:::BACK TO BACKSTAGE:::
(Devin St. Jons) Good evening wrestling fans and welcome to the 2nd ever edition of PWR Overload! I am Devin St. Jons and we are coming to you live from the Qwest Arena here in Boise Idaho, and we have a great night of action for you, including a double main event! We'll see the former World Heavyweight Champion Zanyon taking on a man he has faced in the past and has had his troubles with, in Paul Pain. In our International Division Match of the night, the PWR Director of Authority, Synyster will take to the ring to try and settle a score with his old friend, Shane Montez. It looked like Shane was trying to buy his way out of this match; we'll have to see which way Synyster goes tonight. We were set to bring you a rematch from last week, as Amy Suicide was going to take on "The Thrillbilly" Jericho Kane, but it is my sad duty to report that due to a family matter, Jericho Kane was unable to make the trip to Boise here tonight. That being said, our card is going to be shaken up a little bit here tonight, but it's still going to be a great night of action, so lets not waste another moment, let's take you to the ring for our opening contest of the evening here on Overload!
Triple Threat Match
Rock Roberts vs. Tupac Shakur vs. Amy Suicide
Our impromptu opening match of the evening was a one sided affair, as Amy Suicide dominated the opposition. Undoubtedly, Amy was prepared to face a very tough Jericho Kane and it showed tonight, as Suicide was the best we've seen her here in PWR. Suicide used her speed to take down and stay on top of Rock Roberts, hitting him with the Final Release at the four minute mark. Suicide looked poised to get the victory, but Tupac broke it up. Tupac momentarily went on the offense, hitting Suicide with a barrage of his best moves, but it wasn't enough to keep Ms. Suicide down. Amy eventually wore down Tupac, and locked in her submission finisher, The Fatal Error and had Tupac on the verge of a tap out, when Roberts returned Tupac's favor, breaking the hold and extending the match. Suicide countered an Irish whip in, sending Roberts into Tupac, who backdropped him over the top rope, and walked right into Amy Suicide's Self Execution, the sick flip piledriver! Suicide hooked the leg and got the three count over Tupac.
Winner by pinfall at 6:48 - Amy Suicide
(Devin St. Jons) Amy Suicide showing why she's one of the best female wrestlers in the business, maybe even one of the best wrestlers period here in PWR, getting a big win there and getting Overload off to a rousing start. Let's take you backstage, where we have Dan Dexter standing by with Xavier Black, who's getting ready for his match against Mark Jacobs. Dan?
(Camera flips backstage where Dan Dexter is standing in front of a huge Overload banner. He is joined by "The Mack" Xavier Black)
(Dan Dexter) Thanks Devin. Xavier, you're set to take on the man who was slated to be your tag team partner here tonight, "Mean" Mark Jacobs. How does this change your approach to your game plan here tonight?
(Xavier Black) It doesn't change things much at all. It's all about competition for me Dan. I came here to PWR to try and prove myself against some of the biggest stars in this business, and tonight it is just that. Business. It's all about taking one more step up that ladder.
(Dan Dexter) Speaking of that ladder, there's rumors going around the PWR locker room that management is considering introducing a new championship to the fray around here.
(Xavier Black) That would be great, just one more opportunity for some of the guys around here. I would definitely like to see that.
(Dan Dexter) Thank you for joining me, and good luck to you tonight.
(Xavier Black) Thanks Dan.
(Dan Dexter) Back to you Devin.
(Xavier Black leaves the frame as the camera switches back to Devin at the announce table)
(Devin St. Jons) Thanks Dan. Xavier Black is one of the many young stars to keep your eyes on here in PWR in 2007 and beyond. Right now, let's head to the ring for our next contest of the evening.
Singles Match
"The Mack" Xavier Black vs. "Mean" Mark Jacobs
This match started off rather quickly and both men settled into a very brisk pace, with a lot of chain wrestling, trading holds in the catch as catch can style. Black used his superior mix of speed and agility to stay on top of Jacobs, but eventually Jacobs regained the upper hand using his dominant power to take down Black. Jacobs hit a devastating chokeslam on Black at the five-minute mark of the match, but Black managed to kick out. Jacobs pulled Black to his feet and whipped him into the ropes; Black ducked the big boot of Jacobs, bounced off the ropes and hit a big clothesline to turn the tide. Black went back on the offensive using a series of quick strikes to send Jacobs reeling. Black hit his patented triple jump enziguri, which sent Jacobs tumbling out of the ring. Black scaled the top rope and hit a flying cross body on Jacobs at the eight-minute mark to take total control of the match. Black raced back into the ring and broke the referee's count before pulling Jacobs back up and into the ring. Black pulled Jacobs back to his feet and hooked him for the Twist of Hate, but Jacobs using his last bit of energy reversed the hold and hit his release German suplex! Jacobs decided to go for it all, as he headed toward the top rope, looking for his top rope leg drop. Jacobs took to the air and came up empty, and Black was quick to counter, as he hit his swinging neckbreaker and transitioned into the Anaconda Vice. Jacobs tried holding out, but eventually was forced to tap out to Black.
