Highlights of the Hell in a Cell main event, the Tag Team Turmoil match for the International Division Tag Team Championships, and the six-man tables match are showcased. The video ends, and the opening for PWR Full Throttle rolls. The opening wraps up, and the cameras come up inside the arena, and we hear "Hollow Ground" by Hatebreed begin over the PA. The crowd cheers wildly, as PWR co-owner and Director of Authority, Synyster bursts through the curtain. Synyster steps onto the stage and applauds the fans in attendance, as "Make It Rain" by Lil' Wayne and Fat Joe comes over the PA, and out steps PWR co-founder and Creative Director, Brandon S. Yelder! BSY steps to Synyster and they shake hands, and hold their hands high, as tonight they celebrate the one year anniversary for PWR. BSY and Synyster make their way down the aisle and into the ring. They both take microphones from the ringside attendant, and begin to speak in the ring.)

(Synyster) Good evening everyone and welcome to PWR Full Throttle!
(Crowd cheers wildly.)
(Synyster) We want to thank you all for coming out on this most special of nights. This is our official celebration of our one-year anniversary in business!
(Brandon S. Yelder) And what better way to kick off an anniversary than to have the beginning of a tournament to crown our “Franchise.”.
(Synyster) This tournament will consist of thirty-two men. At the end, which will take place at Rise to Power II, we will have standing before us, the one true "Franchise" of this company. We are also honored to make this tournament in tribute to a man, who was a great influence on many of our superstars, the late Eddie Guerrero..
(Crowd cheers wildly, then starts a chant of "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie".).
(Brandon S. Yelder) Some people say that we have fallen off the beaten path and that our unique attributes are killing us. One thing is for sure...we are not anything that has been done. We are PWR. You can call it Pro Wrestling Rampage. I say it's the beginning of the Pro Wrestling Revolution! For all the critics...stay in the peanut gallery and let the big boys make the decisions..
(Synyster) This company was built on doing things the way we wanted, and damn it, that's how it's going to stay..
(Brandon S. Yelder) We do things the way we do and that's final. We don't run our guys ragged. We are the best at what we do. We know we aren't perfect...but we strive to be. And year two starts where year one left off...with non-stop, in-your-face action!.
(Synyster) Speaking of action, tonight in our main event, we have one of the biggest matches in our history. MJM defends her World Championship against Mavick. The Circle will collide tonight. In that match, there will be a special guest referee. This is a man, who I have brought into PWR, and to tell you the truth, not alot of people are going to know this man. Not even my partner..
(Brandon S. Yelder) I mean...I know who he is but not who he is..
(Synyster) Two people who will know this man, and know him very well are our World Heavyweight Champion, MJM and her brother, Shane Montez. This man...
(Just then, MJM and Shane come over the video wall, at the top of the entrance ramp.).
(Shane Montez) I've been hearing about this rumor all week, since it came out that we would have a special guest referee. And we know him very well..
(MJM) So, where would we "know" this man from..
(Synyster) A little place called the Hardcore Trivia Federation. The HTF. Remember it?.
(The crowd starts to buzz.).
(Shane Montez) Damn you Syn, who the hell is it? Is it Dave? Shaun?.
(Synyster) Funny you should ask. Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to you, one of my best friends in this world. He is the former co-founder and president of the HTF, he is Henry Franklin!.
("The World is Mine" by Ice Cube comes over the PA, and out walks the former HTF co-owner, Henry Franklin. Franklin makes his way to the ring, and enters as MJM and Shane are going nuts in their locker room. Franklin comes in and shakes hands with Synyster and BSY, then Synyster hands Franklin his mic, and he speaks.)
(Henry Franklin) You know, when I came back into this business, I didn't know what to expect. I thought that since I was away from the business for a few years, that I might have lost a step. I thought that I might not have what it takes anymore. But, when that song kicked in, it reminded of what it was like before I left this business. The world was mine, and it was in the palm of my hand. Since I've left however, I have seen people come into this business who flat out, for the lack of a better term, sucked. People that annoy me every time I watch this show with their antics. There's people who have claimed to be the best technical, best in-ring performer, best this, best that, blah, blah, blah, blah. They come and go from this business and to be perfectly honest with you, I've yet to see anyone who could carry my jock strap. Now I know this is the anniversary show, and I respect that, but some things just have to be said. I was talking to my good buddy Syn over here, and I told him that some of these people need to be taken down a peg or two, and this is what he said to me. He said, "Hen, why don't you step back into the ring, and take them down yourself. I know you still can. Take them down like only the OG Triple OG can." So, I got on the first thing smoking and here I am in PWR. There's a couple people in particular, that are at the top of my list, and that's you two looking at me on that screen up there. MJ, Shane, I just bet you never thought you would see my ass again. Trust me, your eyes are not deceiving you, it is I, Hen Franklin, back in your face one more time. I am back to set some things right in this place, and it starts tonight with refereeing this main event tonight. Maybe I'll call it right down the middle, maybe I won't. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Syn, thanks for the invite, Brandon, good to finally meet you. MJ, I'll see you a little later.
