PWR Rumor Rundown
August 16th, 2013

(Stacy Warren) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Stacy Warren, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.

(Stacy Warren) Another Full Throttle is in the books folks, and this was a special one indeed. We saw the presentation of the very prestigious PWR Awards! The big winner on the night was Jacques Couteau, who managed to leave Mobile with three, make that four trophies. Mr. Couteau took it upon himself to accept the award for Show of the Year, much to the chagrin of PWR’s Owner, Synyster. Couteau was also awarded Personality, Line and Tag Team of the Year, along with his diminutive partner and hetero life mate, Action Jacques. Couteau however was not so lucky when it came to the main event, as he found his shoulders pinned to the mat for the one, two, three. His opponent, the World Television Champion, Adam Radd found himself in the same predicament and was also counted out by the referee. Mr. Radd’s assertion that he should be in the middle of the hunt for the World Championship definitely gained steam after having pinned Couteau in the match, and I for one do not think we have seen the end of these two inside a PWR ring. Provided that Couteau leaves Summer Sanitarium the World Champion, “The Raddest of the Radd from Raddsville” could be knocking at the Champion’s door for a rematch, this time with the World Championship on the line.

(Stacy Warren) While we’re on the subject of the World Championship, Jacques Couteau’s path to victory could find itself becoming just a little more difficult come the end of this week’s Full Throttle. Following a threatened sit-in by BB Blayze, Synyster granted the disgruntled star the opportunity he’s been looking for. After Shane Donovan no-showed the match several weeks back with Blayze, he will have no choice but to show up this week and face the Homefront’s Ring General in a match. The stakes are high for BB Blayze, because if he defeats Shane Donovan on Full Throttle, he will find himself in the World Championship Match at Summer Sanitarium, turning a triple threat match into a fatal four way! Blayze will have to reign in his demons if he wants any shot at becoming the Champion in Dallas! Regardless of what Blayze thinks, I think he’s very capable of winning not only this match, but also the World Championship, should he reach the match at Summer Sanitarium!

(Stacy Warren) One more rematch of sorts we’re going to see this week on Full Throttle, is a rematch for the World Tag Team Championships, with The Homefront’s Overtaker and Flash taking on The Exiled’s Ice Queen and Taker of Darkness. However, after a little bit of trickeration by one Big Bad Nardie, joining the fray is the team of Nardie and the freshly returned to PWR PK Punk, collectively known as The Extremists. Nardie’s no fan of any of the people in this match, and he will have a chance to take out some frustration on both The Homefront and The Exiled and possibly bring home his first gold here in PWR’s latest incarnation. Can Punk add one more World Tag Team Championship to his impressive resume? Will Nardie get his revenge on everyone? Will The Exiled make their biggest score in PWR to date? Or will the reign of The Homefront continue?

(Stacy Warren) One more tidbit about Big Bad Nardie before we move on though; as we saw, Nardie challenged our esteemed Owner, Synyster to another match, following their epic encounter at Rise To Power III. Will Synyster grant “The Instant Classic” a rematch and reignite their co-PWR Award winning Feud of the Year? If so, what stipulations will be placed on this match? We hope to effort Synyster’s comments on this matter on Full Throttle, as well as Syn’s comments on Big James who once again called out the boss this past show. It’s never easy running the show as they say folks.

(Stacy Warren) I can’t go any further without mentioning the man who walked away with the top two PWR Awards on our last edition of Full Throttle, and that’s the former World Champion, The Overtaker! Overtaker was awarded the Superstar of the Year Award, and he also accepted for his winning effort in the PWR PPV Match of the Year, The Elimination Chamber from The Border Battle. What a match that was folks, and as always Overtaker was gracious in his acceptance of the awards and vowed to do everything in his power to repeat at the Superstar of the Year in PWR. Can he make good on that? Time will tell the tale.

(Stacy Warren) Another gracious winner of a PWR Award was the winner of the coveted Newcomer of the Year Award, which was Nemain! Nemain was brought to tears by the honor and promised to keep on an upward trend in PWR, but that rise got off to a rocky start as she found herself defeated by Jacky Moonshine, the winner of the Upset of the Year award. Both these winners will be in action on the upcoming Full Throttle, as Nemain will get to test her skills against the World Heavyweight Champion, Jacques Couteau and Jacky Moonshine will face off against Dark Chaos, with the winner getting a crack at Flash’s United States Championship at Summer Sanitarium.

(Stacy Warren) While we’re on the topic of Summer Sanitarium, I understand that Synyster is poised to make a huge announcement for the show on this week’s Full Throttle. This reporter has kept her ear to the ground, and my sources tell me it will involve the announcement of the Money In The Bank Ladder Match and it’s participants! Be sure not to miss that announcement folks!

(Stacy Warren) The long tale of the feud between Jacob “Ace” Davis and The Yelder Family took yet another turn on Full Throttle. As we all know, Ace was in control of the book this week and set up all the matches, even going so far as to book himself a rematch for the AOW Championship against the new Champion, Terrell Yelder. Terrell made his way out, ready to do battle and when it was Ace’s turn, it seemed that he had a case of the limber-tail, or so we thought. In the end, it turned out to be a rouse for Ace, allowing him to isolate Terrell’s baby brother Brandon, and drop him on his head on the concrete backstage! We hope to hear from The Yelders this week and perhaps get an update on Brandon’s condition.

(Stacy Warren) The team of Drunk and Disorderly have found themselves embroiled in a battle with the newcomer, Ken Hone after a couple of sneak attacks on the last couple of shows. Jacky has his hands full, but this week, “The Hooligan” Michael Fletcher will be the first to step into the ring with Hone, as they will go heads up. In addition, perhaps we’ll find out just a little bit of the motivation behind Mr. Hone’s arrival here in PWR.

(Stacy Warren) PWR continues down the road to Summer Sanitarium in Dallas this week folks, as we invade NOLA, New Orleans, Louisiana! The World Tag Team Championships are on the line in our main event, a Triple Threat Elimination Tag Team Match! The Homefront defends against The Exiled and The Extremists! BB Blayze attempts to join the World Championship Match at Summer Sanitarium as he takes on Shane Donovan for that right! Jacques Couteau will see action against Nemain! PWR’s TV Match of the Year Award winner, Adam Radd will take on Zanyon! US Title Contenders will battle for a shot at Flash in his hometown of Dallas! All that and much, much more! But right now, we’re out of time! For everyone in PWR, I’m Stacy Warren and we’ll see you from The Big Easy! Goodnight!
