Universal love in practise
Maybe it isn't sao that people would not feel universal love in practise. Maybe we just lack the social skills to notice how much we have in common in what comes to our goals, intentions, wishes and likings.
If one would ask a farmer in Finland about universal love, they would answer yes to compassion toward all living beings and to a life according to that the best that they ever can in practise. If one would ask a farmer in Sweden about whether they want to do things in fine ways and whether love toward all living beings in the sense of giving them good living possibilities etc is fine, they would answer yes. And in Russia they would answer yes to universal peace and to carrying responsibility about it etc. And so one could a country by country tell that what people really support is the same. Maybe the Japanese would term it universal love. I term it a global paradise - to such a wording maybe even the not so moral can agree. Well, nothing special about that. Just that it is a question of knowing the cultures and their ways pof phrasing things in a convincing way which is also followed in practise.
