Dear Sir,
Today, 6th December 2007, is the 90th anniversary of Finland's independence.
Finland has an unique culture which bases everything on holistic
rationality. Even the Finnish language forces the ones using it to a
more holistic and less word centered way of looking at things: it has
word endings which change the words used for describing things as
their position in the world changes. Such rationality would be of much
use in today's complex interconnected world. The culture of Finland
manages to fit all different points of view to one single well working
model of a healthy society which is followed and strongly supported by
all its citizens. Finland is a peaceful democracy which has a lot to
offer to the world if it just can keep its unique charachteristics at
these times of globalization.
Yours sincerely, Hannele Tervola, Espoo, Finland, European Union