Winner by submission at 10:55 - "The Mack" Xavier Black
(Devin St. Jons) That's the kind of action to expect here in PWR fans! Solid, technical wrestling, and Xavier Black comes out victorious. He continues to climb the ranks here in PWR. Fans, let's take you backstage to the Whoresmen locker room, I understand Synyster is about to head in there. I guess we'll get that decision on tonight's match, one way or the other.
(Mavick and Shane Montez are sitting in their locker room watching
Superman Returns. The door opens and Synyster walks in)
(Shane Montez) Syn my main man. Are you ready for tonight?
(Synyster) Yeah, I'm ready. I hope you are too.
(Shane Montez) Of course I am.
(Synyster) The thing is Shane. I can't accept this.
(Synyster hands Shane an envelope)
(Shane Montez) Don't do this Syn.
(Mavick) I thought we were all cool here Syn. Don't make this mistake.
(Synyster) You don't make that mistake again. I don't take to kindly to threats.
(Shane Montez) Hold up guys. It's all good. This isn't a problem.
(Synyster) Good.
(Shane Montez) We're still cool right bro?
(Synyster) Of course we are Shane-O.
(Shane Montez) Great. Let's hug it out.
(Shane stands up and manly hugs Synyster)
(Shane Montez) Great. See you in the ring buddy.
(Synyster leaves the room)
(Mavick) What the hell was that? You know this shit ain't cool.
(Shane Montez) Of course it's not. But neither is stealing a cell phone.
(Shane Montez holds up Synyster's cell phone)
(Mavick) Haha, nice one.
(Shane Montez) What do you say we take the PWR private jet after the show?
(Mavick) I say hells yeah.
(Shane starts going through the phone book in Synyster's cell phone. He finds the number he is looking for and dials)
(Shane Montez) *Doing his best Synyster imitation* Yes, this is Synyster. I have decided to let my good friends Shane Montez and
Mavick use the jet tonight. Yes, I wont be there. So whenever they are
ready go ahead and take off. Great, See you next week. Bye.
(Shane hangs up the phone)
(Mavick) That was great. My turn.
(Shane hands the phone to Mavick. He starts looking thought the call log)
(Mavick) Do you know what car service Syn uses?
(Shane Montez) The same one as us.
(Mavick) Ah, here's the number.
(Mavick dials)
(Mavick) Hello. This is Synyster from PWR. I would like to cancel my limo pick up for tonight. Yes I'm going out with some of the guys
after the show so I will catch a ride with them. Cancellation fee?
Yeah no problem just put it on my credit card. Great, thank you. You
have a nice day.
(Mavick hangs up the phone)
(Mavick) He's going to wish he kept that envelope.
(Shane Montez) Enough fun for now. I have to get ready for this match.
(The camera cuts to commercial as Shane starts to tape his wrists)
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Devin St. Jons) Welcome back to Overload fans. Right before we went to break, we saw the conversation with Shane & Synyster, and fans, I think this feud is about to get taken up a few notches. The Whoresmen have taken control of Synyster's private plane and left him pretty much stranded here in Boise with no car! I can't wait to hear what Synyster has to say about this! Right now, let's head to the ring for our tag team match of the evening!
Tag Team Match
Reign & "The Ghost" Bryan Kros vs Team America (Shawn Shamrock & Kid Supreme)
Team America came into tonight, looking to get back on track after a big loss last week in the number one contenders match to The Death Dealers, but they ran into a freight train that was the team of Reign and "The Ghost" Bryan Kros. Kros started off against Shawn Shamrock and immediately Kros began to exert his dominance. Kros pounded on the "American Sex Machine" in the opening moments of this match. Kros used his highflying ability to keep Shamrock off balance, and then used his power game and hit the clothesline from hell to take Shamrock down. Kros then made the tag to Reign who came in and sent Shamrock scrambling to his corner to make the tag to Supreme. Supreme came in showing no fear, much to his credit, but as soon as Reign drilled him with a hard right hand, Supreme had different thoughts. Reign pulled Supreme to his feet and went for a powerslam, but Shamrock came in and hit a chop block, turning the tide for moment. Team America pulled Reign up and hit a dual brainbuster leading to a two count at the seven-minute mark. Reign was reeling, but managed to regain control and make the tag to a fresh Bryan Kros who entered the ring like a house of fire! Kros put Shamrock down with a superkick, and then turned his attention to Supreme. Supreme got hit with the Ghostbuster, and then Kros tagged in Reign once again. Reign hit the ring and went to Supreme, took him in the air with the military press and slammed him down with the Divine Justice! Kros quickly headed to the top rope and leaped off with the moonsault! Reign made the cover, while Kros held off Shamrock and got the three count.
