As you might have guessed, I adore Final Fantasy. I started playing with VII and have played all the games after that. I have played a few of the games before VII but they are kinda hard to keep track of. Here is a bit about each Final Fantasy, starting from FFVII.

Final Fantasy VII

My first Final Fantasy. So glad I convinced Dad to buy it. I love the storyline in this game, I even like the materia system... so fun!!! I haven't seen Advent Children yet. I really really want to! I LOVE the chocobo breeding in this game! So fun!

Unfortunately its really hard to get anyone to play this game nowadays, cause the graphics are TERRIBLE compared to the later installments.

Some of the highlights of this game include: optional playable characters, optional sidequests, characters not in use levelling anyway, chocobo racing and lots of minigames!

Final Fantasy VIII

I got this one for Christmas, I think... or maybe it was for my birthday? Oh well. I own this game outright. Yay! It has a nice story and fun characters, its lots prettier than FF7. Graphics have improved heaps. The first installment to include a song that has words and people singing! My favourite part of this game is the cards minigame. I also really like the end castle... awesome idea that!

I love the way this game begins. VIII's starting video sequence is by far the best out of EVERY Final Fantasy game. I also like the way you start out at a military school and have to do exams along the way. Cause everyone would LOVE to be in a mystical world and go to mercenary school and learn how to summon monsters and fight and use magic!

Final Fantasy IX

A very cute game. There is a fabled sword you can get if you can get to the almost end of the game in under 12hrs. I have never been able to come close. My brother and I have tried. We tried to follow guides. It is impossible! I think it also ruins the fun of the game to try and race through it.

On the plus side, this game had the coolest chocobo activities. I loved the chocobo digging. It was really fun and you could get great items. The explorability of the world map was awesome too. Collecting the Stellazio was fun and I liked the way abilities were learned from the equipment.

Final Fantasy X

The first Final Fantasy to appear on the PS2. I first bought this one before I even had a memory card. Not a good idea. You can only do the beginning of a game so many times, and you can only play for so many hours at a time. I was playing until around 3am during this time. Then I got a memory card. Thank goodness.

This is a beautiful game. The cutscenes are gorgeous. Unfortunately the music is really borinng. There is like one theme in the entire game that I really like... The hymn of the faith gets REALLY annoying after a while... you can totally sing along with it after the third temple.

The first Final Fantasy game I bought with my own money, it holds a special place in my heart.

Final Fantasy X-2

Girl Power!!! Its nice to have a Final Fantasy where the main player characters are female. I don't own this game. It is my brothers. I intend to buy it when I buy a PS2. If I ever do. I may just buy a PS3 instead.

This is another very pretty game. I love the two music video sequences - totally awesome! The missions system is actually fun. There is lots to do, especially to get 100% completion. I am having huge difficulties getting the last two dressspheres. The internet guides don't agree with each other which makes it difficult.

I must get the good ending. The game is just too sad otherwise... Lenne's story is really sad all by itself, at least let Yuna have a happy ending!

Final Fantasy XI

The first Final Fantasy to be played entirely online. An MMORPG. Thats my character there on the left, the catgirl looking thing. Race=Mithra. This is an awesome game. What could be more fun? Playing a Squaresoft RPG WITH other people is great stuff! (is new to the world of MMORPG) There are lots and lots of options in game for fun. You can level up solo or in parties, farm for items, craft, fish, travel, sell stuff at the auction house, talk to people, join a linkshell, MPK other players (you're not supposed to do that!) and just generally have an awesome fun time!

If I had FFXI I would be happy to be on extreme long break from Uni with nothing to do. Unfortunately, I must save up for yonks before I will be able to afford the game and the monthly fee.
