The scene opens to a simulcast of the WCF and DSW networks. We are in the lavish home of “Primetime” Paul Roberts who appears to have flown home to Hollywood for a few days before the Scars ‘n Stripes Pay-Per-View. What could possibly so important that he would have to leave Minnesota only days before the biggest match in DSW history?
As the cameras move through the house commotion can be heard in the adjacent room to the left, this is reminiscent of the first time Paul Roberts appeared on DSW TV only a few months ago. As we move in we see the WCF’s biggest prize the WCF World Heavyweight Championship sitting on the metallic kitchen counter. Roberts, dressed in a white t shirt and sweatpants appears to be looking for something. Chad and Everett are sitting at the glass table in the center of the room.
Chad: What are you looking for anyway?
Primetime: Have you not learned anything in the time that you have been managing me? I always have a reason for everything.
Chad: It is only that you have not yet mentioned once why we had to come to Hollywood, since you insisted that we leave a couple of days ago.
Primetime: Let me tell you something Chad, your problem is you don’t understand the complexities of this business, there has been one man since the day I came to DSW that has been giving me fits, and that man is Viper, now it is looking like the main contenders to the DSW title are me and him, so if he wants that belt then he is going to have to beat me once again.
Everett: Well I hate to be the barer of bad news but you have yet to beat him one on one Paul.
Primetime: You don’t think I know that Ev? You asshole, who the hell do you think you are talking to? I am “Primetime” Paul Roberts damn it! I have defeated every major star in the world today! I am the rookie sensation that every fed out there wants on there roster! You never know what could happen out there guys, this could be my last match ever for all we know, and let me make something clear, I don’t care if it is my last match Viper will NOT win the DSW title, mark my words!
Chad: We know Paul, but that does not explain what we are doing here.
Primetime: Ah here it is!
Everett: What is it?
Roberts pulls out a half smoked cigar from his cupboard.
Chad: A cigar?
Everett: We came all this way for a damn cigar?
Chad: A half smoked one at that.
Primetime: You guys, this is the cigar that we smoked at my victory party following my win over one Mike “DDay” Carnage, the man who after I beat him was never seen or heard from again. Did Mike want in on our Revolution? No, he said he had moved on, well I have news for him and for everyone out there watching, the WCF is the greatest and most dominant force in wrestling history! I would put my guys up against anyone and we are going to go out there and show everyone that we did it without the “great” Mike “DDay” Carnage! And when all is said and done and all the smoke is cleared I will once again light this cigar when I win the DSW title, and officially kill this place once and for all!
Everett: Well it is great to break into a promo and all but come on, you have to have something up your sleeve for this week.
Primetime: This week it is me and him, we will find out who is better once and for all, and no tricks no games, strait up I want to see what he has got.
Chad: Viper is a great competitor-
Primetime: He is great, but he is not Greatness! He is no Primetime, he is no Mike “DDay” Carnage, I know what I am doing this Sunday, and WCF will stand tall at the end!
Everett: So is there anything else you wanted to do here in Hollywood or can we go now?
Primetime: Ev, no one is keeping you here no one has forced you to be my manager, you wanted to join the team, but ever since you started all I have seemed to do is listen to you whine all the time. Either you are with us or you are against us Ev, make up your mind now, because I am done playing games.
Everett: What are you talking about Paul? I have always been on your side.
Primetime: I need guys who will do what I say without question, I need guys that don’t whine, I need guys that will try to further the greatness of my career. You have not done much of that since you came here. So it is now or never Ev, either you find a way to help the WCF in this match or you can go to the free agency.
Everett: But-
Primetime: I don’t know…
Silence for a few seconds.
Primetime: I don’t know… Maybe I’m just not making myself clear. I am done screwing around in DSW Ev, it is now or never for both brands by the end of this only one will survive! This IS the most important match in the history of WCF let alone my career. It is do or die time, and I worked too hard and too long to let the brand that I and I alone kept alive, die now because some washed up Dean Phoenix cant let the past go! He turned on the men that made him a star, and now he is letting DSW down just like he let WCF down. I worked too hard for this Ev, and I am cutting away all the slackers who are not down with the WCF. You have not seemed to want to do anything to help our cause since day one! So now what is your choice?
Everett: Paul I-
Primetime: The next words out of your mouth better be I am WCF or I am DSW, or I will kick your ass, I don’t even want to hear you clear your throat.
Everett: I am with WCF Paul.
Primetime: Great! Now lets get down to business! Since we are all WCF superstars and my fellow Revolution comrades have chosen to remain silent the past few weeks we will once again become the image of the WCF. Undoubtedly they will be at the match the only question being will they be there to fight for the company they love? Rederick, I brought him here to become the DSW champion, but at the first sign the DSW were not going to just lie down and die, he went silent, I admired him at one time, called him the backbone of the WCF, but if he lets me down at the Pay-Per-View he will have let the WCF down. And that is unacceptable.
Everett: Absolutely.
Chad: What happened to them all?
Primetime: The Revolution has fallen the last few weeks and don’t seem to have the ability to get up again. I only hope that I am wrong. DragonSoldier, He was taken out a couple of weeks ago in the back by some coward DSW guys who did not have enough balls to look him in the eye and challenge him. I know the power of DragonSoldier but I can only hope that, that attack didn’t put him on the shelf for good.
Chad: Punisher?
Primetime: I couldn’t tell you, he pretty much fell silent after we defeated the DSW tag champs and were not awarded the titles. I don’t know what happened to him, but I can only hope he will be back.
Everett: Bruce?
Primetime: Bruce seems to be the only man I can count on right now, sadly he is not on my team, and Trev well he has his champion ready to go, but the rest of his team, well I don’t know. The Revolution needs to do this for the WCF, we need to jump start thing again, we can’t just let it fizzle out because some jack ass interim President found a way to knock us over a barrel.
Everett: There team has not shown up yet.
Primetime: Well then we are about even then aren’t we? So far I am the only one who has come ready to fight; I surrounded myself with what I called the best the WCF had to offer, minus Master C and Carnage. And we proved to be an unstoppable force, but yet the very same men seem to have forgotten all about what we about.
Chad: I hope they figure it out before the Pay-Per-View.
Primetime: We are a company that everyone wanted to be a part of, we had great competition, a great atmosphere and an outstanding roster, flakey yes, but the core men, myself, Rederick, Carnage, DragonSoldier, Punisher, Chen, Master C, we kept the WCF a float and when everyone else was ready to let a company that rose to such heights just die, I went and injected it with life once again. Without the WCF there would be no “Primetime” Paul Roberts, and with out “Primetime” Paul Roberts there would be no WCF. We are one and the same, the WCF is my life, and that is what I am fighting for this Sunday.
The scene fades with Roberts leaning on the kitchen table, and Chad, and Everett sitting at either end of the table.