(Chris Cash) What a blast from the past! Henry Franklin, returns to the wrestling business in a big way here tonight! The Circle can't be happy about this! Fans, it's going to be a big night, Franchise Cup tournament action begins with this man, The Executioner, who is standing by with Dan Dexter.
(Camera transitions backstage, to Dan Dexter who is standing by with the man who became the last UTF Champion at The Border Battle, The Executioner.)
(Dan Dexter) Exie, at the Border Battle you made history by becoming the last reigning UTF Champion, and tonight you face Paul Pain in the 1st round of the PWR Franchise Cup Tournament. What are your thoughts?
(The Executioner) Last week I made history, but tonight is different. Tonight is the 1st Round of the Tournament. I will walk down that aisle and into the ring. I will keep my head up, I will be focused, and Paul Pain will witness another side of The Executioner tonight!
(Dan Dexter) What do you think are your chances in winning this tournament?
(The Executioner) You think I don't stand a chance?
(Dan Dexter) I never said that, I'm just aski...
(The Executioner) Just shut up! Never ever doubt my word! I will be the winner of this tournament, guaranteed! I won 2 Royal Rumble matches in my career, and I guaranteed victory on both occasions, and I plan on doing the same this time. I will not rest, I will not sleep, until I accomplish what I'm here to do, and that is become the youngest PWR World Heavyweight Champion!
(Exie walks away as we fade to commercial.)
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Chris Cash) Welcome back to Full Throttle, from Grand Forks! It's been one hell of a start to our show here tonight, and we still have a full slate of action for you! Let's officially get this tournament underway, with our first 1st round match, in the Classic Division, it's The Executioner vs. Paul Pain!
2007 PWR Eddie Guerrero Memorial Franchise Cup Tournament First Round Match - Classic Bracket
The Executioner vs Paul Pain
"I'm Spitfire" by The Prodigy begins to play over the announcement system. Out from the back walks the man known as The Executioner. What a crowd reaction here for him tonight; the crowd seems fully behind him. He walks down the ramp and slides into the ring. He gets to his feet and turns facing the entrance ramp as "Cowboys from Hell" by Pantera begins to play over the announcement system and out from the back comes Paul Pain. He walks down the ramp and the crowd hates this guy. Walking around the ring and up the steps, onto the apron. He ducks between the ropes and enters the ring. The bell has sounded and the match has begun. Executioner and Paul lock up in the center of the ring. Paul gains the early advantage with an armbar on Executioner. Applying the pressure, Executioner tries to reach up and pull Paul’s grip off him with no success. Executioner then walks towards the ropes and grabs them causing the ref to break the hold. Paul backs away at the ref’s order. Executioner shakes his arm, to get the blood flowing all throughout the arm again. Going to the center of the ring to meet Paul, they lock up again. This time Paul gets a side headlock on Executioner. Lifting his knee up, he rams it into the face of Executioner. Executioner’s head bounces up, and Paul lets go of the side headlock, twists his body and then uses a powerful clothesline to take down Executioner. He then reaches down and grabs Executioner by his head, lifting him up. He shoves Executioner back into a corner. Paul runs forward, again with another powerful clothesline. Paul backs up and Executioner stumbles out of the corner right into Pain’s hands, Paul lifts him into the air and then slams him down with a spinebuster! It looks like this match could be over very early! Paul covers Executioner, 1 ……… 2 ……… Executioner gets the shoulder up! I thought it was over there myself. Executioner in some way manages to keep this match alive by getting the shoulder up. Paul gets to his feet and taunts Executioner into getting up. Executioner slowly begins to get up. He does and turns around; Paul reaches out and grabs his throat. Executioner quickly kicks Paul in the gut, not once but twice, and that loosens his grip. Executioner then runs back and bounces himself off the ropes, but right into a big boot from Paul! Executioner back onto the mat, it is a surprise his head didn’t come off there! Paul lifts him back to his feet, and stuffs Executioner’s head between his legs. He hooks Executioners waist and lifts him up into the air. Paul then slams him down onto the mat with a powerbomb! This could be it if Paul goes for the cover! But no, Paul does not go for a cover!? Instead he looks to the corner, then back down at Executioner. He positions Executioner to his liking and then