Decisions

[What came up that needed to be addressed? Nothing that especially needed to be addressed. Just when developing the data dictionary special care was given to that development. Did you run into a problem or roadblock? No How did you solve it? What important decisions did you make this week that impacted your project? Nothing that had a particular impact. Just the decision about what would be the key field in the database. What were the key tasks you performed this week? The biggest thing decision wise for the week was to make the key field for the database. The key field is going to be a numerical field . That field is going to be in sequence starting at 1. This field will be the identifier for the customer. ]

Learning

[Answer all questions below.]

1) What helpful feedback did you get in the class (instructor, classmates) and outside the class (user, stakeholder, beneficiary, mentor, expert advisor, others)? The feedback was working with the owner’s on the decision of the key field for the database. The report for the owner’s for customer list is the key field and first and last name. The query for finding the customer is typing the first three letters of the last name. Then if there is more than one person with the same last name, just pick the correct one. What did you learn from this feedback? Just to try and make it as simple as possible for the users. If it is to complicated, they will not use it.

2) What resources did you use this week (e.g., people, money, equipment, systems, or software)? People were used, the owner to help develop the database. Also, Microsoft Access was used in the database/data dictionary development. Did you add new resources? The new resource in the end was the data dictionary. What was your learning? To keep it as simple as possible.

3) What research did you perform this week that was assisting and/or literature based? What was your learning? The research as customer oriented and customer service based. The ins and outs of consignment sales and sales trends for the area.
