Computers and Careers in the Future


According to Gordon Bell and Jon Gray Bay Area Research Center, Microsoft Corp. by the year 2047, almost all information will be cyberspace. Information about physical objects, including humans, buildings, processes, and organizations will be online. It will be expected based upon the evolution of our society.

In the past decade, progress in computer technology has transformed into high and sophisticated levels, continuing at an accelerated rate. The average American today is interactive with electronic devices, computers, cell phones and credit cards. Thanks to the skilled professionals of different types of people who work with computers, like software-engineers, hardware engineer, designers, programmers and technicians, in which facilitates to enhance our lives and the commerce.

The U.S. Department Bureau Labor Statistics provided projections of the occupational and industry employment by examining the past changes; illustrating projections for the labor work force in the future. Their statistics projects among all occupations in the economy, computer and healthcare careers to grow between the years 2004-2014 approximately 55-60 percent in these defined areas- network systems and data communication analysis.

While computer jobs account for 5 of the 20 fastest growing occupations, upon the statistics of the (U.S. Department Bureau of Labor Statistics) the work field relating to computers combined with healthcare will add more than 1.8 million new jobs for the future.
