We've got a full slate of action folks, so let's not waste another second and get to the ring!
PWR International Division Match
Kristian Jones vs "The Rage" Christopher Paige
Our opening contest on Overload tonight features the big up and comer, Kristian Jones and MKY's "Big Bull", Christopher Paige. Paige did his best in the opening minutes to try and ground the aerial game of Jones, hitting the Rage Breaker at the two and a half minute mark. Paige pulled Jones to his feet and was attempting to hit the Paige Turner, but Jones rolled off the back and connected with a brutal big boot off the ropes. Jones used that crucial turn of momentum to get total control over Paige. Jones hit a powerbomb on Paige, then quickly made his way to the top rope. The finish saw Jones hit his devastating Crucifixion finisher, the corkscrew shooting star press, which drew the crowd from their seats. Jones hooked the leg and got the duke at just under the five minute mark.
Winner by pinfall at 4:55 - Kristian Jones
(Devin St. Jons) That Crucifixion finisher is amazing! Jones is 6'8" and 320 pounds and he brings it all down on you with that corkscrew shooting star. Impressive win for Kristian Jones. Right now, I understand we have Lizzie McFadden standing by with the Delaware Beach Boy, lets head to the back. Lizzie?
(Camera switches to the back, where Lizzie McFadden is standing beside Delaware Beach Boy)
(Lizzie McFadden) Thanks Devin. I am joined right now by the Delaware Beach Boy, who'll be facing off with Amy Suicide in a few moments. Beach Boy, this is your first match in PWR outside of the International Division. The competition in the ID was really tough, do you think you'll have a better run of luck here in the regular division?
(Delaware Beach Boy) The competition is tough all over here in PWR, and I haven't had things swing my way as of yet. Tonight, I feel that's all going to change. I need to get myself on track here tonight and try to work my way into title contention. It's going to be a long road, I'm well aware of that. But tonight, the walk down that road begins.
(Lizzie McFadden) Thanks for your time Beach Boy, back to you Devin.
(Scene transitions back to ringside and Devin St. Jons.)
(Devin St. Jons) The man from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware looks very determined, let's head to the ring and see if DBB can get it done against the always tough Amy Suicide!
Singles Match
Delaware Beach Boy vs Amy Suicide
DBB hit the ring like a house of fire, but that fire was quickly put out by the lady from Sacramento, as she used her dangerous combo of strength and speed to keep DBB off balance early on in the match. Suicide went on the offense, putting DBB down with a front slam, before quickly hopping on the top rope and connecting with a picture perfect split legged moonsault for a two count at the three minute mark. Suicide quickly stepped her game up, and had DBB primed for her devastating flip piledriver finisher, the Self-Execution at the four and a half minute mark, but DBB countered with a backdrop to get out of the move. DBB pulled Suicide to her feet and went to work with a calculated attack on her legs, to slow down the speed aspect of Suicide's game, using Suicide's own Indian Deathlock against her! DBB took Suicide up at about the six and a half minute mark with the half nelson choke suplex, which send Suicide crashing down onto the back of her head. Suicide was very groggy at which point, DBB called out for his finisher, and he drove Suicide's head into the mat with his Spicolli Driver finisher, for the three count.
Winner by pinfall at 7:10 - Delaware Beach Boy
(Devin St. Jons) DBB started off slow, but once he was able to counter that Self-Execution attempt by Amy Suicide, the tide turned and DBB was in total control until he put Suicide away with the Spicolli Driver. Big win for the Delaware Beach Boy. Moving right along here tonight, 2 more ID competitors making his debut in PWR's classic division, Andrew Stratton and Matt Flash will tangle it up, right now! Back to the ring!
Singles Match
Andrew Stratton vs Matt Flash
Both men took the ring and the bell rang, and Stratton gained a quick advantage after a rake of the eyes during a lock up attempt. Both men in this match were considered high flyers, but it started out in a quick, mat based attack for Stratton. Stratton worked an arm for the opening moments with an arm bar, before Flash worked himself to his feet and caught Stratton with a clothesline off the ropes after breaking the hold. Matt Flash connected with his sitout double underhook suplex for a two count at the two-minute mark. Flash continued the offense, and hit his brutal inverted Falcon Arrow move, for a two count, before heading onto the ropes. Flash leapt off with a splash attempt, but Stratton rolled out of the way! Stratton quickly went to the ropes and headed up top and connected with a double foot stomp to the gut of Flash, driving the air right out of him! Flash rolled to the ropes, in obvious pain. Stratton pulled Flash to his feet and moved him to the center of the ring, took him down with a leg sweep and locked in his Anaconda Vice submission, and quickly got the tap out.
