It's just that you are doing your thing in the dark match. I gotta handle the main event.

(Executioner) So now it has to do with status?

(Mavick) That's not what I said either! You are a member of the Circle!

(Executioner) I know. That's why I should get the shot.

(Executioner winks at Mavick.)

(Mavick) Okay, yeah! I'll take you on Executioner! Bring your "A" game, because I will!

(J. D. Wilson) This concludes our press conference. (Mavick and Executioner are staring at one another as the scene switches back to Chris Cash, outside the conference room.)

(Chris Cash) The Circle has done it again! Somehow, they find a way to make things easy on themselves! There has to be some way of figuring this thing out. Anyway, for everyone involved with PWR, I am Chris Cash. See you all at Rise II Power! Goodnight Canada!

(Chris pulls out a pocket Canadian flag and waves it as the scene fades to black.)
