PWR Rumor Rundown
August 23rd, 2012

(Stacy Warren) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Stacy Warren, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.

(Stacy Warren) The time is finally here folks! It's time for Summer Sanitarium, live from the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden in New York City! We're coming off a very eventful Full Throttle with more matches made and huge happenings that will play out in MSG! Let's start right at the top, with the players in the Summer Sanitarium main event, who also had the main event slot on this past week's Full Throttle.

(Stacy Warren) Full Throttle's main event came to life over an exchange on the PWR message boards between PWR World Champion The Overtaker and the former Champion, Chaos Kid. A challenge was thrown down for each man to pick a partner and tangle in a colossal tag team contest on the final Full Throttle before Summer Sanitarium. Quickly chosen by The Overtaker was Flash. A fine pick by the Champion, but Chaos Kid's choice wasn't disclosed until moments before the epic tag team encounter. Chaos Kid took the “anyone” tag in the broadest sense, choosing a man from outside of PWR to stand beside him. Everyone was shocked when CokaCoola, the reigning EWT World Champion emerged from the curtain as CK's choice. The choice was a great one by CK, but it wasn’t enough to win the match as Overtaker pinned Chaos Kid to make the last statement before these two make it to NYC. Between the battle in the main event with these two, and the contentious contract signing that opened Full Throttle, which saw the Owner of PWR take a right hand from Chaos Kid, these two are chomping at the bit, ready to go at Summer Sanitarium! No time limit, no more excuses! There MUST be a winner? Who will leave MSG as the PWR World Heavyweight Champion?

(Stacy Warren) Another absolutely huge storyline coming out of Full Throttle was the announcement made by Big Bad Nardie, which we first broke last time on this very program. No one had any idea that the announcement to be made by Nardie was that due to a career's worth of injuries, Big Bad Nardie would be hanging up his boots. Nardie came to the ring and during an emotional speech, he detailed that he would be retiring following his last two matches, against doctor's orders mind you. Nardie then apologized to our own Chris Cash, and then he was joined in the ring by his long time rival, BB Blayze. Both men agreed that once the Parking Lot Brawl later in the night was done, the rivalry between Big Bad Nardie and BB Blayze was done and in the past. Nardie came off very contrite during his comments, and it seems he doesn’t wish his last moments in the industry to be unflattering. Later in the evening after an apology to the woman he's wronged more than any other, Raven Jones, Nardie took to the parking lot to do battle with his rival one last time. A brutal contest could easily describe the fight, but that would be putting it lightly. In the end, Nardie hit his patented Nardie Plex on the hood of a car and kept Blayze down for three. Nardie walked out, his head held high and now he'll go on to face Zanyon in a Falls Count Anywhere Match at Summer Sanitarium. That will not be the last we'll see of Nardie however, as he was invited by The Overtaker for a proper sendoff on the following Full Throttle. Nardie's been difficult to deal with lately, but he's extremely talented. It will certainly be a loss for PWR. We wish him all the best in recovery.

(Stacy Warren) After a series of attempts to one up one another, the long awaited battle between PWR Creative Director and AOW World Champion, Jacob “Ace” Davis and Brandon $. Yelder will finally take place at Summer Sanitarium. Brandon struck first a few weeks ago, when he switched out of a match, and placed his manservant, Vaude DeVille in the match. He came out victorious in that encounter, but it enraged Ace. Ace challenged B$Y to an impromptu title match and it was accepted by Yelder! Yelder made his way to the ring for the match, but Ace flipped the script on Brandon this time, bringing his “third cousin, twice removed”, Shinji “The Japanese Mullet” to face B$Y. B$Y came up short in that match, after Shinji used the ropes for leverage. On this past Full Throttle, Ace offered to give Shinji an easier match against Vaude, and just as it seemed we were going to get that match, Ace struck again! Ace jumped in and said he needed a warm up before MSG, so he stepped in to face Vaude, and sent Shinji back to Japan! Ace looked in control, but he was distracted by Brandon which allowed Vaude to roll up the AOW Champion for a quick three count! Ace was livid and Brandon had the last laugh, at least until these two get to NYC! The AOW Championship is on the line! Will Ace continue as Champion, or will B$Y take back the title he created?