Winner by pinfall at 6:26 - Andrew Stratton
(Devin St. Jons) Matt Flash may have some internal injuries from that splash miss from the top, he was never able to recover from that, and Stratton ends up making quick work of Matt Flash. As Matt Flash gets some medical attention, let's take a quick commercial break. We'll be back with ID action, Bad News Bully and Duckie Maloy! Next!
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Camera switches backstage and shows BNB alone in his locker room.)
(Bad News Bully) I signed up for this International Division in the expectation that I was going to be the man at the end, holding the title belt. That isn't going to happen now since some little punk by the name of Flash beat me, and took my opportunity from me. My shot at glory, destroyed! Starting tonight however, I have a new goal. To beat the ever-loving hell out of everyone it takes to get me back to where I need to be, and that's the number one contender to the International Title. Tonight, that goal starts with beating the crap out of the lovable Duckie Maloy. Tonight, the road to the title for the Bully begins again, and this time, there isn't a man who can stop me.
(Camera switches to ringside with Devin St. Jons.)
(Devin St. Jons) I feel sorry for Duckie Maloy here tonight, because he's going to be going against one pissed off bully. Bully/Maloy, next!
PWR International Division Match
Bad News Bully vs "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy
I'm sure this comeback into the game hasn't gone as well for Bad News Bully as he would have hoped, and it didn't really get any better tonight. The Bully took an early advantage in the match, when he went for a knee to the midsection after faking a lock up. Bully tried to keep Maloy grounded as long as he could, as he was giving up a foot in size to Duckie. Bully lifted Maloy up and dropped him over the ropes with the Stungun at the three-minute mark, and made the cover for a two count. Maloy was reeling, until he threw Bully over his back while Bully was attempting his Ganso Bomb. Maloy took over the match, and just used power move after power move to wear down Bully. Maloy dropped Bully with a big time Tazzplex at the six-minute mark, and instead of going for the fall, he pulled Bully back to his feet and started to walk him toward the corner. It was obvious Maloy wasn't going to be content with just beating Bully; he wanted to make a point. Maloy perched himself on the ropes, and looked to hit his Pepsi Plunge finisher. Bully countered and connected with a superplex, and that left both men down. Both men recovered and Bully had Maloy reeling, he attempted to go for the Ghetto Gamma, and Maloy got his big frame out of the way and pinned Bully with the rollup at just under nine minutes.
Winner by pinfall at 8:48 - "Hollywood" Duckie Maloy
(Devin St. Jons) Out of nowhere, Duckie Maloy gets the victory over Bad News Bully! That's not going to make the Bully any happier! Let's head to the back, where Dan Dexter is standing by.
(Camera shows Dan Dexter in front of the PWR Overload banner.)
(Dan Dexter) Thanks Devin. Joining me now is Zanyon.
(Zanyon steps into frame.)
(Dan Dexter) Zanyon, first off how are you feeling after that astounding Ladder Match, not to mention the fall you took at Evil Endgame?
(Zanyon) Well, I'm sore, which is to be expected. It was one hell of a match, and one hell of a fall, and I wish I had come out of there with the title, but it wasn't meant to be this time around. Maybe I'll get another shot in the future.
(Dan Dexter) Tonight, you try and get back on track against The Executioner.
(Zanyon) It's a good challenge for me, Executioner is a tough cat. It'll be a good match, but as always, The King of Wrestling is going to come out the victor!
(Dan Dexter) Good luck tonight Zanyon.
(Zanyon) Thanks.
(Scene fades back to Devin at the broadcast table.)
(Devin St. Jons) After the setback at Evil Endgame, it looks like Zanyon is ready to go here tonight against Executioner. Let's get to the action!
