(Program opens up with a recap of the main attractions at last night's episode of Full Throttle. Shots of the 6 man tag are shown, followed by some photos of the PWR International Championship Tournament finals! The video ends, and shot switches to inside the Rexall Place and the lights come up in the arena and the theme song for Overload plays over the PA. The camera pans the arena, before settling onto the man at ringside, Devin St. Jons)
(Devin St. Jons) Good evening and welcome to PWR Overload! I'm Devin St. Jons and we are in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and are ready for some incredible PWR action! Matt Flash versus Kristian Jones, Ryan Pierce versus "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy and in the main event, an unprecedented interdivisional contest as Nick Davis and Anthony Montez takes on Bad News Bully and Paul Pain! Davis and Bully have a well storied history and those two are sure to overshadow the youth of Anthony and the experience of Paul! Right now, let's get down to the ring for our opening contest!
PWR Classic Division Singles Match
Chris Craven vs Amy Suicide
Our opening contest of the night features one of the new PWR superstars in Chris Craven against the lovely Amy Suicide. This match had all the makings of a classic and it did not disappoint. The match started off like any match would, with Craven making wise-cracks at Suicide's gender. Suicide used that to her advantage in the early goings of the match, scoring with several near falls. Craven comes to his senses and realizes that Suicide is no joke. Craven and Suicide exchanged many signature moves. Craven caught Suicide with a German Suplex for a near fall. Suicide caught Craven with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Suicide followed up later with her Suicidal Tendancy for a very close near fall but Craven's size took over when he connected with a belly-to-belly suplex, backbreaker and his patented Craven DDT for the 1-2-3!
Winner by pinfall at 7:19 - Chris Craven
(Devin St. Jons) A very big win for Chris Craven; there is no shame for Amy Suicide to lose this one. Craven is a tough competitor and will look to turn quite a few heads here in PWR. Right now, let's go backstage and get a couple or words from a few men who will showcase their talents here tonight!
(Shelton McPants) Thanks Devin, I'm here with "The Face" Nick Davis and…
(Nick Davis) My tag partner, Anthony Montez. Say hi Anthony.
(Anthony Montez) Um…hi?
(Shelton McPants) Tonight, you two have the pleasure of taking on Paul Pain and Bad News Bully. Anthony, let's start with you first. What do you think about your opponent's tonight?
(Anthony Montez) They suck! They are no where near the level of me.
(Shelton McPants) Or that of "The Face!" Nick, on to you! If you were to write an autobiography, chapters 5 through say 15 would be dedicated to the Bad News Bully!
(Nick Davis) What about my love life?
(Shelton McPants) It's in there. But, how does it feel to open up that scab tonight in a PWR ring?
(Nick Davis) Shelton, dawg, it's gonna feel damn good to get in that ring and lock up with Bully again! I mean, we tear down the house every single time we wrestle. Now, I know that Bully doesn't like me that much…but man…you don't have to like someone to whip some ass.
(Shelton McPants) So you fellas think you are gonna win?
(Anthony Montez) What kind of question is that? Yes we are going to win!
(Nick Davis) Shelton, what I think my buddy, Anthony is trying to say is that we will win tonight! Not because it's the cool thing to do, it's because that's….just…how…I…roll!
(Anthony Montez) You just had to say it!
(Nick and Anthony walk away.)
(Nick Davis) What you mean "had to?"
(Camera switches backstage to Kristian Jones.)
(Kristian Jones) I have been in PWR since these doors have opened and I have been overlooked and under respected since the get-go. No longer will that happen. Tonight, I make an example of Matt Flash and then…my sights get turned to the newly crowned PWR International Division champion!
