Owlet grubs are the larvae of a moth that is well distributed throughout North America (mainly in the east). These caterpillars make great feeders as well as interesting subjects of study in the classroom. Complete life cycle can be as short as 1 month if optimum temperature and food plant are consistently supplied. The adult moths are strong fliers and quick runners, so escapes are a normal occurance. Although they can be found in many areas and are native to North America, it is best not to release these insects into the wild. Another great aspect of these grubs is that they can be stored like mealworms and waxworms in the fridge for months at a time. Once warmed up, they continue with their active inquisitive nature. Breeding can be a bit difficult since the adults have many requirements, not only to mate, but also for oviposition. But we've discovered an easier method that maximizes breeding behavior and reproduction. Available in 12 count cups - $15.00 (Priority shipping included) COMING SOON!!! Paypal Accepted!!!