Singles Match
Zanyon vs The Executioner
This was one of those classic big man versus little man matchups, but rarely does the little man have the experience and savvy of Zanyon. Zanyon started off using a dazzling display of his technical prowess, using his wide-ranging offense to keep Executioner on his toes. Zanyon connected with a dropkick to the top of the foot to drop Executioner to his feet. Zanyon locked Executioner in Camel Clutch at the five-minute mark. Executioner didn't give it up, and he powered his way out of the hold after withstanding it for over a minute. Executioner threw Zanyon over his back and to the mat to get on the offense for the first time in the match. Executioner pulled Zanyon to his feet and connected with the Cut Throat and made the cover for the two count. Executioner continued on the offense in the following minutes, getting several near falls. Executioner pulled Zanyon up and was going for The Judgment, when Zanyon floated out and connected with a reverse DDT to swing momentum in his favor. Zanyon pulled Executioner to his feet and connected with the Warrior's Code for a two count. Zanyon went for the 721, but Executioner slid off the back of Zanyon, and goozled him for The Rise and Fall of Society, but Zanyon caught Executioner with a rake of the eyes and picked him up again and dropped him with the 721 for the 1-2-3!
Winner by pinfall at 9:57 - Zanyon
(Devin St. Jons) A tough, gutsy performance by Zanyon here tonight on Overload, as he gets a the duke over The Executioner. Zanyon taking that first step back up the ladder on the way to another World Title opportunity. Speaking of another World Title opportunity, up next is a big time triple threat match between Paul Pain, Anthony Montez and former PWR World Champion, Primetime Punisher. Let's head to the back, where we have Lizzie McFadden standing by with the former champ.
(Camera switches backstage to Lizzie & PTP.)
(Lizzie McFadden) Thanks again Devin. Joining me at this time is the former PWR World Champion, Primetime Punisher. PTP, we saw Dan ask Zanyon this question, so I'll ask you the same. How are you feeling tonight after that Ladder Match at Evil Endgame?
(Primetime Punisher) I'm sure he's a little worse for wear than I am, I mean he took that nasty bump off the ladder and through the tables, it just goes to show the type of guy Zanyon is. Not alot of people get up from that. I'm battered, a little bruised, but I'm ready to go here tonight.
(Lizzie McFadden) We just saw Zanyon take the first step back on the road to another title shot. Can you do the same here tonight?
(Primetime Punisher) I can and I will. I'm up against two gamers here tonight, in Paul Pain and Anthony Montez, who can turn it on at any time. I feel it's my night tonight, and I'll be able to get the victory.
(Lizzie McFadden) Thanks for the time PTP. Back to you Devin.
(Camera switches to ringside and Devin St. Jons.)
(Devin St. Jons) PTP looks ready to go, let's get to this big time matchup!
Triple Threat Match
Primetime Punisher vs Paul Pain vs "The Future" Anthony Montez
A lot on the line in this match, as all three men took to the ring and the match got underway. Pain used his weight advantage to control Montez in the opening moments, as PTP just laid back for the opening moments. Pain connected with a back elbow to Montez as he came off the ropes, taking him to the mat. Pain went for the standing splash, going for the win early, but PTP came over to break the count. Montez made it to his feet and got tossed to the outside for his trouble. PTP went to work on Pain and got him with the big spear at the four-minute mark. PTP attempted to lock on the Primetime Crusher, but Montez came into the ring and broke it up. Montez kicked PTP out of the ring and went to work on Pain. Montez used continuous speed moves, quick elbows and kicks, to wear down Pain. Pain connected with a knee to cut that off at the nine-minute mark, and goozled Montez for the Pain Killer. PTP came back into the ring to stop the move and he knocked Pain out of the ring. Montez stopped PTP's momentum momentarily with a rake of the eyes, before heading to the top rope. Montez leaped off, looking for the dragonrana, but PTP held on when Montez leaped onto his shoulders! PTP took Montez up and drove him to the mat with the Primetime Execution! Pain came onto the apron and he caught a big boot for the trouble. PTP hooked the leg and got the three count at just over twelve minutes.
Winner by pinfall at 12:24 - Primetime Punisher
(Devin St. Jons) A nice bounceback from PTP as well, as he gets the big win over two outstanding competitors in Pain and Montez. Can PTP get back to the promised land? Only time will tell. Coming up next, we've got two big consolation bracket matches in the International Division tournament. First up will be Corporate Crusher and Jacques Couteau, after the break!
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Camera opens up as Dan Dexter is standing by with Jacques Couteau.)
(Dan Dexter) I am standing here with Jacques Couteau, who's got a big match up next against Corporate Crusher. One man will advance to next week, to face the winner of Terrell Yelder & Synyster and the winner of that match will go on later in the evening to compete for the PWR International Championship. Jacques, tough draw in getting Corporate Crusher.
