 So. What the heck brought me to the Redwall series, a "children's" series about cute little fluffy animals. Well, you must keep in mind two things. One: I'm the one with Rob Zombie and Disney, remember? Two: The idea of fluffy little animals bashing each others brains out with sword was somehow appealing... ;) All joking aside, Mr. Jacques has a real hit on his hands. The Redwall series is brilliant for whatever age you are, because each story has such a broad range of characters that everyone can find at least one character they like. While his storytelling format is quite unmoving (I could tell you exactly how each Redwall book starts, and ends, and a few things to predict in the middle) it's strange how his writting never grows old. Tolkien... the writer of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, acclaimed "best author in the world"... unfortunatly, does grow boring, repeditive, and can make one suicidal over time... ;) Jacques' style (for me) never seems to grow old. This is my little area set apart for one of my favorite series. As I can't seem to make any music videos, it looks like I won't have any... But I'll do my best to come up with a review of each of his books, a FAQ, and as indepth of a bio of Jacques as I can. ~Amy~ |
