"Primetime's" Full Wrestling History

Paul Roberts full official and unofficial wrestling history. Anything that I deem un-important or of little significance is listed as unofficial because it is not included in “Primetime’s” wrestling career timeline. There have been very few unofficial historical events but there have been some that are not normally mentioned because there is no need to include them, this list will include them.

GCW: Global Championship Wrestling: Unofficial
Anything that happened while under the GCW banner is deemed unofficial history because I spent only a week with the GCW before moving and losing internet connection, when I returned to the GCW it had closed. Paul Roberts made his first debut as a character for GCW but as his career is told GCW is never mentioned. Roberts debuted as a character at GCW: Showdown with a vignette announcing his arrival in GCW he then appeared on stage to give an interview but he had interrupted a match and the two competitors in the match then attacked Roberts, beating him down. Subsequently making a mockery out of him, after that show I told management I had to leave for a few weeks to move. My intention was to use the beat down as the reason for my absence and return and interfere in the end of a match involving those two competitors. However when I returned to the GCW it had closed.

WCF: World Championship Federation
Paul Roberts debut match was with the WCF, he defeated Dradion via a squash. The bulk of his legacy deals with the WCF in someway or form. Paul Roberts had a variety of feuds with the WCF, the first of that dealing with Rederick, a legendary competitor that by all rights should have been in the Hall of Fame somewhere or another but never was inducted. Roberts and Rederick would exchange upper-hands throughout the course of the short lived rivalry, although Rederick has never formally defeated Roberts by pin or submission Roberts does hold one pin fall victory over Rederick. Intense rivalries were never hard to come by for Roberts in the WCF, many more would come including rivalries with Xey Valentine (the man who would be the first to beat Roberts), Master C, Derreck Schaefer, DragonSoldier, and Mike “DDay” Carnage. (Both DragonSoldier and Mike Carnage made it there mission to destroy “Primetime” although neither were able to end his rein as World Champion. The WCF would go on hiatus during Paul Roberts rein and Roberts having never been defeated took the belt with him, although the official WCF records have the rein ending the day the hiatus occurred.

DSW: Deep South Wrestling
Paul Roberts entered Deep South Wrestling with the WCF World Title in his grasp and was determined to get the title officially sanctioned by the DSW. After a few days there Roberts arranged for both the WCF and the DSW to share the exclusive rights to the WCF’s World title so that he could hold and defend it in DSW, with the agreement ending the day that the WCF’s hiatus was lifted. DSW stars did not take kindly to a new star showing up demeaning the value of there brands championship, consequently he was not well liked by other members of the roster. Roberts began recruiting more former WCF stars to join him on DSW programming, along with lobbying to defend the WCF World Championship at the next DSW Pay-Per-View. During that title defense against Viper WCF: Revolution led by WCF President Trevor Ulmer would arrive and cost Viper the WCF title against Roberts. None-the-less Roberts was the victor of the match and had successfully defended the WCF World Title in a DSW ring. For weeks following his groups arrival the DSW would feud with WCF: Revolution in hopes of defeating them and sending them away from there federation. The feud between the two organizations would culminate at DSW: Scars and Stripes which saw in the main event Team DSW lose to WCF: Revolution not one member of WCF: Revolution was eliminated from that match. The next card saw Roberts getting his first shot at the DSW Championship the title he wanted to acquire since the day he walked in the door so that both World Championships could be on one man, making him once again the Undisputed Champion of the World. However the event would be cancelled shortly before it was to begin and Roberts would be injured in a car accident on the way to the arena that night.

WCF: (Re-boot)
A few days before WCF: Hangover was to air on SEM (the new network that picked up the WCF) it was announced via there news network that WCF Champion Paul Roberts had been in a car accident earlier that week and would not be able to compete at Hangover, however he was still believed to be trying to make it to the event. The news clip was right, Roberts did make an appearance at the show that night but not how he would have liked, WCF President Trevor Ulmer welcomed him down to the ring where he then ordered him to surrender the WCF World Heavyweight Championship. Citing he was no longer able to actively compete. Reluctantly Roberts handed over the belt that he had held so closely for so long. Roberts would however have an ace up his sleeve, he had found out that SEM (Sports Entertainment Media) had bought a small share of WCF stock as part of a condition of airing Hangover on Sunday nights, and had then hired two executives to oversee the operation of the show to ensure the longevity of the product. Roberts became very familiar with the executives and positioned himself to become the new Vice President of operations of the WCF. The final decision was eventually left up to Ulmer who okayed it with the stipulation that he got the opportunity to fight Roberts in a match. An opportunity to get back at Roberts for making life such a headache for the boss, also if Roberts lost the match he was gone from WCF forever. Roberts went on to win the match and become Vice President, and Ulmer was injured so severally in there match Roberts had complete control of the company for about two months strait. Upon Ulmer’s return things had to be done on a 100% agreement between the two men in management. Roberts did not like this and resigned from his position as VP in favor of an in ring return to wrestling. The WCF closed shortly after Roberts announcement of his entrance in the “Golden Opportunity” battle royal. The WCF then closed its doors for the final time.

EGW: Extreme Global Wrestling: (In character and OOC)(The match is the only thing included in Roberts official history the rest is unofficial.)
Just a week or so after the closure of the WCF, EGW stars made some extremely distasteful remarks on the WCF on the WCF’s OOC boards. The former WCF stars tried to ignore them but something’s are just too much. The EGW’s management did not support there stars comments on OOC but did see the opening for a EGW vs WCF match that was fueled by the very real hatred between the role-players. Originally the match was not agreed upon by the WCF, believing they would not have a fair chance with EGW management deciding the winners and writing the results. But after EGW management professed time and time again that the best team will win the match was signed and deemed “EGW vs WCF: War Games”. The match would have nothing to do with any storylines involved in EGW at the time and the WCF was not in operation. WCF would lose the match when the EGW president pinned the WCF president in an elimination style match. Roberts was never officially eliminated in the match. There is still controversy to this day over who should have actually been booked to win the War Games match, and it is highly believed that the match should have never taken place to begin with.

UWF: Universal Wrestling Federation
After nearly a year out of the game Roberts found himself looking again to compete and was steered toward the UWF as his new home. Roberts signed with the UWF just days short of being included in the Universal Championship Tournament at Tidal Wave the fist Pay-Per-View for the returning federation. However Roberts did make an appearance at Tidal Wave with the intent of ruffling some feathers a bit with the rest of the roster. Bobby “The Beast” Bishop won the Universal Championship that night, and Roberts has his eyes fixed on the belt once again. In only four matches in the UWF Paul Roberts would achieve his goal of gaining the Universal Championship. But for seemingly no reason the UWF would close just days after he winning the gold.

ASW:All Star Wrestling
Just days after winning the UWF’s top prize, the Universal Championship, Roberts got a phone call that the UWF president had sold the company and abandoned its roster. The new owners wanted nothing to do with wrestling or its roster so it never had another card. When they ordered Paul to return the belt Roberts refused, and to this day still has the original UWF Universal Championship belt in his trophy case in his home. With his arrival in ASW, Paul Roberts decided to go about things a bit differently, instead of being on a mission to win the companies top prize, he decided to go after younger hungrier competition, saying that defeated world champion after world champion was just too easy. This time he would take his time on his way to the World Championship. But rest assured Paul Roberts will be ASW World champion before his career is over.