PWR International Division Singles Match
Matt Flash vs Kristian Jones
This International Division match started out with a furious pace as Kristian Jones looked to use his size advantage over Matt Flash, but Matt Flash would not back down and the two men exchanged vicious chops and stiff punches. But Kristian Jones gained the early advantage after throwing Matt Flash to the outside of the ring, and followed by soaring over the top rope and nailing Matt with a clothesline which severely damaged the neck of Matt Flash. Jones went to pick up Matt to roll him into the ring, but Matt hit Jones with a stinging chop, and was able to whip Jones into the ring steps, after taking a second to clutch his injured neck, he then rolled him into the ring to go for the cover but only got 2. The action went back and forth, with Flash hitting a gutwrench suplex followed by a moonsault from the top rope that only got him 2. An aggravated Flash went to pick Jones up for the Brainbuster and connected for another 2. Flash then went up top for the Flash Flood but Jones got up to his feet, Flash seeing this decided to go for a cross body block but was met with a big boot to face which had a whiplash effect on Flash's neck which was injured earlier in the match. With Flash stunned, he went up top for a Shooting Star Press Leg Drop again focusing on the neck and got a 2 count. Later Jones was able to get Flash down and go back up top for the Crucifixion. Flash rolled out of the way with Jones hitting all canvas. Flash saw his chance and picked up a recovering Jones and executed his Death Valley Driver he calls the Flash in the Pain. Flash struggled to make it over for the cover as he was again clutching his injured neck, but he made it over for the pin attempt but Jones' long legs saved him as he was able to put his foot on the bottom rope to stop the sure 3 count. Flash argued with the ref while grabbing his neck and took a second to think about what he would have to do to put Jones away, before attempting another Flash in the Pain, but Jones slipped out and locked in the Blackout on the injured neck of Matt Flash! Flash fought the brutal submission for close to 30 seconds but Kristian Jones' near 330 pounds of pressure targeted on his damaged neck was too much and Matt Flash was forced to tap out. After the match as Kristian Jones walked up the ramp and Matt Flash was left in the ring holding his injured neck, both men received a well deserved standing ovation from the appreciative PWR crowd as both men left it all in the ring.
Winner by submission in 9:14 - Kristian Jones
(Camera switches from the ringside to backstage with Dan Dexter who is combing the halls of the Rexall Place and comes across Jericho Kane in a secluded corner. It looks as if Kane is praying.)
(Dan Dexter) Jericho Kane? Are you okay? Why are you on your knees?
(Jericho Kane) Dan, do you believe in God?
(Dan Dexter) Excuse me?
(Jericho Kane) You know the all mighty creator of heaven and earth.
(Dan Dexter) Why yes I do.
(Jericho Kane) Yeah me too.(Kane rubs his temples.) I had a really bad feeling about that last match I had for the Pure Title. So before the match I found me a church and went in there to pray. The Lord protected me then and he will tonight against.... Ahh hell whoever I am book against. You know the doctors say I shouldn't even be here tonight after that shot I took at Full Throttle. Some crap about a possible level one concussion. Damn where the hell are we even at tonight?
(Dan Dexter) Jericho, we are in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Are you sure you want to compete tonight? I mean you are making absolutely no sense here?
(Jericho Kane jumps to his feet and grabs Dexter by the throat and begins laughing.)
(Jericho Kane) Making no sense? It makes perfect sense to me!!!!!!!!! I can't see straight, I can't keep any solid foods down.... I have had trouble sleeping at night. One thing has kept me going. The drive to compete here in Pro Wrestling Rampage!!!!
(Kane lets go of Dexter.)
(Jericho Kane) You tell Duncan McCloud, he hasn't seen the last of the Thrillbilly Jericho Kane. You tell him that this country boy will survive because that's what I do best and he doesn't like it tell him to kiss my rebel ass!!
(Jericho Kane stumbles off down the hallway.)
PWR Classic Division Singles Match
Andrew Stratton vs "the Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane
"Flat on the Floor" by Nickleback plays over the announcement system and out walks Andrew Stratton from the back onto the top of the stage. He raises his arms in the air above his head. Then from behind he is clobbered in the back of the head by a forearm sends him stumbling forward and tripping over himself taking him down. Jericho Kane is the man that now stands at the top of the stage. He walks heavy down the ramp and reaches down to pick up Stratton. He lifts shim up to his feet and then grabs Stratton by his hair walking him down towards the ring. Jericho throws Stratton's head down onto the apron. Stratton's head bounces back up. Jericho then again slams Stratton's head against the apron. He then grabs Stratton by his hair and walks him over to the steel steps. Jericho throws Stratton head first into the steel steps. There's a sickening thud heard once skull meets steel. Stratton is cut wide open and blood doesn't trickle down his head it pours down. Jericho follows up by stomping on Stratton. He then lifts Stratton up and rolls him into the ring. Jericho slides in and the bell sounds to officially start the match. Jericho lifts Stratton up and sets his head between his legs. He then thrusts forward and nails Stratton with Southern Justice! Stratton lays on the mat knocked out! Jericho covers Stratton 1.......2.........3!!!!! As quickly as it started it ended as we have a clear winner here.
Winner by pinfall at 0:19 - "The Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane
(Devin St. Jons) Wow…what PWR action so far! Kane sure must have prayed for mercy because he just killed a man! Next up, we've got a match that was changed from Full Throttle this week, major International Division action as Enrique DeJesus takes on Jacques Couteau!
