PWR Rumor Rundown

(The first scene you see is of a blurry set. Not much can be made out besides the fact that a man is standing behind something and a television is behind him. Slowly, the camera focuses and we see Chris Cash, dressed in a red button up shirt with a black and red striped tie, standing in front of a smaller version of the PWR-O-Tron. The lights arise in studio as Chris Cash leans towards the microphone)

(Chris Cash) Welcome, one and all, to another spectacular edition of the Rumor Rundown. You know me, so let's just cut the small talk shall we. This week, Brandon S. Yelder will be here in studio to make mention of ANOTHER change to PWR Television as well as some banter as to the title scenes and his personal life. Also, we will have via telephone, the new PWR World Champion, Zanyon!

(Chris changes camera views)

(Chris Cash) You all heard me, a new World Champion was crowned last week as Zanyon halted Primetime Punisher's title reign a bit too prematurely in some people's eyes. Let's show you some of the closing moments of this big time main event.

PTP pulls Zanyon back to his feet and backs him to the ropes. PTP hits Zanyon with a couple of chops before shooting him into the ropes. Zanyon reverses it and he sends PTP into the ropes, PTP off the opposite side, going for the crossbody, but Zanyon catches him! What strength by Zanyon, catching and holding the 275-pound PTP in the air! Zanyon could go for the Windy City Slam here, Zanyon swings PTP, PTP swings out of the move and PTP hits the Primetime Cutter! PTP planted Zanyon! PTP goes for the cover, 1 ........ 2 ........ kickout by Zanyon! PTP was a split second away from retaining the title! PTP gives the signal; he's going for the Primetime Execution! PTP stands back away from Zanyon, he waits for him to rise to his feet; wait a minute! Here comes Mary-Jane Montez! The former World Heavyweight Champion! What's she doing here! PTP turns toward her, and she's yelling back at him! What is going on here? MJM hops up on the apron, and PTP is yelling for her to get down off the apron, as is the referee! Zanyon comes up behind PTP and hits him with a low blow! What a dirty tactic from Zanyon! MJM hops back down off the apron, and steps back up the ramp, she allowed PTP to be distracted, and now PTP is down! Zanyon pulls PTP up by the hair and locks his arm, and hits the Chicago Shutdown! Zanyon has PTP down and out, he covers, 1 ........ 2 ........ kickout by PTP! PTP hangs in there! Zanyon quickly back to his feet, and he pulls the champion toward the corner, what's he thinking here? Zanyon kicks PTP in the face and he heads up to the top rope! What's he going to do here? Zanyon leaps off, he nails the Phoenix Splash! This could be it; do we have a new World Champion? Zanyon hooks the leg, 1 ........ 2 ........ 3! Zanyon wins! Zanyon is the new PWR World Champion!

[Footage ends as Chris Cash comes into focus]

(Chris Cash) With me now via telephone from his home in Chicago is the current PWR World Champion, Zanyon! Zanyon, are you there?

(Zanyon) I'm here buddy.

(Chris Cash) Alright, welcome to your first Rumor Rundown.

(Zanyon) Good to be here.

(Chris Cash) So, last time we saw you, you walked out of Kansas City with the PWR World Championship in your possession. How does it feel to have another World championship to your tote board?

(Zanyon) It's good to know that I still have what it takes to be called World Champion. Many people have said that I am not World Championship material. Well, for what it's worth, they can shove it.

(Chris Cash) Well I, for one, am not a part of those that doubted you and neither is PWR management. What's next for a superstar like Zanyon in PWR or even in wrestling period?

(Zanyon) I am not too sure to be honest. While I do have this title in my possession, I would also like to be able to walk away from wrestling while I still have the ability to walk. It's a battle of what I want more. Do I want a life in the ring or do I just want a life?

(Chris Cash) Well, whatever you decide is good enough for us here at Pro Wrestling Rampage. Now, back to your title win. Some will call it clouded as to how you won due to some distracting by Mary-Jane Montez. What are your thoughts?

(Zanyon) A win is a win is a win, Chris. No matter what people say, when they put their heads down to sleep tonight, I will be the PWR World Champion. I also aim to have a healthy reign so people might want to sleep soundly or count sheep or something.

(Chris Cash) Well, this week, you are facing a former PWR World Champion in Mary-Jane Montez for your PWR World Championship. Do you think that another World Champion could be crowned in 3 consecutive shows?