heads to the corner. He climbs to the top rope, pushing himself off, and tries to land on top of Executioner with a big splash but Executioner moved out of the way! This may be the time for Executioner to turn things around. Executioner and Paul both get to their feet at the same time. A battle of blows begins to be exchanged between the men. Executioner gets the upper hand. He backs into the ropes and comes forward. Paul tries a big boot again, but Executioner ducks around it, stopping right behind Paul. Paul turns around; Executioner goes for The Execution, and Paul blocks it and sends Executioner into the ropes. Executioner bounces off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, as his arm hits Paul, Paul was able to reach out and grab Executioner by the throat! Paul lifts him up and drives him into the mat with the Pain Killer! My god, Executioner was just laid out with the Pain Killer! This could be it as Paul covers, 1 ……… 2 ……… KICKOUT by Executioner!!! How in the hell did Executioner manage to kick out of that? He is showing a lot guts, sticking around in this match with the beating he has taken. Paul is looking at the ref as if he is about to kill him. He gets into the ref’s face and they begin to fight. This argument is escalating very quickly and Paul pushes the ref back. The ref yells at him and then pushes Paul back! Executioner then grabs Paul as he is stumbling back from the ref push and gets rolled up with a schoolboy! 1 ……… 2 ……… 3!! Executioner steals the win from Paul Pain!!
Winner by pinfall at 8:20 - The Executioner
(Chris Cash) What a big win for The Executioner, he's a dark horse in my opinion in this tournament. He's got all the tools, but can he put it together for four wins? Time will tell the tale on that. Executioner becomes the first man to advance! For our next contest, we go to the International bracket, as Corky Angle will take on "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy. Both men are standing by with comments, so let's take you backstage now.
("Hollywood" Duckie Maloy) 31 men…1 duck! Tonight, I step out of the pond once again and into the PWR ring. This time against arguably the best wrestler in the world today. Corky Angle…I respect you but don't confuse that with fear. Tonight, I am going to give you everything you ever thought I could and more. Tonight…I'M GOING TO QUUUUUUUUUACK YOU UP!
(Camera then shows Corky Angle watching Maloy's promo.)
(Corky Angle) And people call me special! Duckman, I don't need to tell you who I am because you and the rest of the world should know just who I am. You know good and well that there is no way that you can beat in any ring. A bull ring…a boxing ring…or a wrestling ring! Maloy, you will wish that you just stayed a duck and never thought of becoming a pro wrestler. It's true…it's damn true!
(Camera cuts to commercial.)
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Video shows us the studio of the radio show, of the shock-jocks Opie and Anthony.)
(Opie) Hey folks. As many of you know me, Anthony and Jimmy love wrestling. We've had every wrestler you can think of on this show.
(Jim Norton) Including Chyna................ mmmmmmmm.... She is so hot!
(Anthony) Haha, Jimmy still has a hard on for Chyna.
(Jim Norton) Hey, screw you Tony that is one handsome woman!
(Opie) Anyway...... In the studio we have none other, than the PWR Tag Team Champions of the World, Mr. Shane Montez and "The Motown Monster", Mavick. What's crackin' boys? Welcome to the house of O and A.
(Shane Montez) What's up guys? I like that, Mr. Shane Montez. That's how a legend is supposed to be greeted.
(Mavick) Yeah Shane, I agree. Where the hell is my Mr. Mavick? What, no Mr. cause I'm black? Haha, damn that Don Imus.
(Opie) Haha, sorry dude. My bad man, hey, at least I'm not Synyster and Brandon trying to hold you down, ya know?
(Mavick) You know what, they threw everything they could at us, and they still are sucking on our dust. We beat everybody management put in front of us, and even though I am FINALLY getting my World Title shot this week, I think they're going to screw me over anyway. Mary-Jane too.
(Anthony) Oh Opie and me know what it's like to have management try to screw you, so we're definitely pulling for The Circle this week in PWR. Do you guys have any idea of what they may have planned for you?
(Shane Montez) I haven't a clue. All I know is that if Syn and Brandon think we're stupid and that we're going to let our guard down, they're sadly mistaken. This upcoming show will be a celebration for The Circle and for my boy Mavick, as he celebrates one year of being the PWR United States Champion. The longest reigning champion in the company's history. Syn and Brandon better know that screwing with that celebration will get them hurt.
