PWR Rumor Rundown
May 14th, 2012

(Stacy Warren) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Stacy Warren, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.

(Stacy Warren) A man once said, “just when you think you have the answers, I change the questions.” Just when we thought we knew how The Border Battle was shaping up, in the span of one episode of Full Throttle, everything changed! Instead of Chaos Kid defending his World Heavyweight Championship against PK Punk, and Big Bad Nardie battling BB Blayze for bragging rights, now all four of those men will be included in a monumental Elimination Chamber match for CK's World Heavyweight Championship! In what is sort of a return to our old format, PWR Owner Synyster will be joining me here on the Rundown tonight to talk about this huge matchup and what went into making this stunning decision. Right now however, let's revisit the night that was in Detroit!

(Stacy Warren) Let's start off with the main event, and what a main event it was! It was a thrilling showdown between PWR Champion Chaos Kid and The Overtaker. These two went heads up for 15 minutes and a winner couldn’t be decided! The battle put on by these two couldn’t be ignored and in the end, The Overtaker was also a part of the huge announcement made by Jacob “Ace” Davis for the Elimination Chamber! The Overtaker goes from his first main event ever and taking the World Champion to the limit, to a pay-per-view main event for the PWR World Championship! Which Overtaker will show up this week, and what will he have to say about getting this opportunity at the gold?

(Stacy Warren) PWR kicked off the show with the co-founder of PWR, Brandon $. Yelder, and he for sure wasn’t stingy about who he went after. He had strong words for Jacob “Ace” Davis, the man he made his presence known to in Grand Rapids. We understand Ace will have a retort on our next show for Brandon, and he had some strong words for his former partner in crime, Synyster. B$Y says he's back to restore the power to PWR, and he's going to do it in the ring. He'll get his first chance this coming Full Throttle, as Brandon will have his first match in PWR in many years. Will he have ring rust, or will he be the B$Y we all remember and blaze a trail to the top?

(Stacy Warren) Someone who's made his way into the Elimination Chamber who needs a little momentum behind him is Big Bad Nardie. Nardie came up short once again to Ice Queen, after an embarrassed Raven Jones, who had spaghetti dumped on her by Nardie earlier in the night's theme music hit over the PA. Nardie lost focus and it allowed Queen to hit the Bitch Twist and pick up the win. Nardie's challenge for a Submission Match at The Border Battle was accepted by BB Blayze, but now both men find themselves in the main event in Toronto. What will both these men have to say about their loss and their gain coming out of Full Throttle? And what will Nardie have to say about Raven?

(Stacy Warren) The antics of the eccentric Jacques Couteau continued on Full Throttle, as he cut one of the most bizarre promos this reporter has ever had the duty of being on hand for, and then proceeded to stake his claim at another crack at the World Tag Team Titles for him and his scaled down likeness, Action Jacques. Couteau defeated one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Weapon X, this time without the aid of AJ, who was convalescing from an “illness”. When AJ recovers, you can bet that the team who dub themselves “The Hollywood Knights”, will be looking for a crack at the gold.

(Stacy Warren) Another man in need of a confidence boost is PK Punk, who came up on the losing end of things to a man he'll now see in Toronto, BB Blayze. This was one of the more anticipated matchups on the show, and it did not disappoint. In the end, Blayze hit a Reign of Fire off a counter to pick up the duke. Can Blayze carry the momentum with him into Toronto and become World Champion, or will Punk finally shake the stigma that he doesn't even deserve another shot at the title, and finally get the monkey off his back?

(Stacy Warren) Another highly anticipated match on the show was Flash taking on Scott Kage, and this one was a barn burner! High paced back and forth action went down and in the end, Flash picked up a huge victory! Flash has to be considered a favorite to pick up the final spot in the Elimination Chamber, and now Kage has to go back to the drawing board. Kage was looking to get another crack at Ice Queen's Television Title, has that chance gone up in smoke?

(Stacy Warren) Speaking of up in smoke, the Hardcore Title reign of Chris Craven did just that in Detroit as Taker of Darkness claimed the PWR Hardcore Title for a third time! ToD spiked Craven off a steel chair with his patented Lights Out finisher to reclaim the gold. ToD is another one who will deserve consideration for the final spot in the Elimination Chamber as well. After the match though, Chaos Kid made himself known and put an absolute beating down on the former Hardcore Champion. CK used Craven as his own version of PK Punk, showing us what he's capable of. He'll get his chance to do the same in Toronto, under different circumstances though.

(Stacy Warren) What a night it was on Full Throttle, and to get the backstage story on the huge news that came down at the show, PWR Owner Synyster will be joining me next! Stay tuned!

(Camera fades to commercial.)

PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION HAS BEEN PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING:

AND NOW, BACK TO THE ACTION!

(Camera comes back inside the PWR studios, and we see Stacy Warren sitting in a chair.)

(Stacy Warren) Welcome back to The Rumor Rundown everyone. The fallout from the last edition of Full Throttle has been vast, and here to talk about it is the Owner of PWR, Synyster.