(Jacques Couteau) Tough? Ha! It's not that big of a deal. I will prove tonight that I will be the new PWR International Champion!
(Dan Dexter) Pardon me for saying so Mr. Couteau, but it seems as if you're just shrugging this match off, like it's a foregone conclusion that you'll be facing either Synyster or Terrell Yelder next week.
(Jacques Couteau) It is little man, done deal! I will be the first International Champion! Hell, people have been calling me Mr. International already, might as well make it official. Crusher, I'm comin for ya!
(Jacques leaves the frame as camera switches to Lizzie McFadden who's standing by with Corporate Crusher.)
(Lizzie McFadden) Joining me now is the other half of our first ID consolation bracket semifinal, Corporate Crusher. Crusher, I must say, when this whole thing started, I considered you an odds on favorite to be the first ID champion.
(Corporate Crusher) As I should be and still am. I will be wrestling for that title come next week. It's what I was brought here to do, to be the man in this division. I am still in the mix.
(Lizzie McFadden) But it's a tough road. Couteau tonight, either Synyster or Terrell Yelder next week, and then MKY and Flash in the finals? I would say the odds are against you.
(Corporate Crusher) Since when has anyone gave a damn about what you thought? All that matters is this little lady. Come next week on Full Throttle, Corporate Crusher will be in that final match and he will be walking out with the International Title. Now if you'll excuse me, the stock of Jacques Couteau is about to crash.
(Camera switches back to ringside.)
(Devin St. Jons) Both of these men seem like they might be overly confident here, one of em has to win, who's it going to be? Let's get to the ring!
PWR International Championship Tournament Consolation Bracket Semifinal
Corporate Crusher vs Jacques Couteau
This was a hotly contested bout between two men on the top of their game, all for the right to go onto the finals of the consolation bracket. Crusher entered the ring and he was met immediately by a clubbing forearm to the back by Couteau, and we were jump-started! Couteau hung Crusher on the ropes and hit a jawbreaker, stunning the Crusher. Couteau controlled the match for much of the opening five minutes, before Crusher was able to counter the tornado DDT, by pushing Couteau off and connecting with a strong clothesline, taking Couteau to the mat. Crusher utilized his old school style, and began to work on the neck of Couteau. As the nine-minute mark passed, Crusher dropped Couteau with a brutal piledriver, and made the cover for just a two count. Couteau got his bearings back after drawing Crusher, as well as the referee in and connecting with a low blow, out of the sight of the referee. Couteau rolled Crusher to the ropes and bounces off the opposite side and connected with a baseball slide dropkick, knocking Corporate Crusher out of the ring! Couteau went to the outside and grabbed Crusher to throw him back in, and it looked like Crusher was done for. Couteau hooked Crusher in the tree of woe, and it looked like he was going for the Shoulder Blade! Couteau charged in, but Crusher lifted up and Couteau drove his shoulder right into the post! Crusher rolled back out of the corner, and quickly locked in the Dragon Sleeper, and forced the tap out after Couteau passed out.
Winner by pinfall at 14:31 - Corporate Crusher
(Devin St. Jons) Crusher advances to take on the winner of our main event tonight, for the right to fight for the International Title! It's fixing to get real interesting around here! It's time for our final commercial break of the night, we'll be right back with our main event!! Stay tuned!
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Camera picks up backstage, where Dan Dexter is standing.)
(Dan Dexter) Ladies and gentlemen, Terrell Yelder.
(Terrell steps into frame, much to the chagrin of the people in the arena, as the boos are heard over the camera.)
(Terrell Yelder) The people love me, can't ya tell?
(Dan Dexter) Indeed. Tonight Terrell, you will take on a man you know all too well. This feud between you and Synyster is the stuff of legend. You have dominated much of the feud, but the last time you faced off one on one, Synyster picked up the win.
(Terrell Yelder) Fluke win. Get it right. It was a Casket Match, and he never pinned my shoulders to the mat.
(Dan Dexter) But within the rules of the match, he won. Tonight, it's for the opportunity to go onto the finals of the consolation bracket to get into the PWR ID Championship match. Can you beat Synyster here tonight?
(Terrell Yelder) What are you slow? Of course I can beat Synyster and I will do it again here tonight. End of interview.