Winners by pinfall at 9:39 - Reign & "The Ghost" Bryan Kros
(Devin St. Jons) I think we may have just found some new contenders for the Tag Team titles! What a combination Kros & Reign made here tonight, as they dominated Team America. Very good showing for the young star Kros and the reigning Rated R Champion, Reign. Right now, let's take you backstage to Lizzie McFadden who is standing by with PWR Director of Authority, Synyster.
(Camera shoots backstage, where Lizzie is standing by with Synyster)
(Lizzie McFadden) Thanks Devin. Synyster, thanks for joining me.
(Synyster) My pleasure Lizzie. Welcome to PWR.
(Lizzie McFadden) Thank you. Now, down to business. Next up, you face off against your old friend, Shane Montez in an International Division showdown. Through the unique rules of the International Division, you are able to face Shane in the company that you co-own. What kind of pride does it give you to be able to do this on your own show?
(Synyster) Oh, Lizzie so much. So much pride. That's what I like about this whole International Division; I get to perform for my own product. BSY and I put a lot of effort into making PWR a great place to be, and tonight I get a chance to add a little bit more excitement to things, by going out and having a great match against my good friend Shane.
(Lizzie McFadden) Well, after what I have to say next, I wonder how those sentiments are going to change.
(Synyster) What are you talking about?
(Lizzie McFadden) Well Synyster, you remember when Shane hugged you in the locker room?
(Synyster) Yeah.
(Lizzie McFadden) Well, he only did that so he could lift your cell phone off you. He impersonated you and called your pilot and told him that you wouldn't be on your plane tonight and gave him and Mavick control of it. He also canceled your car service.
(Synyster) What? You have got to be kidding me!
(Synyster's theme music begins over the PA)
(Synyster) Son of a bitch! I can't do anything about this now, I'm up next! God damn it! I'm going to kick the hell out of that bastard!
(Synyster storms off)
(Lizzie McFadden) I think Synyster is going to take some serious aggression out on Shane here tonight! Back to you Devin!
(Camera switches back to Devin St. Jons at ringside)
(Devin St. Jons) I wouldn't want to be in Shane Montez's shoes here tonight. Synyster is pissed off and is looking to exact a little revenge on Shane! Let's get to the ring!
International Division Grudge Match
Synyster vs Shane Montez
Synyster stormed to the ring, and waiting in the middle for Shane, and when Shane's music hit, he walked out with Synyster's cell phone in hand, mocking his "friend". Synyster started to leave the ring, but the referee held him back. Shane motioned for Mavick to come out, and he did, taking Synyster's phone to the back with him. Shane entered the ring, but not before balking many times, under the pressure from Synyster trying to tear his head off. Shane finally gets in the ring and the referee calls for the bell, and Synyster charges and Shane ducks out of the ropes. Synyster tries to swipe at Shane, but Shane catches Syn with a thumb to the eye! Shane uses that trick to begin his offense, using punches and kicks very effectively. Shane connects with a standing Montezsault at the four-minute mark, for a two count. Shane pulls Syn back up and looks to be going for the Montez Driver, but Synyster counters into a German suplex! Shane rolls to the outside, looking for safety, but he got none as Synyster hit a suicide dive through the ropes right into the chest of Shane! Syn rolled Shane back in the ring and covered him for a two count. Synyster continued on the offense, until Shane countered Synyster's Ultimate Sin at the nine-minute mark, and hit the Bong Bash! Shane covered Synyster very arrogantly, leaving Synyster room to get the shoulder up at two. Shane pulled Synyster to his feet and dropped him with a spike DDT, before heading to the top rope. Shane leaped off with the Overdose and connected! Shane hooked the leg and Synyster narrowly got the shoulder up. Shane pulled Syn to his feet, and looked to be going for the New Sensation, but Syn connected with a series of elbows to the back of Shane's head, breaking the hold. Synyster ran toward the ropes and went for the boot, Shane ducked and shot off the ropes himself, but Syn countered, catching Shane with the Synyster Slam as we hit the 13-minute mark. Shane and Synyster utilized nearly the whole ten count, before getting back to their feet. Synyster took control, drilling Shane with right hand after right hand, before picking him up and dropping him with the Whiplash! Synyster pulled Shane up, looking for his move, Envy, when Shane countered out of it and his Synyster with the New Sensation! Shane covered, and Synyster kicked out at two! Shane really started to show his frustration, and began to go after the referee. Shane left Synyster unattended while he berated the referee, allowing Synyster to get back to his feet. Syn snuck up behind Shane and hooked him with the full nelson, and hit his finisher The Second Coming! Shane was out of it, and Syn hooked the leg, but Mavick came sprinting down the ramp and broke up the fall, leading to a disqualification. After the match, Shane and Mavick double teamed Synyster, before eventually hitting their double team finisher on Synyster, leaving him lying.
