Mimi and Akira met in a local cafe near the beach. He chatted her up and she agreed to audition. Mimi got the part and her career began. Also, she began a relationship with Akira. Everything went well at first. He spoiled her with many gifts. Mimi lived the high life and got many starring roles from him. However, it didn't take long for things to go sour. The couple got into many fights. Mimi still had to work for him though. Soon, she and Akira would just have sex. They don't talk anymore. But they still have to work together. Turns out, that Akira was still married. But their divorce was taking so long to be finalized. The wife tried to warn Mimi that she "won't get what she wants from him". One night at a party, Mimi met a man named Toshio. They began a secret affair. What worked in her favor was that he lived halfway across Japan. But then Mimi had a pregnancy scare. Akira gave her her own apartment and told her that he would leave his wife. Mimi didn't want him to do that. Akira wouldn't let her go to other directors for work. Mimi finally got away when she met another director named Kawaguchi. Akira begged her to say but she left him and got a new apartment.