(Stacy Warren) Another highly anticipated match at Summer Sanitarium is the first ever for PWR, Money In The Bank Ladder Match! The winner of this match will gain a briefcase in which they can cash it in for a World Championship Match any time they wish, within the next year! It's a huge opportunity for the six men who have punched their tickets already. BB Blayze, Jacky Moonshine, Shane Donovan, Flash and after the Last Chance Lethal Lottery Tag Match; say that five times fast folks, Jacques Couteau and Taker of Darkness. The stakes are huge, and the ultimate opportunity awaits the winner! Who will be the first PWR Mr. Money In The Bank?

(Stacy Warren) Full Throttle saw another big rematch made for the PWR World Television Title as Adam Radd will defend against the former Champion, Ice Queen. The Queen came up short in her attempt to regain the title late last month, and then came up on the losing end of the Last Chance tag match to get into Money In The Bank. After a discussion with Synyster, Syn granted Icey's request for one final shot at the title. Adam Radd in his pre-match promo wasn’t too thrilled with Ice Queen not having to “earn” the rematch, but it will indeed be Icey's final shot as long as Radd is Champion. This match will be a two out of three falls contest! One of the ultimate proving grounds in this industry, with the PWR World Television Title on the line! Who leaves New York the Television Champion?

(Stacy Warren) One incredibly unique situation is the one surrounding the holder of the PWR World Tag Team Championships, Jacques Couteau. Several weeks ago, his tag team partner and one half of the Champion, Action Jacques was “kidnapped” by Jacky Moonshine and Michael Fletcher. After a series of attempts to “break” the inanimate object, finally the threat of fire to the plastic likeness brought what Drunk & Disorderly truly wanted, and that was one more shot at the World Tag Team Titles. They will get it at Summer Sanitarium! Moonshine and Couteau will be pulling double duty at the pay-per-view, as they will both be in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match! I personally can't wait to see the reunion between Jacques and AJ. Who will leave the Garden as the Champions?

(Stacy Warren) Near the end of the show last week, we saw Lizzie McFadden catch up to that mysterious bald headed woman who's been lurking around PWR events for the last several weeks. Lizzie got the first comments from the woman, but not before getting slapped across her face! The mystery woman said that “we” will see them at Summer Sanitarium! Just who is we?

(Stacy Warren) A couple of young newcomers will make their debuts at Summer Sanitarium, and they'll be doing it against each other! For the last few weeks, we've been seeing vignettes and appearances by Hailey Hail and Jon Eclipse, and now it's official! Hail and Eclipse will be making their PWR debuts against one another in Madison Square Garden! No better place to make your in-ring debut in this business than in the Mecca, MSG! What will these young up and comers bring to the table?

(Stacy Warren) It's time for one of our biggest events of the year, Summer Sanitarium! Live from Madison Square Garden on August 31st! Five big title matches are on the docket! The World Tag Team Titles, The Hollywood Knights take on Drunk & Disorderly! The Pure Championship, Veesh Man defends against Double Trouble! The World Television Championship, Adam Radd versus Ice Queen, two out of three falls! The AOW Championship, Jacob “Ace” Davis defends against AOW's founder, Brandon $. Yelder! The Money In The Bank Ladder Match, with the ultimate opportunity on the line! Big Bad Nardie's final match as he goes one on one with Zanyon in a match where Falls Count Anywhere in NYC! And our main event for the PWR World Heavyweight Championship! The Overtaker defends against Chaos Kid, and there must be a winner! All that and much, much more coming to you live on pay-per-view from NYC! Fans, that's all the time we have for the Rundown, we'll see you in MSG! Goodnight!
