(Dan Dexter) Welcome to the Rumor Rundown! I’m Dan Dexter, here to bring you all the PWR news and behind the scenes scoop that’s fit to print.
(Dan Dexter) PWR roared into the city of Newark, New Jersey for it's final episode before our last show of 2012, and I dare you to find perhaps a more eventful show than the one we saw. How can we not start with the big announcement that ended Full Throttle and that's that PWR's Homefront will take on The Exiled in a first for PWR, WAR GAMES! Yes, “The Match Beyond” as it was billed for so long will headline our first show of 2013! I’m sure we'll hear more about this match and whom exactly will be in the match at our next show, so before we get too much into 2013, let's close out 2012!
(Dan Dexter) Our main event on Full Throttle featured our PWR World Champion, The Overtaker as he took on the man who has earned his big opportunities over the last few months in Shane Donovan. Donovan was cost a win as The Exiled made their presence known and caused the disqualification, which led to him getting involved for the first time in this Homefront versus The Exiled battle, dropping the Hardcore Champion with The E.N.D! Donovan got the boots put to him by the rest of Nardie's crew but were quickly run off as Blayze, Flash and Kage made their way to the ring to even the odds. In breaking news, Shane Donovan will get a chance to stand talk in the face of The Exiled as he will face off one on one against Taker of Darkness at A New Day! All the tension between these men and the fact that Nardie had defaced the PWR World Championship earlier in the evening just adds to the aura of what could go down as the single most brutal match in PWR at A New Day, live on pay-per-view. The Main Event, the World Championship Match pitting The Overtaker versus Bully Nardie in an Anarchy Rules Match. This match has only happened a handful of times in history and they have been among the most barbaric, violent matches in history. What will happen in Brooklyn when the World Championship is on the line and virtually anything goes? What will each man do to gain control of the PWR World Championship?
(Dan Dexter) Another heated rivalry that has building over these last several months has been the story between Brandon $. Yelder, Jacob “Ace” Davis and the man currently known as Big James. As James documented on Full Throttle, when Brandon first arrived back in PWR, it was a part of a scheme to regain control of the title he created in his own image, the AOW World Championship. After some mind games from Ace and Brandon, The Guy was cost the AOW Title, leading to a third reign by Ace Davis. Having suffered and injury that shelved him for months, James had nothing to do but sit around and watch the battle that played out over the AOW Title between B$Y and Ace Davis, culminating with a loss of the Championship by Ace to B$Y at Summer Sanitarium. Soon after, Big James started to make his presence known again, putting a series of cryptic videos out and eventually showing up and beating down B$Y, and making his intentions known. Meanwhile, Ace Davis has put his job and literally his career on the line for one more chance at the gold, making this match and making it a first as far as I know, a Triple Threat “I Quit” Match! Two men will say I quit and the last man left will be the AOW Champion. Who will leave the Barclays Center with the gold?
(Dan Dexter) The PWR Pure Championship will also be on the line on pay-per-view as Veesh Man puts his undefeated streak and the title on the line to face off against “The Hooligan” Michael Fletcher. The gamesmanship played by Fletcher in the lead up didn’t seem to put Veesh off his game as much as he'd hoped, as Veesh and his partner and long time rival Double Trouble picked up the win over Fletcher and The Executioner on Full Throttle. Veesh is undoubtedly still nursing some of the injuries inflicted by Fletcher on the previous Full Throttle and we have to wonder how much those will play into this matchup in Brooklyn. Can “The Hooligan” unseat Veesh or will the “Pint Sized Spark Plug” still be perfect heading into 2013?
(Dan Dexter) What an interesting development we heard before we went into the impromptu World Tag Team Title Match this past week, with Jacques Couteau. Couteau who is Mr. Money In The Bank and one half of the PWR World Tag Team Champions, offered his services to The Overtaker as “temporary bodyguards” in this battle against The Exiled. With a chance at the World Title looming for him, one has to wonder if this play by the master thespian is just a way to stay close in the event the Champion is left laying. We'll have to see what The Overtaker says on this topic, but at A New Day we will have a great triple threat match as Couteau takes on Flash and Ice Queen. What a match that should be!
(Dan Dexter) While I’m on the subject of triple threat matches, another absolutely huge one has been booked for A New Day! The PWR World Television Championship will be up for grabs as Adam Radd will defend the Championship against Jacky Moonshine and BB Blayze! Blayze is wrapped up in this battle against The Exiled, so we have to wonder if his focus will be at 100% on this huge opportunity, and if it's not, a huge chance for Jacky Moonshine to walk away with the gold is at hand. Adam Radd will be fresh after taking a week off at Full Throttle this past week, so I eagerly anticipate what will be a fantastic match! Who will leave A New Day the Television Champion?
(Dan Dexter) Speaking of the Television Champion, what is the obsession it seems that the newcomer Nemain has with “The Raddest of the Radd”?
(Dan Dexter) Someone who's not feeling so “radd” is the manservant for B$Y, Vaude DeVille who had his hand shattered by Big James this week. We hope to hear something on the condition of Vaude coming up this week, hopefully at A New Day at the latest. A couple more quick notes before we close things up tonight folks. The PWR Hardcore Championship will be on the line in Brooklyn as Jon Eclipse from The Exiled will face off against the returning Scott Kage! Kage got a victory in the six man match on Full Throttle but this time, there's gold on the line! Can Kage claim gold or will The Exiled's grip get a little tighter? Finally, I want to take a moment to welcome our newest correspondent, Cassidy Brooks to PWR. She will make her debut at A New Day, and I’m sure she'll have all the scoop from the PWR stars on one of the biggest nights of the year!
(Dan Dexter) Provided the Mayans aren’t right and the world keeps going after the 21st, PWR will take center stage in Brooklyn, New York for our final show of the year, A New Day! FIVE huge title matches with even bigger implications on the PWR landscape will go down, and PWR will be shaped going into 2013! Fans, we're out of time! For everyone in PWR, I’m Dan Dexter and we'll see you in Brooklyn! And to Stacy and Lizzie, hurry back. Doing this show was harder than it looked! Goodnight and happy holidays from everyone in PWR!