(Camera pulls back to show Syn sitting in a chair next to Stacy.)

(Stacy Warren) Thanks for taking time out of your schedule to join us here tonight Syn.

(Synyster) No problem. Some things just need to be addressed in a formal manner. The scuttlebutt backstage has been something to say the least.

(Stacy Warren) It sure has. Talk about the decision that was made, and what led to making it.

(Synyster) Sure. We had just saw the match between PK Punk and BB Blayze, and it was a great matchup to say the least. PK came out on the losing end, and I was less than thrilled with that. Even before this, you hear the talk backstage. “How can you give PK another shot? He lost twice already. He hasn’t earned it.” To tell the complete story of this, you have to go back to 2010. It was the New Day PPV. Chaos Kid and PK Punk went at it in a fantastic match. I was leaning toward giving Punk another title shot, but things happened personally for me, and I had to shut things down. PWR went on hiatus until early this year. So, when I got going again, I knew I wanted to make things right with both men. Chaos Kid never lost the title in the ring, so he was easy to plug in there. Punk hesitated on getting the contract signed, and eventually he made his presence known. PK Punk earned the title shot at Second City Showdown after going to war with CK in 2010. Hands down. Did I have to give them this high profile match? No, but I felt they deserved it. Now, we move forward to 2012. Punk comes in and he puts on a stellar match with CK in which he made just one, one mistake and it cost him. 35 minutes those two battled. CK wins and becomes a two time Champion. Good for him. Now, where does that leave Punk? I feel Punk earned the opportunity by going at it for over a half hour with Chaos Kid. Not without a price however. If he can't get it done, this is Punk's final shot as long as CK is champion.

(Stacy Warren) Which went from a 50/50 shot to now a 1 in 6 shot.

(Synyster) Correct. The more times a high profile man like PK Punk takes a loss, the harder it is to justify putting them in big opportunities. Read the PWR Twitter feed. You'll see what they're saying. But, the decision, at least on my end to make this Elimination Chamber match isn’t a punishment toward either Chaos Kid or PK Punk. It's an opportunity for others who I feel have earned it. BB Blayze, Big Bad Nardie, The Overtaker, regardless of their win/loss records in the ring, are very deserving of this opportunity. They have everything it takes in regards of being a main eventer. They make their voices heard every show. I don’t have to like a certain person to say they're deserving of the opportunity. I’m not taking away the opportunity from Punk. I’m merely offering others a shot at immortality as well.

(Stacy Warren) There was another match that was changed because of this decision, the Submission match between Big Bad Nardie & BB Blayze. They now find themselves in the chamber.

(Synyster) Indeed. I can tell you this though, I don’t see this being the end of the Nardie/Blayze story. There's too much animosity there. The way I see it, they wanted to prove in that Submission match that one is better than the other. In my opinion, the Elimination Chamber is the ultimate proving ground. You come out of the Elimination Chamber with your hand held high, you prove to me, you prove to everyone that you're the best that there is. No one can deny you. You went through hell and back and you're standing tall.

(Stacy Warren) What about those who say switching things up like this is short-sighted?

(Synyster) I don’t agree. Yeah, things could have continued to play out as they were and it would have been great. I also think this way is going to play out just as great. This isn’t a decision I went into lightly Stacy. When Ace came to my office during the show that night, and said he had an idea, I listened to him. I thought it over, and with all the circumstances involved, I thought it was a great idea. You get the perhaps final chapter of Chaos Kid and PK Punk. You get the dynamic of BB Blayze versus Big Bad Nardie. You get The Overtaker who is plain nuts and has history with both Blayze, CK and Nardie. All of them want to pretty much kick his ass. Plus, on this upcoming Full Throttle one more person will make their way into the fray. I think the future of PWR will be just fine, no matter how it plays out.

(Stacy Warren) There's been a lot of talk on the PWR message boards and on Twitter about feeling people haven’t “earned” their opportunities.

(Synyster) That's the thing though Stacy. I feel they have. It's my job to make these matches and decide who gets the chances. Sure, I take input from everywhere and listen to what people have to say. Truly, I do. But, in the end, it's my decision and I feel justified in this one. There are a few more I can point out, but these men in this match right this moment are the lifeblood of PWR. They have earned, in my eyes anyway, have earned the opportunities afforded to them. What they make of it is up to them. It's going to be one hell of a match in Toronto.

(Stacy Warren) I guess in the end, you just have to chalk it up to you can't make everyone happy all the time.

(Synyster) Couldn’t have said it better myself. I learned that lesson long ago. I have been doing this a very long time Stacy, and you just have to roll with the punches. I've got plenty of things in the old noodle, haha.

(Stacy Warren) Thank you for joining us tonight, Syn.

(Synyster) No problem Stacy. Keep up the good work.

(Stacy Warren) There you have it folks, straight from the man himself. That's all the time we have for tonight, so for Syn and everyone here in PWR, I'm Stacy Warren, and we'll see you live on Full Throttle! Good night everyone!
