Our beloved soldiers one and all

Has answered America’s call,

Over oceans to war torn lands

Our flag flies to let freedom stand.

As holiday bells toll in the season

Let us pause to recall the reason

We are free to celebrate Christmas

And the birth of our Lord Jesus.

Pray for those that fought and died,

For the suffering families that cried,

Pray for the soldiers so far from home

Who this Christmas will be alone.

Jesus in Heaven hear our prayer

For our soldiers everywhere,

Protect our warriors over there,

Hold them in your loving care.

Lord give special blessings

To soldiers who are missing,

Heal the wounded and lame

We pray in thy holy name.

Bless those soldiers far away

Keep them from harms way,

Give comfort to worried minds

From your gentle heart so kind.

As they stand brave and proud

We kneel with heads bowed,

Lord, bless them around this Earth

As we ready to celebrate your birth.

Keep them in your most holy light

Lead their way through perilous nights,

Embrace them unto you sweet Jesus

As we near this coming Christmas.

Merciful Father in Heaven above

Watch over the soldiers we love,

Bring our soldiers home safely to us,

Home by next Christmas.
