Dear Sirs,
If You find it too difficult to think objectively about feelings, the
sense of beauty and even sex, label them factors of type X and analyse
them after that, making deductions based on the end results of that
analysis so that they are sure to apply:
Feelings etc. affect life, so they are some kind of complex forces in
the lives of individuals, the group and the world at large. So,
factors of type X are some kind of forces.
Factors of type X were created by the evolution. So, factors of type X
were formed to aid in the survival of the individuals, of the pack and
of the species.
If there was a victorious arrangement created by the evolution, that
had to stay in order to quarantee survival and future victory in the
evolution's contest. So the forces formed by the evolution needed to
guide toward that arrangement, i.e. toward full health. This result
applies also to the factors of type X. In other words feelings,
instincts etc. help to safeguard good health of the individuals, of
the group and of the living environment.
Much more about this subject and its applications to modern work
efficiency in my book Work Efficiency and Likings which is available
in the internet.
Yours sincerely,
Kaisa Hannele Tervola, Finland, Europe