(Mavick) So says The Circle, Let the Blood Flow!!!
(Jim Norton) Well, after that I just have one thing to say............. Let's talk about how hot Shane's sister Mary-Jane is. That's one handsome woman.
(Everyone laughs as the video ends and the camera takes us backstage, to Stacy Warren, who is standing by with "The Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane.)
(Stacy Warren) Joining me at this time, "The Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane. Jericho, I bring you some great news!
(Jericho Kane) Oh yeah, what's that little missy?
(Stacy Warren) It seems that Duncan McCloud is nowhere to be found, so it looks like you're going to advance via forfeit.
(Jericho Kane) That is good news. I was looking forward to getting my revenge on Duncan for jumping me a few weeks back, but hey, if he's too much of a coward to show up, all the better. I don't even have to break a sweat. Unless… you want to help me break one. How bout it? You wanna go for a little roll in the hay with "The Thrillbilly?"
(Stacy Warren) Ugh…
(Stacy walks off, and Jericho Kane stands there for a moment, before taking off down a long hallway. Jericho gets to a door at the end, and swings it open as the camera follows him. Just as the camera gets there, we look in and see on the floor a bound and gagged Duncan McCloud, who is bleeding from the head. The door quickly slams shut. Camera fades back to inside the arena.)
(Chris Cash) What in the hell? McCloud isn't missing, he's being held captive by Jericho Kane! Kane looks like he got his chance for revenge after all! The ruling is official, Kane advances, so it doesn't look like there's anything anyone is going to be able to do about it. Up next, it's International Division action as Corky Angle takes on "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy. Let's get down to the ring for the introductions.
("10th Man Down" by Nightwish plays as "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy makes his way down to the ring. Some would say that The Duck got the short end of the stick here as he drew probably one of the most ferocious competitors to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots, one Mr. Corky Angle. Maloy walks down the aisle with a purpose and does not look one bit afraid of the match he will be going into tonight. Maloy rolls inside the ring and gets checked by the official as "Medal" resounds throughout the arena. The crowd gets up to their feet as Corky Angle makes his way down to the ring. Whether you like him or you don't, you have to respect what he can do inside the squared circle. Corky gets down to the ring and rolls inside.)
(Chris Cash) Both men are in the ring now as the referee finishes up with the checking of Corky Angle. This match should be a classic International match-up. Let's get down to the ring!
2007 PWR Eddie Guerrero Memorial Franchise Cup Tournament First Round Match - International Bracket
"Special Olympic Gold Medalist" Corky Angle vs "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy
The bell sounds and both men come out. Maloy has the obvious size advantage on Corky but Corky's ring presence and savvy are sure to make up for his raw mass. Both men lock up, Maloy with the early advantage. Maloy backs Angle against the ropes and the referee calls for the clean break, 1…2…3…4…Maloy breaks the grip and goes for a chop! Angle ducks and Maloy is backed against the ropes now! Angle rears back and unleashes a hellacious chop across the pectoral muscles of his opponent. The crowd lets out a "whoo" as Angle lights Duckie up with a second and a third before whipping him across the ring! Maloy rebounds and Corky drops his head. Maloy sees the telegraphed back drop coming and kicks Corky right in the face! Angle pops up and Maloy follows up with a stiff clothesline. Angle drops and Maloy falls with him to make the cover, 1……2……kickout by The Special Olympic Gold Medalist. Maloy stands up to his feet and pulls Corky up with him. Maloy throws a few punches to the face of Angle that gets him admonished by the referee but Maloy pays no attention. Maloy backs Angle into a corner and drives in 3 successive shoulder thrusts before sending Angle across the ring. Angle is at the corner and Maloy charges in. Angle grabs the top rope and leaps backwards over the charging duck! Maloy gets a sternum full of turnbuckle and backs into Angle. Angle soundly rolls Maloy up with a school boy for a near fall of two! Angle gets up and Maloy is right behind him. Angle kicks Maloy in the gut and then takes him up and over with a vertical suplex; Angle floats over and makes the cover again for another near fall. Both men rise up again and Angle grabs Maloy with a waist lock and takes Maloy up and over with a overhead belly-to-belly; that's textbook Corky Angle right there! Maloy lands hard and Angle scampers over and makes the cover, 1……2……KICKOUT by Maloy. Angle