(Terrell leaves the frame and as Dan Dexter looks puzzled, camera switches to Lizzie McFadden, who is standing by with Synyster.)
(Lizzie McFadden) Synyster, we just heard from Terrell and he seems rather confident that he'll come out victorious here tonight. What's your opinion on tonight?
(Synyster) The Synyster/Terrell Yelder feud is a special one in the history of wrestling. Even though I haven't been on the winner's side of things all that many times throughout the course of the feud, I think I've made my mark on Terrell in the process. As far as tonight goes, we add a whole new chapter to the book. Now Terrell has aligned himself with this Circle of the Black Thorn, with people who I once thought were my friends, in the Montezes. They've turned their back against me, and I will probably have a hard time with things if it comes down to fighting them. Terrell is the exception.
(Lizzie McFadden) I got the feeling this isn't going to be a wrestling match, it's going to be a straight up fight.
(Synyster) You got that right Lizzie. Stick around people, it's fixing to get real interesting.
(Synyster leaves the frame, and the camera comes back to ringside.)
(Devin St. Jons) Well folks, the history behind this feud is well documented, and tonight, we write another chapter in the books. It's our main event, let's get to the action!
:::::MAIN EVENT:::::
PWR International Championship Tournament Consolation Bracket Semifinal
"The Saviour" Terrell Yelder vs Synyster
The next chapter of the Terrell Yelder and Synyster feud did not disappoint the fans in Kelowna. Synyster entered the ring first and Terrell second, and Synyster jumped Terrell as soon as he entered the ring and the match got jumpstarted! Synyster beat down Terrell for the opening moments of the match, and the referee pretty much just stepped back and decided to let things go. Synyster pulled Terrell up and whipped him into the ropes and hit a big boot, putting Terrell back down. Synyster covered for a two count. Terrell weathered the storm and managed to go on the offensive after countering Synyster's Greed move, with a knee to the midsection. Terrell hit a big time spinebuster at the five-minute mark. Terrell turned the tables on Synyster and started throwing piston like right hands, and connecting with some brutal kicks to the head of the PWR DOA. Terrell locked in the sharpshooter and Synyster was on the verge of giving it up, but he fought his way to the ropes and managed to force a break. Terrell backed away, and it looked like he was ready to go for the Temple Kick. Terrell waited for Synyster to turn around, and he went for it, but Synyster ducked and spun Terrell around and connected with the Pride one arm chokeslam. Synyster and Terrell both laid prone on the mat at the ten-minute mark, and both men made it to their feet at the same time. Terrell and Synyster traded right hands, and Synyster started to get the advantage, but Terrell cut him off with a rake of the eyes. Terrell kicked Synyster in the midsection, and went for the Razor's Edge, but as Synyster went up, his foot caught the referee in the face, and knocked him out! Terrell hit the Razor's Edge, but the referee wasn't able to make the count. Terrell pulled Synyster back up and took him toward the corner. It looked like Terrell was going for his Sacrilege move, but Synyster fought his way out. Synyster backed Terrell to the middle of the ring to the ropes, and Irish whipped him in. Terrell reversed it, and sent Syn into the ropes. Terrell went for a backdrop, but Synyster rolled over the back and hooked Terrell for his finisher, The Second Coming! PWR World Champion MJM walked down the aisle, with a pair of brass knuckles in her hands. Synyster picked Terrell up, but he flipped out the back, and pushed Synyster into the ropes, and just then, MJM jumped to the apron and connected with a shot with the brass knuckles! Synyster fell backward, and as soon as he hit the mat, you could see the blood streaming from his forehead. MJM went over to wake the referee, while Terrell pulled Synyster to his feet and headed toward the corner. Terrell lifted Synyster up and placed his legs on the ropes. Terrell dropped down and hit his finisher, Sacrilege and rolled Synyster over and got the duke at just shy of sixteen minutes.
Winner by pinfall at 15:45 - "The Saviour" Terrell Yelder
(Devin St. Jons) Well, The Circle of the Black Thorn has certainly made an impact here tonight on Overload, they just cost Synyster a possible shot at the ID title! Synyster has been left in a heap! Fans, we're out of time! We'll try and give you an update on the Rundown this week! Goodnight from Kelowna!
(Camera fades out as Circle of the Black Thorn members MJM and Terrell Yelder stand over the fallen Synyster.)