PWR International Division Singles Match
"Atlantic City" Enrique DeJesus vs Jacques Couteau
In a match that was originally planned for Full Throttle, Enrique DeJesus took on Jacques Couteau one-on-one. Corky Angle's flight was delayed so the show was postponed but has to go on now! This match was everything it should have been an more. A lot of sound mat work was done by both men as they both showcased tonight what exactly the International Division was all about. Early in the bout, EDJ focused on Couteau's neck, looking to set him up for The Fold. All throughout the match, EDJ used little attacks like forearms and headbutts directly on the sides of Couteau's neck. Being the fighter that he is, Couteau pressed on and in the later stages of the bout and came away with several near falls before finally connecting with a huge tornado DDT that would put any mere man down. EDJ got up, persevered and ended up making Couteau's night a painful one after a sickening Fold for the 1-2-3!
Winner by pinfall at 9:52 - Enrique DeJesus
(Devin St. Jons) What a big win for DeJesus! You've got to think that's going to help him in getting a shot at the new ID champion, MKY! Well, let's keep on going with PWR action as we bring you to our featured match of the night!
PWR International Division Singles Match
FEATURE MATCH OF THE NIGHT
Synyster vs "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy
The fans in the Rexall Place were expecting to see Ryan Pierce versus Duckie Maloy, but were pleasantly surprised as PWR's co-owner Synyster took the place of the AWOL Pierce! The bell sounded and the mach got underway in a hurry as Synyster charges forward at Maloy who has his back turned. Maloy just in time ducks off to the side causing Synyster to hit the turnbuckle chest first. Synyster stumbles back and Maloy walks up behind him and puts Synyster's arm around his head. He hooks his waist and lifts him up dropping back. Maloy lands on his back but Synyster is another story landing on his head. Maloy then pushes Synyster to the side and gets to his feet. Synyster rolls out of the ring not allowing Hollywood Duckie Maloy to amount anymore offense. He holds the backs of his head as he bends over on the outside. His head looks up into the ring. Maloy does not waste anytime and exits the ring and comes after Synyster. Synyster mumbles "oh shit" to himself and begins to walk around the ring. Hollywood giving chase. Now Synyster runs instead of walking. 2 laps around the ring before Synyster finally dives into the ring. Maloy dives in after him but Synyster jumps on him just pounding him with rights and lefts across the back of his head. Synyster rises to his feet dragging up Maloy too. He backs Maloy into the ropes and pushes him back and then whips him off. Maloy then bounces off the ropes and comes back towards Synyster who lifts up his boot trying to hit a big boot. Maloy baseball slides under Synyster to avoid the contact. Synyster falls forward with his foot and turns around. He is met by a right hand from Maloy, now a left hand, now another right. Synyster looks to be on the defensive but is able to reach out and grab Maloy by his hair and pull him in kneeing him in the gut to stop his offense. Maloy now doubled over. Synyster lifts his jaw up using his hand and then comes out with a straight up to Maloy's face knocking him down. Synyster then shakes his hand as if it hurt from the punch. Maloy slowly begins to lift himself up. Synyster reaches down and helps him the rest of the way up. Synyster then kicks Maloy in the gut and pulls Maloy in between his legs. He hooks Maloy's waist and lifts him up over his head. Maloy with rights to Synyster head. Maloy then leans back and is able to get out of the situation by taking Synyster over with a Hurricanrana!!! That was an excellent count by Maloy. Both men down. Maloy crawls over and tries to cover Synyster, 1……2……A kickout by Synyster. It was just a bit too early in his match for Maloy to win. Maloy rolls off of Synyster and lifts himself up to his feet. He stumbles back a bit and shakes his head to focus. He looks at Synyster who is starting to get to his feet. As Synyster lifts himself from his knees up Maloy runs into the ropes, comes off and tries a high knee to Synyster who blocks the move by being able to get his arm up around Maloy's leg. He then bends it back which stop the momentum. Synyster keeps hold of the leg as he gets to his feet which causes Maloy to fall down onto his back. Synyster uses his power then to lift up Maloy and just drop him down! Who knows what we will be calling that move but it was effective by Synyster! Synyster takes a deep breathe and stares down at Maloy. A smirk comes across his face. He reaches down and signals to the crowd that this is the end. As he begins to lift up Maloy he is hit with a sudden pain as Maloy arm went straight up connecting with...well lets just say it connected to a place which will hurt Synyster for a very long time. Synyster doubles over in pain and Maloy jumps up and hooks Synyster's head bringing him down with a DDT!!! Synyster's head bounces off the mat. Maloy hits the mat laying back first breathing heavy. Synyster rolls around holding his neck because it seems that every move Maloy has done has focused on his neck. Maloy rolls over onto his stomach and lifts himself up. He