bends down and pulls Maloy up to his feet but Maloy takes a cheap shot by gauging at the eyes of Angle! Angle is blinded and Maloy takes control of the match-up. Angle staggers away from Maloy but Maloy charges at Angle and takes him down with a massive forearm strike along the shoulder blades! Angle drops down to his knees as Maloy starts to put the boots to his opponent; the referee starts to make a five count and Maloy gives separation to Angle at about 4.9998 seconds. The referee warns Maloy that he will stop the match if Maloy does not obey his count. Maloy acts sincere but goes right back to where he left off, putting the boots to Corky Angle. This strategy is very sound but the crowd is having none of it! Maloy reaches down and pulls Angle up slowly. Maloy kicks Angle in the gut and sets him up for a piledriver. Maloy holds Angle upside down for quite some time and WHAM! Angle's head bounces off the mat like a pinball! Angle lays flat as Maloy makes the cover, 1……2……KICKOUT by the man from Pittsburgh! Maloy stands up and pulls Angle to his feet very slowly. Maloy goes back to the closed fists on the body and head of Angle and the official tries to get in between them. Maloy uses his size to block the referee's line of sight and jabs Angle in the throat with his thumb! Angle drops to one knee, clutching at his throat as the referee asks Maloy what he did. Maloy obviously denies it, but has a Cheshire cat like grin that give himself away to everyone but the referee! Maloy gets back to Angle and pulls him up. Maloy pulls Angle up to his feet and up on his shoulder. Maloy charges at the corner and squashes Angle between his 280 pound body and the unforgiving turnbuckles! The front row of fans can hear the wind escaping from Angle's lungs as Maloy is in good control of this match. Maloy smirks at the crowd before hoisting Angle up and sitting him on the top turnbuckle. Maloy climbs up the corner from the inside of the ring facing Angle and is now standing on the top rope! Maloy slaps Angle on the top of the head twice before leaping up and snapping off a huge top rope frankensteiner! Angle lands hard in the ring as the crowd pops for the athleticism of the man from LA! Maloy rolls over and makes the cover, 1……2……3, NO! Angle gets the shoulder up! Maloy goes crazy at just the thought of his top rope frankensteiner not putting Angle away! Maloy gets up and calls for the end! Maloy pulls Angle up by his neck and walks Angle to the corner. Maloy's back is to the corner as he sits himself up on the top rope, pulling Angle up with him. Maloy is now standing on the top rope facing the ring and Angle is on the middle rope facing Maloy! Maloy is looking for the Pepsi Plunge! Maloy bends Angle down and goes to hook the Pedigree! WAIT! Corky blocks it and reverses it! Angle has Maloy up on his shoulders and leaps back! SUPER SPECIAL OLYMPIC SLAM! Maloy lands hard and Angle's body floats over from the impact. The referee is in shock but finally notices the cover, 1…………2…………3! Corky Angle advances to the next round of the Franchise Cup!
Winner by pinfall at 9:24 - "Special Olympic Gold Medalist" Corky Angle
(Chris Cash) No way! Angle had no sort of control over that match-up but in one felt swoop…he connects with a Special Olympic Slam and Maloy's tournament life is HISTORY! Quite the big win for Corky Angle, who we're still waiting for to make that huge push here in PWR, like he has in so many other feds. Maybe the competition here is at a higher level, but this could be that first step towards big things in the future. Speaking of the future, here's a man who I think has a huge future in front of him in PWR, and that's Anthony Montez. He's standing by with our own Dan Dexter.
(Camera switches backstage into the locker room of Anthony Montez.)
(Dan Dexter) I'm here with "The Machine" Anthony Montez.
(Anthony doesn't pay much attention to Dexter, as he stands putting tape around his gloves.)
(Dan Dexter) Champ, how you feeling tonight?
(Anthony continues to ignore Dexter.)
(Dan Dexter) Any comments on what happened at The Border Battle between you and your sister?
(Anthony reaches past Dexter into his locker, but continues to ignore his questions.)
(Dan Dexter) Haha, uh champ... Help me out here, don't you have anything to say?
(Anthony looks at Dexter)
(Anthony Montez) You want a comment. Ok Dexter, here's your comment. *Bleep* you and *Bleep* the Montez family, I'm done with them.
(Anthony walks away from Dexter, who is a little shaken, as camera fades out to commercial.)
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Miss K.C. Steele) I'm here tonight with my special guest Bryan Kros!
(Bryan Kros and Lacey walk into camera view. Lacey gives K.C. a bad look. K.C. smiles.)
(Miss K.C. Steele) Lacey, I was thinking. Maybe we should put behind our differences and get along?
(Lacey steps in front of Bryan and gets in K.C.'s face.)
