Deicide Online (7/14/06) About It: What comes up first on your head when thinking of fantasy? Great warrior, wizard, Elf and dwarf, devil king and dragons, most of you probably think of fantasy  as the mysterious unreal world with surrealistic things and phenomenon. And that's what most of recent MMORPGs are all about. But, don't you think that's just not good enough?
Lands and haunted monsters, what our Deicide developers thought we were missing here was an Adventure. Just walking around and killing monsters as shownˇ¦ What our team thought that we needed was actual individual adventurism with not just spacious lands and dungeons, but with diversity of landscapes such as canyons, and valleys, and also lots of cliffs. Various quests adventure along with mercenary work for money, adventure towards the world of marvelous scenery and monsters, that is what our Deicide really seeking into. There is one thing I love about Deicide Online the most...it's the selection of how you want your character to look. There are a good number of skin tones, how you want your face to look and hairstyles.  Yes I am using my own screenshots since I couldn't find any on the Internet and yes I choose a girl because they look better fighting, plus their outfits are kind of cool...anyways. This game is pretty cool. You don't have to click a bunch of times to get your character to attack, but for some reason, my character stops attacking the monster when she's not even done yet. And the fact you do have to keep clicking for magic attacks. That is one of the main things i have against it, plus the lagging. Unless you have the ultimate gaming computer you will lag, and of course it's where most people are.
The developers have created a new server which will hopefully lower all the lagging. We hope. The graphics are decent. The landscapes are into a great detail or anything. The characters look alright. The camera controls are weird and if you use scroll button on your mouse to move the camera, I recommend you don't. It makes it harder to click and move to that spot. Yes you read right. You have to click and your character moves to that spot and you keep doing that. The WASD buttons are only for moving the camera. Another thing is cobat. The actual fighting is alright, it's just when two people see a monster they  want to kill and it happens to be the same monster and one finishes it off before the other. You will get mad. I have many times. They do help out the problem be highlighted the white circle in yellow when another player is attacking but it still happens a lot.
Overall this game is pretty fun. I might play it more if it wasn't for the lag and the fact that I'm busy with this site and making other reviews. I do play it when I have time, or when I don't feel like doing anything else. I probably will keep on playing this game until I find something else that's better. |
