The Five Blades of Destiny

Sakura

"AWWW!" The voice of a young man rang out through the night. Suddenly, I emerged back into reality, I panted furiously. "Just another dream." I confirmed as I looked around my room. 'They seem so real though, like they are happening right now.' I thought to myself. I swung my legs over the bed and walked over to the window. I gazed out at the stars. "Get yourself together, Kyou." I shook my head a bit. "I wonder why these weird nightmares keep coming to me." I said outloud to no one. I sighed as I moved back towards my bed. I plopped down on it and soon found himself sleep again. I awoke that morning to the sound of someone yelling. "Help me!" The yell rang out again, it was obviously female. I had been through this a dozen times. It was all in my head, I closed my eyes trying to shut it out.

"Help me!" The voice rang out from the inferno. I was there looking at the scene unfolding. "Sakura!" I yelled as I plunged myself into the inferno after her. I reached her body but it was much too late. She was nothing more than a lifeless mass, I dropped her body in sheer terror. I sat there crying in the inferno. Then suddenly I was being pulled out much to my dislike. "No, I want to die! I want to die with Sakura! I can't go on without her!" I cried out as I was pulled from the inferno.

I snapped out of my flashback suddenly, tears running down my face. "Why did you have to leave me Sakura?" I asked through the tears. I looked down at my arms, at the blood that was no longer there, Sakura's blood. I could still see her lying there motionless. I closed his eyes tightly. "Go away! Go away! Why won't these cursed memories leave me?!" I fell to the ground on my knees, sobbing. "Why Sakura? I loved you! Why did you go?!" I yelled up at the ceiling. I could not help the tears that flooded down my face. My head tilted down to the ground as the last of the tears fell. "I loved you." I said one last time. I made myself stand, I had to stand strong. Sakura would hate me for weeping like I did. Even though I knew she would not want me to cry over her, I could not help it. The pain I felt deep down in my heart was immeasureable. There was now a hole in my heart, one that would remain there forever. I knew I had to move on with my life. I kept promising himself I would. "Today is the day I move on." I said to myself for the 437th consecutive day. So, I was a little slow at moving on. I would make sure I left on this day. I have spent too much time mourning in this place. I even had all the neccessities packed for when I decided to leave. This time was different then the rest however. I truly would leave this place. I picked up a small bag, as well as my double-edged sword. The blade had the word 'Love' etched into it. It was the last gift I had gotten from Sakura. If only I knew it would be the last day I saw her, I would have confessed my love to her as well. I shed another tear. "This is the last tear I shed in this place." With that I was out the door. I truly had left the cursed place behind him.