(Lacey) You must be smoking something special honey. You think I'm going to forget what you said to me last time?
(Miss K.C. Steele) We have a lot to discuss Lacey, we made our start here on a bad note. I just want to apologize. Besides, me and Bryan already had a talk.
(Lacey turns and faces Bryan.)
(Lacey) Ya'll did what?
(Bryan smiles.)
(Bryan Kros) Yeah babe. We had a talk. K.C. has just been walking around here with nothing to do. No one wants to be interviewed by her. So I decided that since we all have a past and know each other, we can all settle our differences and have Miss Steele here be our personal interviewer.
(Lacey has a confused look on her face as K.C.'s smile brightens. Lacey turns back to K.C. and stares at her hard. The crowd starts to cheer as if a cat fight is going to start. Than Lacey backs off.)
(Lacey) Fine, talk to that bitch.
(Lacey walks off camera. K.C. continues the interview with Bryan.)
(Miss K.C. Steele) So now that we have that settled, sort to speak, what are your opinions on The Franchise Cup?
(Bryan Kros) Let me just say this. I give respect to all of the contenders in this Franchise Cup, hell anyone and everyone who has something to do with PWR. Yes, even the assholes that beat up innocent women and leave them soaking in a shower. This is a ladder we have to climb. An obstacle we have to push ourselves through . A battle we have to beat. A war we have to fight! Some will not make it and to those who do I got one thing to say, let the best man win!
(Bryan Kros rushes away ready for competition.)
(Miss K.C. Steele) There you have it. Words from a true champion, at least a champion in my heart....
(Lacey rushes in and grabs K.C. by the throat. K.C. drops the mic.)
(Lacey) We still have a few things to work out!
(Camera fades back to Chris Cash at ringside.)
(Chris Cash) Remind me never to get on that woman's bad side. This is one of those matches I've just been waiting for. Kros versus Montez, next!
2007 PWR Eddie Guerrero Memorial Franchise Cup Tournament First Round Match - Classic Bracket
"The Ghost" Bryan Kros vs "The Machine" Anthony Montez
“Live for This” by Hatebreed comes over the PA, and out walks the black sheep of the Montez family, Anthony Montez. Montez has really distanced himself from the family in recent weeks, and the actions at The Border Battle may have just sent him over the edge. Montez said he was finished with them, in so many words, earlier tonight and now, he looks to stand on his own two feet, and try to make a run in this Franchise Cup. Montez enters the ring and takes to his corner as “Bite to Break Skin” by Senses Fail hits over the loudspeakers, and here comes “The Ghost” Bryan Kros! Kros coming off a heartbreaking loss at The Border Battle in that brutal Hell in a Cell match, in which he and his New Blood tag team partner, Shane Donovan lost their World Tag Team Titles. One would have to think they’d be getting a rematch for those belts very soon. Kros makes his way to the ring with his longtime girlfriend Lacey in tow, and he climbs into the ring. This is one of the matches I’ve been looking forward to personally; it should be a good one. The referee calls for the bell, and we’re underway. Kros and Montez circling the ring, feeling out process and they come together with a collar and elbow tie up in the middle of the ring. Montez gains the advantage as he transitions into a side headlock. Montez quickly spins it off and grabs a hammerlock on Kros. Just as quickly, Montez grabs a rear waistlock and lifts Kros off the ground and slams him down belly first to the mat. Montez spins around and grabs a front face lock, before backing off and paint brushing the back of Kros’ head! Montez showing off his skills early on in this contest. Kros gets back to his knees as Montez backs away, and he smirks at Kros and Kros smiles back. Kros back to his feet, Montez back in and they lock up once more. Kros with the side headlock this time, and he throws Montez over with a side headlock takeover. Kros transitions as Montez tries to roll over, and Kros gets Montez’s back. Kros with his own paint brushing this time! Montez back up and they exchange smirks once again! I think these two are just ready for some competition! Montez and Kros circling one another, and they lock up again. Kros this time counters with a knee to the midsection. Kros grabs the arm of Montez and Irish whips him into the ropes. Montez off the ropes, Kros connects with a boot to the midsection, and that doubles Montez over. Kros hooks a front face lock, jumps in the air and plants Montez with a spike DDT! Beautiful move! Kros turns Montez over, and he hooks the leg, 1 ……… 2 ……… kickout by Montez! Montez although he’s seeing stars right now I’m sure, Montez manages to kick out. Kros pulls Montez to his feet and backs him up against the ropes. Kros pulls back and lays a stinging knife-edge chop across the chest of Montez! The crowd lets out a trademark “Whoooo”, in homage to “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, as Kros rears back and lays another one on the already welted chest of “The Machine.” Kros grabs Montez by the arm and Irish whips him in, Montez off the ropes and he walks into a dropkick from Kros! Kros with the lateral press, 1 ……… 2 ……… kickout by Montez! Kros grabs Montez as he sits up and locks on a rear chin lock. Kros rears back on the head and neck of Montez, as he puts his knee in the middle of Montez’s shoulders for added pressure. Montez reaching out, scooting along the mat, trying to get to the ropes, he’s almost there, Kros lets go of the hold and puts a soccer kick in the middle of Montez’s back! That’ll leave a mark! The referee walks over to the ring announcer, Austin Hart and informs him of his decision.
