Dear Sir,
I have written a self-published book which seeks to show that the
purely selfish military kind of power benefit point of view supports
excellent moral. The book is available in the internet for free at
stores.lulu.com/khtervola. About how the values mentioned in the book
connect to Buddhism, I have written the following:
Inside the scientifical picture of the world Buddhist enlightenment
would refer to the happiness produced by completely healthy ways of
living, healthy especially in what comes to the use of attention which
would not be robot like like that of a one used to memorising
everything taught in school but instead naturally observant and so
able to adabt to every situation that life brings - with the increased
understanding (the ability to pay attention to many essential points)
bought by education being a part of the reaction.
Human values and a holistic view of the world relate directly to the
Buddhist compassion toward all living beings. Justice is the way to
support good and prevent harm to the living beings. Carrying
responsibility about the consequences of one's actions relates to
being aware about them and caring for all the others.
Naturality connects to health: following the natural ways of
functioning of humans brings health. By natural attention we mean
paying attention to things in a way that suits the situation and in a
way that our ture nature commands us to use in such a situation.
I hope that this could be of any use to You.
Yours sincerely, Kaisa Hannele Tervola