Winner by disqualification at 17:21 - Synyster
(Devin St. Jons) What a despicable series of acts perpetrated by The Whoresmen here tonight. Synyster has been left lying, while The Whoresmen have taken control of his personal belongings. Fans, we'll be right back with our main event of the evening.
:::COMMERCIAL BREAK:::
(Camera comes back into the backstage area, where Dan Dexter is standing by with Zanyon)
(Dan Dexter) The former PWR World Champion, Zanyon, is now joining me. Zanyon, you are coming off a loss to Mary-Jane Montez, under very controversial circumstances. We understand now that you, PTP and Mary-Jane Montez will compete at PWR Evil Endgame in a Triple Threat Ladder Match for the World Title. Your thoughts?
(Zanyon) Well, first off I have a message for PTP. You cost me my World Title. Don't think I am ever going to forget that.
(Dan Dexter) Any comments for MJM?
(Zanyon) I'm getting to it dummy! Shut up, hold the mic and be quiet. Now, Evil Endgame, Ladder Match for the title, and I can't wait. I will be PWR champion again; you can mark my words on that. PTP, MJM, I'm coming for the belt, and I am bringing hell with me. Paul Pain is going to find out about a little of that hell tonight.
(Zanyon storms off leaving Dexter standing there, as camera switches to the medical room, where Synyster is seen on the phone)
(Doctor) Please sir, I need you to get off the phone.
(Synyster) Just a minute damn it.
(Lizzie McFadden walks in)
(Lizzie McFadden) You okay Syn?
(Synyster) I'm fine. It's not like I haven't taken a beating before, these guys are just being cautious. I am trying to get in contact with my pilot before Shane and Mavick get there. But I can't get through. Damn it.
(Doctor) Please calm down sir.
(Synyster) Okay doc. Fine. I just know the pilot won't let them crash it. I swear, I'm going to make their lives a living hell!
(Lizzie McFadden) I can give you a ride later Syn. If you need it.
(Synyster) Thanks Lizzie.
(Synyster drops the phone and allows the doctor to work, while the camera switches back to ringside and Devin St. Jons)
(Devin St. Jons) Well, Synyster is none to happy, and I can't say that I blame him one bit. I can't wait to see what he has in store for Shane and Mavick in the future. It's time for our main event fans; let's get to the ring!
:::::MAIN EVENT:::::
Grudge Match
Paul Pain vs Zanyon
Both men made their entrances and the match got underway, as Zanyon and Pain locked up. Paul Pain went on the offense early, with a series of knees into the midsection of the former World Champion. Pain exerted his dominance by using some of that power game he's so well known for. Pain dropped Zanyon with a spinebuster, and got a two count at the four-minute mark. Pain pulled Zanyon back to his feet, and went for a shoulder breaker, but Zanyon pushed out and threw Pain into the corner, driving his shoulder into the corner post! Zanyon rolled Pain up out of the corner, and got a two count. Zanyon had turned the tide and started to use his superior speed to take control of the match. Zanyon took Pain to the middle of the ring and locked him by the head, ran toward the corner and hit the Warrior's Code! Zanyon covered Pain and Pain managed once again to barely get the shoulder up. Pain withstood the heavy assault by Zanyon to turn the tide back in his favor at the ten-minute mark. Zanyon went for his Windy City Slam, but Pain spun out and hit a side Russian leg sweep. Pain bounced back to his feet, and pulled Zanyon up, Pain hooked Zanyon and drove him into the mat with a power bomb. Pain bounced off the ropes and hit the big splash on Zanyon, hooked the leg and got a two count. Zanyon was using every bit of energy he had left to kick out after this series of power moves from Pain. Pain decided it was time for him to go for the Pain Killer, and pulled Zanyon to his feet at the 15-minute mark, and took him in the air, but Zanyon raked the eyes to get out of the move. Zanyon bounced off the ropes and hit a flying head scissor, taking the big man down to the mat. Zanyon used a barrage of moves to send Pain to the brink, when MJM's theme music started over the PA. Zanyon immediately turned his attention to the ramp way, and when there was no one there, Zanyon turned around right into the Pain Killer from Paul Pain! Pain covered and hooked the leg for the three count.
Winner by pinfall at 18:34 - Paul Pain
(Devin St. Jons) Well, for the second show in a row, mind games get the better of Zanyon. Fans, we're out of time, we'll see you next time on Overload!