(Austin Hart) Ladies and Gentlemen, the referee has just informed me that both men have failed to re-enter the ring after the count of 10, so this match is ruled a double countout!
Double Countout at 9:31
(Chris Cash) The fans are booing, and I can't say I blame them. This was a very anticipated match, and to have it end like this is very disappointing. We'll have to get an official ruling, on whether both men are out or if they'll have the opportunity to make it a triple threat in round two, and I'll try to get that info to you as soon as possible. Up next, it's back to the International Division bracket we go, as we have another huge 1st round match in that bracket. "Atlantic City" Enrique DeJesus taking on one half of the International Tag Team Champions, Bad News Bully. Let's hear from both men.
(Camera takes us backstage, where Stacy Warren is standing by with Enrique DeJesus.)
(Stacy Warren) Thanks Chris. EDJ, let's go back to The Border Battle for just a moment. Tough outcome, you guys were there in the end, but it just seemed to be Bully and Cook's night.
(Enrique DeJesus) No doubt. There's not much you can do when that happens, if it's someone's night, all the cards are in their favor, and your hands are pretty much tied. I think we gave a hell of an effort, but we came up just a little short. My partner and I hope to get a shot at those titles, sooner or later.
(Stacy Warren) I agree that you deserve a shot, but coming up here in mere moments, you get a shot at redemption, as you take on Bad News Bully in a Franchise Cup opening round contest. Thoughts?
(Enrique DeJesus) Well, it's going to be a tough match; Bully is what he says he is, he's a bully. Tonight, I am going to take the Bully down and in the end, when all the cards are on the table, I'll be raking in the victory.
(Stacy Warren) Thank you for your time EDJ, now over to Dan Dexter who is standing by with Bad News Bully.
(Camera switches to Dan Dexter, who is standing by.)
(Dan Dexter) Thanks Stace. Bully, you just heard from EDJ, who says he'll be victorious tonight. What are your thoughts?
(Bad News Bully) Listen, if we all didn't think we would be victorious every night, none of us would be in this game right now. We all think we're the best. You know what says you're the best.
(Bully holds up his title.)
(Bad News Bully) One of these. This right here is the only thing that matters. You got this around your waist; it says you're the best. I am sure Enrique has plans on going all the way and winning this tournament, but the fact is, his run is over tonight. Bad News Bully will be the victor and to the victor, go the spoils.
(Bully holds his title high, as we fade back to ringside, and Chris Cash.)
(Chris Cash) These two men are two of the really established stars in the International Division, and this contest is a toss up if I've ever seen one. Looking forward to seeing this match. Let's get to the ring!
