Gunz The Duel (7/13/06) About It: Gunz is an action shooter game, where you go head to head against a lot of players with guns, swords, daggers, etc. You can choose to go in a deathmatch, gladiator using only a sword or dagger, team deathmatch, assassination, quests, and many other modes. You create your own character and choose your weapons. Later on you can buy new weapons and clothing with the bounty you make. My Review: 
If you love to shoot things manically from a 3rd person point of view then maybe Gunz The Duel is right for you. All you do is shoot people and/or slice them up in matches or do that to goblins in quests. You just kill people and get killed, kill people and get killed, over and over again. It gets old. I guess that's why  they added the quest game to add something else but really...you're just killing goblins instead of people. If you actually get to a high level there is no one to play with that's actually around you level in that channel. Most people go to the free channel when that comes but I have yet to see a player higher than 20 on that game. Sure it's nice to get a rocket launcher but the game does get old. And so do the constant hackers that just love to kill everyone in one hit very fast making others leave. Sure you can kick them but sometimes they come back and then you can't kick them.
The download time for the game is pretty long...for the international verison it doesn't but a lot of people have some serious problems with that download  and can't play the game. I recommend the Korean verison since it's in English. The game is pretty addicting in the beginning. But once you get to higher levels...the game loses it's luster.
Graphics wise the game looks good. The controls are not so good. Of course you have to use your mouse to aim and shoot and all that but it's also how you turn around. So most of the time you're just spraying bullets at everybody and if you have a ball mouse there's no point when it gets stuck. You really need an optical mouse to play this. Luckily I do. Other than that the character creating is very bad. The only thing you can change is the hair and there is only 4 styles. There are many places to fight. Like in a town, or in a arena, or in a mansion. But you're all doing the same thing, just shooting and using a sword. You can learn some cool moves to help out. But they are VERY difficult to learn. For me I rather stick with spraying everybody with bullets then get yelled at and called a noob. Hey if it kills you, I'm going to use it! |