(Zanyon) Hell no! MJM won't beat me. It's not in the cards, Chris. What is in the cards is that I will come up the winner and still your PWR World Champion.

(Chris Cash) Well, it's also been stated that Primetime Punisher is your special guest referee in this title match at Full Throttle.

(Zanyon) Great, that big oaf is going to be in the same ring as me again? No matter, I have won with him in the ring before and I will win again.

(Chris Cash) Very nice. Before we go, can you give us an update on your Chicago Bears. We know you are a Chicago native. So what do you think will happen?

(Zanyon) The Bears are going to be like I am now.

(Chris Cash) What's that?

(Zanyon) Champion!

(Chris Cash) **laughs** Very nice. Ladies and gentlemen, this was Zanyon. Thanks for your time.

(Zanyon) My pleasure Chris.

(Chris changes focus once again)

(Chris Cash) Well, you all know the main event for Full Throttle, but let me inform you of the other matches that you will see as PWR rolls into Denver, Colorado on October 26th!

(Chris Cash) After taking a week off to lick some wounds, Scott Kage is back and is being pitted against one of the men who he was supposed to team with, Paul Pain. Even though Paul did find a replacement for Kage, they still lost and he probably believes it is because of Kage's no-show. Will Kage be able to shake his demons and beat out the man from Oak Harbor or will Paul Pain add another name to his list of people to get his Pain Killer?

(Chris Cash) Last week, it was Corky Angle versus Duncan McCloud. This week in International Division action, Marcus K. Yelder takes on the newcomer Andrew Stratton. Not much can be said for Andrew Stratton since he is a newcomer but we do know a lot about Marcus. Marcus has picked up win after win here in PWR and now with Chris Paige at his side, he is sure to be twice as dominant. Can Stratton use some beginner's luck against "The Hot Commodity" or will MKY prove that it takes more than luck to defeat him.

(Chris Cash) At Summer Sanitarium, Reign shocked the PWR audience by debuting and winning the Rated R Championship from Blayde. After taking some time off to heal, Blayde is back with bad intentions. It will be Blayde versus Reign again for the PWR Rated R Championship! This one will not be for the weak of heart and/or stomach.

(Chris Cash) Last week, these two men faced each other in a six-man tag. Now, it will be for the PWR United States Championship. The challenger, Flash, looks to do something that his partner could not do. Flash looks to be the first person to defeat Mavick in active competition since losing at our very first show, Rise To Power. Will Mavick continue to be unstoppable and keep his double reign intact or will Flash come "from the inside" and take a belt that is precious to "The Motown Monster?"

(Chris Cash) And of course, your main event. Zanyon lives in Chicago and MJM frequents the Quad Cities. Primetime Punisher is the former World Champion and is the guest referee in this match. Can PTP be unbiased at all in this match-up? How will the champion and challenger react to each other's similar in-ring styles? There is only one way to find out everyone and that is by tuning into Full Throttle! We are going to take a quick commercial break. (Chris Cash) Welcome back! With me at this time is PWR's mastermind when it comes to innovation! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Brandon S. Yelder to the Rundown!

(The camera changes focus to show Brandon dressed in a black suit with a blue shirt underneath as the collar of that shirt is flipped over the collar of the suit jacket)

(Brandon S. Yelder) Thanks Chris. It's good to see you still have a job here!

(Chris Cash) Thank you for the opportunity to help give the world a taste of what I love.

(Brandon S. Yelder) Good to hear, let's get down to business. **Brandon points to his face** Cameraman, focus here!

(The cameraman zooms onto Brandon's face)

(Brandon S. Yelder) It is with sadness that Pro Wrestling Rampage has to make some cuts to make budget. We are happy with the talent on our roster but we will be having to minimize our on-screen talents. Sadly, PWR staff has agreed on the release of one Mr. Chris Cash!

(Camera cuts to Chris' face as his jaw is dropped in shock)

(Brandon S. Yelder) We wish Mr. Cash all the best in his future endeavors.

(Chris Cash) I'm…I'm…fired?

(Brandon S. Yelder) Psssh, no! I was just ribbing you. That's not the big announcement!

(Chris Cash) **pulls out a handkerchief and wipes his forehead** Whew, for a minute there I thought I was a goner!