2007 PWR Eddie Guerrero Memorial Franchise Cup Tournament First Round Match - International Bracket
"Atlantic City" Enrique DeJesus vs Bad News Bully
"Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones begins to play over the announcement system in the arena. The curtains are pushed forward and out from the back walks "Atlantic City" Enrique DeJesus. He walks down the ramp and around the ring until he comes to the steel steps. Walking up the steps onto the apron, he ducks between the ropes entering the ring. He heads to the far off corner and turns facing the stage. EDJ's music fades as "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five begins to play over the announcement system. Now out from the back walks the Bad News Bully. He stands at the top of the stage looking down at the ring, then out to the crowd who is split on if they should cheer or boo him. He walks down the ramp and then slides into the ring. Getting up to his feet, he backs up into a corner, never taking his eyes off Enrique DeJesus. The bell sounds and this match is now started. Both men take a few steps out of the corner and begin to circle each other in the ring. They lunge forward at each other and lock up. Bad News Bully gains the advantage to open the match. He is able to back Enrique into a corner. The ref comes between them, breaking them apart. As Bully is being backed away, he reaches forward and slaps Enrique across the face. Enrique is angered and runs out of the corner at Bully. Bully pushes the ref out of the way, and then uses a drop toe hold to take down Enrique. To follow up the drop toe hold, Bully plants his elbow across the back of Enrique's head, and then applies a side headlock. Bully squeezes Enrique's head as hard as he can. The ref asks Enrique if he wants to submit. I know the ref is doing his job but come on no one is going to submit from a simple side headlock. Enrique finds some way to slightly overpower Bully and begin to push himself up to his feet. Bully still having the side headlock applied, applies as mush pressure as he can. Enrique then begins to throw elbows into the stomach of Bully. One, Two, Three elbows and that loosens Bully's grip. Bully fully releases the headlock, but he just lifts his elbow up and brings it down across the back of Enrique's head before he can move. Enrique falls to the mat, hitting hard. Bully then rolls him over onto his back and covers him, 1 ……… 2 ……… Enrique rolls to his side before the count of 3 to avoid being pinned. Bully stands to his feet and reaches down grabbing Enrique by the head. He slowly begins to lift him up. Enrique shows some life, sending shot after shot to Bully's stomach, much to his surprise. Enrique now in a standing position kicks Bully in the gut and then falls backwards into the ropes bouncing himself off. Coming at Bully he jumps in the arm stretching his arm out, wrapping it around the head of Bully and just takes him down hard. I don't know what we would call that but it seemed to be effective. Enrique slowly lifts himself back to his feet. He stumbles over to Bully who is getting up as well. He brings a closed fist down across Bully's head, then another and another. Bully seems to be dazed now. Enrique lifts him up and grabs his arm. He whips Bully into the corner. Enrique follows in, lowering his shoulder so it drives into the stomach of Bully. He pulls back a little, and then brings his shoulder into the stomach of Bully yet again. Enrique now backs out of the corner, letting Bully stumble out of the corner. He kicks him in the gut and hooks him by the head. Enrique lifts Bully into the air and drops him straight back down on his head with a brainbuster! Bully rolls onto his stomach, but Enrique grabs him and rolls him back onto his back and covers him hooking the leg, 1 ……… 2 ……… Kickout by Bully! Enrique was hoping to have him there, but Bully managed to kick out. Enrique now gets to his feet and reaches down grabbing Bully by his head. He stands Bully up and then delivers an uppercut causing Bully to stumble back. Enrique grabs him by his head and takes him to the corner. He slams Bully's head against the top turnbuckle. He then spins Bully around and leans him back in the corner. Enrique grabs his arm and whips him into the opposite corner. Bully hits the turnbuckle chest first and hard. He begins to fall back out of the corner, right into the arms of Enrique. Enrique hooks him, then lifts him up and over with The Fold! Enrique hits The Fold on Bully! Enrique quickly turns Bully onto his back and covers him, 1 ……… 2 ……… SHOULDER UP!! Enrique is stunned that Bully kicked out before the count of 3. Enrique gets right back up and backs a bit off. He yells at Bully to rise to his feet. Bully slowly begins to stand, when on his feet, Enrique grabs him from behind going for The Fold again but Bully blocks it. Instead Bully turns around and faces Enrique bringing his knee up into Enrique's gut. He then grabs Enrique's arm and whips him into the ropes. Enrique bounces off the ropes and comes back at Bully. Bully lifts his leg, kicking Enrique in the gut, followed by an uppercut. Bully then takes a step back, then he comes forward and clotheslines Enrique and manages to place his knee down behind Enrique so that Enrique head bounces off his knee! Ouch that must hurt! Bully has some of the crowd pumped and some booing him. He picks Enrique back up to his feet and connects with the Ghetto Gamma! He covers Enrique, 1 ……… 2 ……… 3!! Bad News Bully picks up the comeback win!
Winner by pinfall at 10:04 - Bad News Bully
(Chris Cash) What a contest! Bad News Bully comes out with the victory, and he'll move on to round two.
(Camera switches backstage, where Ryan Pierce is standing by with Dan Dexter.)
(Dan Dexter) I'm here with "The Trigger" Ryan Pierce. Tonight, you take on Nick Davis. Any thoughts?
(Ryan Pierce) Davis is a tough man, no doubt about it. However Dan, he is not me. I know that on my best day he could never beat me. He may be good but just not as good as me.
(Dan Dexter) You haven't been competing for a while. Do you think that will give an edge to Davis?
(Ryan Pierce) Are you deaf? I said he can't beat me. That's that. Interview done.
(Pierce walks away, leaving Dexter in a state of shock.)
