Jesus Christ is the ONE AND ONLY mediator:There are no other secondary mediators or other equal mediators between man and God. Did anyone else take upon himself the sins of all and offer himself on the Cross? Obviously not. Since God is infinitely Holy, He demands PERFECT justice. Only a perfect, sinless, infinite and holy being can atone for our sins. Jesus Christ was the ONLY suitable candidate in all the universe, being infinitely holy and sinless Himself. Christ then is the only mediator as Scripture confirms : 1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Remember also: Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" This means that if any other person is named as mediator, it cannot be, since ALL PEOPLE have sinned and thus do not qualify to serve as mediator and saviour for mankind. Further: Rom 3:24 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:" Once again, the text says that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God. Another confirmation: 1Jo 2:1 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: " Who Must We Pray To?We must pray to GOD THE FATHER: Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Luk 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. The Saving Work of Christ is FINISHED:Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. How did Christ pay for my sin?1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. The Cross replaced the need for the Old Testament offering of animals to cover mans' sin. So we need just to accept the forgiveness given to us when we believe in Jesus Christ and accept his once-for-all perfect sacrifice. Scripture is the final authority regarding questions about life and faith, NOT man:2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: The Holy Spirit Interprets Scripture for us:1John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Who is our life and hope?JESUS ALONE is our hope and life: John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Should we listen to "Apparitions" or other "spirits"?NO! 2Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
