Asuka sig.
I still only have girly brushes. I started out with a black background, which I brushed on in white. Once I had completed that I started adding colour balance layers. Mostly they are cyan, green and blue. There is a shadow layer and a highlight layer in there too somewhere.

Once I achieved an acceptable colour, I floodfilled each colour balance layer in black, then brushed again with white. This creates an interesting merging of colours and depth in the background.

I added the Asuka render and it seemed to match nicely but was too tropical for a Christmas sig. I decided to keep it though and make it an Aussie Christmas sig.

Stars sig.
This was by request. From my experience with the Asuka sig, I knew that if I didn't set some limits I was going to end up with another gorgeous blue background that was completely useless for a Christmas sig. I decided to limit myself to red and green only.

I did the usual brushing white on black then the colour balance layers. Only three layers this time. Red and more red. In midtone, highlight and shadow. I then brushed on the colour balance layers to make an interesting effect.

That render, while very cute, was extremely difficult to use. I couldn't cut it out. Sooo low res. I ended up just doing it messily and then using the eraser tool to clean it up.

I thought the text looked kinda cool on an angle. Like a Christmas card.

I used a preexisting piece of grunge as the background and added text. Simple.
