PWR Rumor Rundown
May 29th, 2012

(Stacy Warren) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Stacy Warren, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.

(Stacy Warren) After a quick trip across a Great Lake, PWR settled in on the banks of the Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio for Full Throttle and what a show it was folks! So much went down, but let's start with how we closed the show! After an intense tag team battle pitting bitter rivals as teammates, PK Punk and the World Heavyweight Champion, Chaos Kid were victorious. However, they weren’t the ones left standing! That honor went to Big Bad Nardie, who set the wheels in motion for the demise of his team, when he hit has patented Death Blow rolling elbow to the back of his partner, BB Blayze's head! After Punk picked up the pinfall in his first victory since returning to PWR, Nardie met him with a steel chair to the back! Nardie then cracked the World's Champion in the head with the chair, before standing over all with the PWR World Heavyweight Championship in hand. Nardie's reign of terror wasn't just limited to men in Cleveland, as he also left Raven Jones lying after a brutal attack, which required a trip to the hospital. Word is that Synyster will address the Raven Jones situation and Big Bad Nardie himself at this upcoming Full Throttle.

(Stacy Warren) Nardie left three of his opponents in the Elimination Chamber at The Border Battle laying in the main event, but a sixth man earned his way into the Chamber in Cleveland, as Flash defeated PWR Hardcore Champion, Taker of Darkness. Flash's resume speaks for itself, and he will be a huge threat to Chaos Kid's PWR Championship reign come Toronto. Flash will get his first opportunity to see one of his opponents for The Border Battle on the upcoming Full Throttle as all members of the Elimination Chamber match will square off in singles matches. The winners will be put into a draw to find out who will be numbers four, five and six into the Chamber. Those who lose the match, will be put into a draw to determine numbers one through three. Flash will take on the aforementioned Big Bad Nardie, PK Punk will take on The Overtaker and PWR World Champion Chaos Kid will take on BB Blayze. High stakes with a huge advantage going into the Elimination Chamber on the line in Buffalo!

(Stacy Warren) So many stories will play themselves out this coming week, and in the weeks ahead as we march toward Toronto, and one is the possible departure from PWR of PK Punk. Punk has been very vocal about his unhappiness with the change made to his match in Toronto, but could getting back on the winning track this week be just what the doctor ordered? More on this potentially huge story as it develops folks.

(Stacy Warren) The self-proclaimed “21st Century Superstar”, Brandon $. Yelder made his return to a PWR ring after nearly a five year absence, and it was a successful one, as he picked up a win against “The Hooligan” Michael Fletcher. But the celebration was short lived! Early on in the night, PWR Creative Head Jacob “Ace” Davis threw down a challenge to Brandon, that if he defeated a hand picked opponent in Toronto at The Border Battle, that win or lose, Ace would give B$Y a shot at his AOW Championship. Without hesitation, Brandon accepted and after Yelder's victorious effort, we all found out just who Ace's choice would be. The capacity crowd in Cleveland would be shocked as SHANE DONOVAN would make his return to PWR, and staredown the man who will be his opponent in Toronto in Brandon $. Yelder! Donovan has been away from the game for sometime now, but as Chris Cash stated on Full Throttle, he's a former PWR World Tag Team Champion, and PWR Rated R Champion, the precursor to the PWR Hardcore Championship. This match has the words “explosive” written all over it! Before Brandon gets to Toronto however, this week he'll face off against Jacky Moonshine, a cohort of Ace's, making his return to PWR after a short sabbatical.

(Stacy Warren) History was made this past week in Cleveland, as we crowned brand new PWR World Tag Team Champions in The Hollywood Knights, the team of Jacques Couteau and his scale likeness, Action Jacques. Jacques took a few pages out of the rulebreaker's handbook, but like they always say, “it's not cheating if you don’t get caught”. Action Jacques will have the week off this week, but Jacques Couteau will see singles action, as he will take on the PWR World Television Champion, Ice Queen. Ice Queen and Weapon X have a rematch coming down the line, but momentum is clearly on the side of the new champions.. er, champion. A singles win against Ice Queen could go a long way to getting Jacques a shot at the Television Title as well. Just one more of the many storylines we expect to play out before we head to Toronto!

(Stacy Warren) Contendership for the PWR World Television Title will take place this coming week, as Scott Kage, who was conspicuously absent last show, giving The Overtaker a forfeit win, now will have to earn a shot at the Television Title, as he'll take on Adam Radd, who got back into the win column this past week. These two are brilliant technical wrestlers, and could steal the show as they attempt to get a shot at the gold.

(Stacy Warren) The PWR Hardcore Champion, Taker of Darkness came up just short in his quest to get into the Elimination Chamber at The Border Battle, losing to Flash. This week, the champion gets back to his element, as he faces off against Weapon X in a Hardcore Non-Title match. Weapon X you know has to be a little steamed after losing the World Tag Team Titles, so this could be the perfect environment to let off some steam. Taker of Darkness will be looking for a little warmup action, as he heads into a title defense against a still unnamed opponent in Toronto. Hardcore action this week in Buffalo, and yes, I know how bad that just sounded.

(Stacy Warren) It's the last stop before we get to Toronto folks! Three big matches to determine who will get the advantage in the Elimination Chamber, plus BSY takes on Moonshine, Ice Queen looks for revenge against Jacques Couteau and much, much more! It's going to be a huge night in Buffalo, and as always, I will see you there! I'm Stacy Warren, and this has been the Rumor Rundown! Goodnight folks!