looks down at Synyster and stumbles over to him. He reaches down and grabs his head lifting a little. Maloy hooks his head and jerks it back with the Dragon Sleeper!!!! Maloy trying to knock out Synyster! Synyster reaches out only grabbing at air. His arms begin to fade. Maloy thinks he has the match and tells the ref to check. The ref raises Synyster's hand once and it drops down! The ref raises it a second time and it drops!! He then goes to raise it a third time but Synyster swats his arm up nailing Maloy in the head. Maloy grip loosens a little. Synyster hits him again and again and again until Maloy's grip finally loosens up enough for him to get out of the dragon sleeper. Synyster then stumbles forward and turns around. Maloy reaches out for him but Synyster smacks his arms away, kicks him in the gut, hooks his head, places Maloy's arm over his own head. He lifts Maloy up and drops back with a suplex! Synyster then is able to get up to his feet. He looks at the crowd and again signals that this match is over. He heads over to the corner. He jumps up to the top rope and catches his balance. He then comes off dropping a knee across the throat of Maloy which is the move known as The Silent Treatment! Synyster then covers Maloy and hooks the leg, 1……2……KICKOUT! Maloy is able to throw up a shoulder at the last second! The ref announces 2 and Synyster's eyes widen as he looks at the ref. He gets up and looks at the ref coming face to face with him beginning to argue about the count. The ref just keeps saying it was a 2 count! Synyster turns around and looks down at Maloy. He thinks about what he could do next. A few breathes later he decides to head to the corner. He jumps to the top rope again. Synyster then jumps off attempting The Silent Treatment again but all that happens is he crashes and burns as Maloy dodges the attack! Synyster rolls around on the mat and holds his knee. Maloy pushes himself to his feet and looks at Synyster liking that he sees. He pulls Synyster to the center of the ring and rolls him up, 1……2……3! Maloy wins!
Winner by pinfall at 12:19 - "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy
(Devin St. Jons) Wow! Maloy pulls off the huge upset against Synyster! That right there could be some fuel that the Circle of the Black Thorn can use against Synyster! Anyway, with all our action this week, we have one more match this week! It's a mixed division attraction! Davis and Montez versus Bully and Pain! Get into it!
:::::MAIN EVENT:::::
PWR Mixed Division Match
"The Face" Nick Davis (ID) & Anthony Montez (Classic) vs Bad News Bully (ID) & Paul Pain (Classic)
The match started off with a stalemate between Nick Davis and the Bad News Bully. Nick Davis eventually got the advantage after a leg lariat when Bully was running the ropes. After while later, Davis dragged Bully over to his corner, tagged his partner Anthony Montez, and planted Bully with a back suplex setting his partner up to hit a shooting star press for a 2 count. Anthony had this going his way until Bully countered Anthony's Tilt-a-whirl flying headscissors, planting "the Future" face first on the mat. The Bully stomped away on Montez, before tagging off to Paul Pain. Pain went for a powerbomb on Montez which Montez slid out of and hit Pain with several middle kicks to the side and legs, which took alot out of Pain. With Pain bent over, Montez went for a springboard asai moonsault which got him a 2 count. Montez followed up with an onslaught that included a running shooting star press, but was not enough to put Pain away. Anthony tagged The Face back in and The Face didn't let up. At one point he went up to the second rope to hit a groggy Pain with a double axe handle, but Pain caught him and planted Davis with a big time Spinebuster. Now in control, Pain continued to work away at The Face throught the match, and almost ended the match when he squashed Davis with a standing splash. Pain tagged a well rested Bully back into the match, and the Bully pounded away at the Face but couldn't put Davis down after a clothesline/neckbreaker on the knee combo. Since that didn't work, Bully applied a sleeper hold on the Face, but Davis wouldn't go out. Davis was able to hit the Bully in the gut with 3 elbows and break free of the hold. Davis ran the ropes but was caught, was picked up and stungunned on the top rope. Bully went for the cover but Montez came in to break the count up. Bully went upstairs for a elbow drop but Davis moved out of the way and was able to tag a ready Montez. Montez came in unstoppable, giving out clotheslines to both Bully and Pain. Having the momentum, Montez went to seal the match for his team, Montez was setting up for the Gateway to the Future. As Pain was coming to his senses Montez was ready to unload but saw the Bully on the apron close by, Montez turned his attention to the Bully, but the Face made a blind tag which the ref saw. With Montez knocking the Bully off the apron, The Face nailed the Buzzerbeater on Pain to pick up the win!
Winner by pinfall at 14:31 - "The Face" Nick Davis and Anthony Montez
(Devin St. Jons) Tonight has been a big night here in Edmonton! Plenty of action! Plenty of surprises! Surely, this show has become exactly what it is labeled; an overload of action! For everyone here, I am Devin St. Jons! So long from the Rexall Place!
