At 8:00 a.m., I was writin’ when my mum said:

“Bye Kellie. I’m going out for a while. Behave while I’m gone.”

Then I heard the door slam

I immediately jump up and celebrate

I have the morning to myself!

I’m staying my pyjamas all morning

My mum didn’t even leave a list

I am so free!

Party in the house!

I surf the web until I’m bored

I’m having a blast when mum calls

And says she’s coming home

Aw drat!

I quickly do the chores and get dressed

Fun’s over!

When mum returns and ask me how was my morning

I say:

“Just fine”