(Brandon S. Yelder) Chris, if we were to fire you, PWR would have no voice. You are probably the only 100% lock on keeping his/her job.

(Chris Cash) That's a very nice thing to say.

(Brandon S. Yelder) Yes it is. Now please, do your job and take back control of this interview!

(Chris Cash) Alright. Well Brandon, it is a pleasure to have you on our program once again. We know you have an announcement but what exactly is that announcement?

(Brandon S. Yelder) I want to keep that under wraps until the last possible moment. Is there anything you would like to ask?

(Chris Cash) What was your overall outlook of the debut of the International Division?

(Brandon S. Yelder) You see, I think right now that the International Division has a long way to grow. Even though Corky and Duncan decided to put on one hell of a show, the fact remains that we need more talent and more importantly, a champion!

(Chris Cash) Have you been in contact with any more superstars to be a part of the International Division?

(Brandon S. Yelder) As of right now, PWR has been in contact with 3 more superstars of World Title accolade! One has already signed on the dotted line and the other 2 are just minor technicalities before they become finalized.

(Chris Cash) Can you leak any of that information?

(Brandon S. Yelder) All I will say is that if Corky Angle surprised you, wait until you see who else PWR has acquired!

(Chris Cash) Very nice. What do you feel about your Pure Division? Is it to your standards so far or is there room for improvement?

(Brandon S. Yelder) There is always room for improvement, but as of right now, I'm content with where the Pure Division is. Duncan McCloud is a fine champion and all of the Pure matches so far have been at least 3 star matches. There is only room to grow!

(Chris Cash) Very true! So, is now the time for the big announcement?

(Brandon S. Yelder) No, ask me some more questions?

(Chris Cash) Alright, how are things with you and Alexzandria?

(Brandon S. Yelder) Things are fine with us. She is happy. I am happy. We are happy.

(Chris Cash) Have you heard any more from Cruncher since his departure from PWR.

(Brandon S. Yelder) No comment.

(Chris Cash) Is there any truth to the fact that PWR is scheduling an inter-promotional event in the near future?

(Brandon S. Yelder) No comment.

(Chris Cash) In the distant future?

(Brandon S. Yelder) No comment.

(Chris Cash) Alright. I'm out of questions. It's gotta be announcement time!

(Brandon S. Yelder) Fine! It is with a smile on my face that I make this announcement. PWR has finally decided to move up in the world. Now, instead of there being just one show… we now have two.

(Brandon points to the screen and a graphic appears)

(Brandon S. Yelder) Starting this week, PWR will be airing Overload!

(Chris Cash) Wow! So, what can we see on Overload?

(Brandon S. Yelder) Funny you should ask. See, Overload is a name with dual purpose. First, it is overloaded with some of the best action NOT found on Full Throttle. Secondly, without this show, Full Throttle would be OVERLOADED with talented wrestlers not getting the air time they deserve.

(Chris Cash) Haha, creative!

(Brandon S. Yelder) It's my job. Anyway, I have with me the matches that will take place this week on Overload!

(Brandon reaches into his pocket and pulls out an index card)

(Brandon S. Yelder) To open the show, we will have 2 wily veterans squaring off in a match that is good enough to be on live TV. We will have Jericho Kane going toe-to-toe with Amy Suicide! Also, you will see the rematch from a week ago as Anthony Montez goes against the 600 pound cruiserweight, Tiny the Clown! In tag team action, you will see the debuting "Mean" Mark Jacobs team with "The Mack" Xavier Black going against the team of "Pure F'N Greatness" Rock Roberts and "The Ghost" Bryan Kros! For the number one contendership to the PWR Tag Team Championships, we will have The Death Dealers, managed by Moon, taking on Team America!

(Chris Cash) That's an overloaded card, pardon the pun. What could the main event be?

(Brandon S. Yelder) Well, in a chance to become the number one contender to the PWR Pure Wrestling Championship, "The Sensational Shooter" Shane Montez will square off with the current PWR Pure Wrestling Champion, Duncan McCloud. Should Shane win this week, he will have a shot at Duncan next week for the PWR Pure Wrestling Championship!

(Chris Cash) Goodnight! That is a huge card! You all must be about giving EVERY fan the right to see EVERY match that takes place on a given night.

(Brandon S. Yelder) Yes. We are all about bringing the PoWeR back into professional wrestling!
