Welcome to Earth

Alejandro blinked at her.

“Say what?” he asked. Anaya slowly rose to sitting.

“I am a goddess,” she said again.

“Are you high or something?” the skater asked. Anaya blinked at him.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“On drugs,” Alejandro explained. “Are you high on drugs?” Anaya blinked at him.

“What are those?” she asked. The skater shook his head.

“Never mind,” he said. “Where did you come from?” Anaya pointed to the sky.

“From the heavens,” she said in an almost dream-like tone. Alejandro looked up with her. *Sweat drop on his head* “She’s out of her mind,” he thought.

“Right…” the skater mumbled. The goddess looked disappointed.

“You don’t believe me, don’t you?” she whimpered. “Why not?!?” Alejandro puffed out at her.

“Cause,” he said. “There are no such things!” Anaya began to pout at him.

“What can I do to make you believe me?!?” she wailed. The young goddess’ eyes began to wail up with big tears. Alejandro sighed aloud.

“Fine,” he said. “Then answer my questions honestly.” Anaya nodded at him.

“Okay,” she said softly.

“Where did you come from?” he asked again.

“The Heavens.”

“Really now?”

“Yeah.”

“Prove it!” Anaya gave him a silent look at first. She seemed to be debating about something in her head. Alejandro smiled at her in a sly way.

“You can’t, can you?” he questioned. Anaya puffed her cheeks at him.

“Here, look!” she snapped. The girl pulled down the top of her toga to the bottom of her chest.

“Oh god!” Alejandro yelled as he looked away. Sure, he liked boobs. Just not on someone who had a body that screamed jailbait in the maximum volume.

“It’s okay,” Anaya said. “Just look at it.”

“Do I have to?” the boy asked. “I can just take your word for it!”

“No!” the girl insisted. “Look at it!”

“NO!!!”

“LOOK AT IT!!!” Alejandro reluctantly turned back to her. His mind was wiped clean of anything. Above Anaya's right breast was a fancy black circle with vines inside. The skater blinked at it for a long time.

“What is that?” he asked.

“It’s a mark of my heritage,” Anaya said. “I am from the Jaguar House.” Alejandro nodded at her.

“Okay, I believe you now!” he said. “Just put your toga back on!” Anaya blinked at him.

“But this mark proves that I am the goddess of summer!” she said.

“That’s nice and all, but close up your toga!” Alejandro yelled.

“Why?” she asked.

“Hey! That creep is making a little girl expose herself!” someone yelled further up the beach. The pair looked up and saw a group of surfers staring back at them. The skater looked at them with big eyes.

“Oh shit!” he murmured. “It’s Marcus!”

“Who?” Anaya asked. The skater ignored her. Instead, he turned his attention to his rival.

“No, no!” he yelled. “It’s nothing like that, I swear! She was just showing me her heritage!” That didn’t come out right, of course.

“Get him!!!” one of Marcus’ goons yelled. The boys all ran towards Alejandro. His eyes shot off panic in his brain.

“Oh shit!” he yelled again. Then, the boy took off running along the beach. Anaya and the boys took off after him.

That was six weeks ago. It’s been one headache after another since. Alejandro lied back on his bed on the last day of summer classes. How long was this insanity to go on? Anaya didn’t seem to want to go home, wherever that was. The skater reflected back on his headaches.

Alejandro moved Anaya into his house after he managed to lose Marcus and his thugs on the beach. Good thing his parents weren’t home. He didn’t need them freaking out because he brought a girl into their house. The young goddess walked around the house for the first day. She toured the different rooms.

“This is it?” Anaya asked, in surprise. “Why is it so small?”

“Hey!” her host spoke up. “Either take it or go home!” The goddess nodded at him.

“Fine, fine,” she said. “Where will I sleep?”

“In the guest room,” Alejandro said without thinking. Anaya gave him a funny look.

“Why can’t I sleep in your bed?” she asked. Her host’s face went bright red at that question.

“No!” he shouted, lightening fast. Anaya tilted her head at him.

“Why not?” she asked.

“That would be too weird, that’s why!” he said. The skater forced himself to calm down. “Just make yourself at home and stay out of trouble,” Alejandro said at last. Then, he walked into his room and shut the door. Anaya stood in the hallway, watching.

“Okay then…” she mumbled. Then, the goddess walked to the guest room where she was told to stay. Now, Alejandro wished he hadn’t said that.

Suddenly, he found himself getting strange phone calls in the middle of the night from guys that he had never met before. Last night was no different. In fact, it pushed him straight to the edge of his sanity. Close to midnight, Alejandro was getting some sleep for his exams the next morning when the phone rang once again. He cursed himself as the ringing brought him out of his hot threesome dream with Anna Paquin and Sara Ramirez.

What the hell?1?” he thought. “I thought I disconnected that stupid chord!” So, the skater boy reached out of his bed and grabbed the phone.

“Hello?” he hissed.

“Uh… is Anaya there?” a guy with a nasally voice questioned. Alejandro was in a killing mood right now.

“Dude! If you have a brain in your skull, you will hang up this phone right now!” he barked. The other line went dead. Alejandro sighed aloud in bed. Anaya had become a popular girl over the past six weeks. Annoyingly popular. So popular that the boys wanted to do her and the girls wanted to kill her. Many of the female in the beach city wanted to strangle Alejandro and Anaya every time they saw them at school and everywhere else in between. The skater trembled and looked for a place to run away every time he saw the hate in their eyes.

Top that with the raging demons that kept coming to the house to try and kill Anaya out of opportunity. Alejandro gave it his all not to scream and throttle the young goddess herself. Last night’s phone call did it for him.

That’s it!” Alejandro thought. “That bitch is leaving!” But how was he going to get rid of her? Suddenly, the door bell rang. Alejandro glanced up towards his bedroom door. He sneered as he sighed to himself.

If this is another demon, I swear…” he thought. The skater got up and walked down the hall to the front door. He opened the front door as he rolled his eyes.

“What the hell do you wan--?!?” he asked. The skater boy went quiet when he saw a man in a leather jacket and blue jeans.
