(Stacy Warren) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Stacy Warren, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.
(Stacy Warren) Rise To Power III is in the books and it was a momentous night for PWR, no doubt. We saw title changes, shocking reappearances, and one of perhaps the most brutal matches ever. But let’s start right at the top. Folks, we have a new PWR World Heavyweight Champion and it is the eccentric Jacques Couteau. Couteau bested the long time Champion, The Overtaker in a near thirty-minute battle in the main event in Miami. The Overtaker tried several times to let his “anarchy” side loose, but his Ring General BB Blayze was there to make sure he never made that switch, but in the end, had Overtaker been allowed to make that switch, he may still be Champion today as a result of disqualification. We will hear from Couteau on his huge win and we’ll have to see how The Overtaker responds to losing the Championship. Overtaker’s focus should be on Jacques, as at Full Throttle, The Overtaker has cashed in his rematch clause and he will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship! Will Couteau’s reign be short lived, or will Overtaker’s loss at Rise To Power be a short lived speed bump in his impressive reign at the top in PWR? I would be remiss if I didn’t mention what happened at the end of Rise To Power, with the seemingly unhinged Shane Donovan laying waste to both Couteau and The Overtaker! What is on Donovan’s mind right now? I hope that we will hear from either Shane Donovan or his alter ego Reign on Full Throttle, but one thing is sure. He will be in action, as he’ll take on the aforementioned Ring General of The Homefront, BB Blayze in Tampa!
(Stacy Warren) While we are on the topic of BB Blayze, he competed in a scintillating ladder match at Rise To Power and he was at the very top of the ladder at the very end, until he was kicked off by his stable mate Flash, who is now the brand new PWR United States Champion! Flash outlasted eight other superstars to become the first United States Champion since Mary Jane Montez in 2007, and he will get right to work on our next edition of Full Throttle! PWR’s only double Champion will face off against the final PWR Hardcore Champion, Cletus Gambino! Gambino had a good showing in the ladder match and he is undoubtedly eager to prove his mettle against one of this business’s elite superstars in Flash.
(Stacy Warren) Another new Champion in PWR these days, and I cannot believe I am even saying these words right now is Terrell Yelder. You heard me right, Terrell Yelder is back and after a shocking turn of events in Miami, he is the new AOW Champion, defeating PWR’s Creative Director, Jacob “Ace” Davis. After what happened at his post show birthday party a couple weeks back, it seemed that Brandon $. Yelder was fully recovered after his tumble at A New Day, and while he walked out at Rise To Power, he didn’t walk all the way to the ring. While B$Y was addressing Ace, the man in the cloak hopped out and revealed himself to be Brandon’s older brother Terrell! Terrell clocked Ace with his trademark Temple Kick and covered Ace for the one, two, three. After the match, Terrell officially laid down the gauntlet and put everyone in PWR on notice. He stated and I quote, “WAKE YOUR ASSES UP!” Terrell’s call to arms leaves a simple question in mind. What does that mean for PWR? Terrell Yelder will be in action on Full Throttle, and we hope to hear more about his plans for his future.
(Stacy Warren) Speaking of the future, the future is definitely cloudy for The Exiled following their night at Rise To Power. In the opening match, all three members of The Exiled in the match failed to win the United States Championship and in one of the most brutal matches this journalist has ever witnessed, the leader of The Exiled, Bully Nardie fell to PWR’s Owner, Synyster in the Seven Mystery Tables of Death Match. Nardie and Synyster took it to each other for over twenty minutes and in the end, it was Synyster who was left standing, momentarily anyway still in possession of his X-Core Championship. Synyster will be in the building in Tampa and is expected to address his match at Rise To Power. In addition, it was posted on the PWR Message Boards that The Exiled will hold a meeting in the ring, right off the bat on Full Throttle. You can bet that the Bully is not happy. What could that mean for The Exiled, let alone PWR?
(Stacy Warren) On one hand is The Exiled’s troubles, but at Rise To Power it seemed that The Homefront was primed to add another to its ranks in Nemain. In a pre-match discussion, it was stated that if Nemain wanted entrance to The Homefront, all she had to do was bring the Television Championship with her. Doing that proved not so easy as Nemain fell to Adam Radd in her chance to win the Television Championship. One opportunity missed, but it seems that Nemain is going to get another chance at the gold, as she will get a rematch against Adam Radd on Full Throttle for the TV Title! If Nemain is successful in this opportunity, what does that mean for her chances at getting into PWR’s Homefront?
(Stacy Warren) Since my segues are going so brilliantly today, let me hit you with another. Speaking of rematches from Rise To Power, one more will take place as Veesh Man will defend his Pure Championship once again against Big James. After a great counter from Veesh off a superplex, James lost the match in stunning fashion. These two went neck and neck and James pushed Veesh like no other in the match, and in the eyes of Synyster, this match deserves a rematch and we will see it live in Tampa! Will the impressive reign of Veesh Man continue, or will the “Pint-Sized Spark Plug” fall to the former AOW Champion?
(Stacy Warren) Before we wrap up shop here today, we should cover something big going on over in the EWT promotion. On June 15th, there will be a huge inter-promotional mega-show between PWR, EWT and IWF. Three three-man teams will face off in a huge nine-man tag team match for promotional bragging rights. Team PWR consists of PWR’s Owner Synyster, Adam Radd and an interesting choice in Bully Nardie. After the fall out of that match, on Full Throttle, Bully Nardie will take on one-half of EWT’s Tag Champions, and the man who has been running off at the mouth on PWR’s Message Boards in Dark Chaos. This match for bragging rights will take place on PWR’s turf in Tampa. The one question I have to ask though; why would Synyster choose his nemesis, Bully Nardie for Team PWR? We hope to get an answer for that on Full Throttle this week and we should have results of that huge matchup in EWT for you as well.
(Stacy Warren) What will the fallout of Rise To Power be as PWR rolls into Tampa for Full Throttle? Flash defends his newly won United States Championship against Cletus Gambino! Bully Nardie takes on Dark Chaos! Terrell Yelder will be in action! BB Blayze takes on Shane Donovan! In addition, three big rematches from Rise To Power will take place as Veesh Man defends the Pure Championship against Big James! Adam Radd defends the Television Championship against Nemain and in our main event; Jacques Couteau makes his first defense of the World Heavyweight Championship against The Overtaker! It’s going to be a huge night in Tampa as PWR gets rolling down the road once more! We’re out of time for now! For everyone in PWR, I’m Stacy Warren and we’ll see you live in Tampa for Full Throttle! Goodnight!
