The Three Count #2 (July 29, 2006)
By Zach Attack

Hello folks, welcome to the second installment of The Three Count! I'm so happy about this. Well, let's start off with this week about another controversial story. But this time it's not about the mWWE, no, its about MySpace. Lots and lots of people have a thing called a MySpace.

Well, first I should tell everyone what a MySpace is. A MySpace is a place where anyone can make friends online. They can also find friends that they knew when they were younger or just find famous people online and talk with them. MySpace was originally a place for businesses to store space for their company info off of the computer. But, a college student named Tom took over and made it a place where a person can have anything that they want on a page of their own, hence the name MySpace.

Many things are famous from this little web site that has been turned in to a tremendous success. There are people that wear t-shirts that say “Top 8” (which means your top eight friends). TV shows, movies, and bands use MySpace as a part of marketing. It's very easy to make a MySpace, and for all of you who don't have one, it's free to use. But, with every good thing there comes a bad thing.

The internet is known for stalkers and predators, in chat rooms, in instant messengers, and now in MySpace. It seems like all you hear these days is about how parents hate this MySpace. Yes, there are stalkers and predators in MySpace, but not just MySpace. They're everywhere online, and I just think that the parents don't know how safe their child is because they don't spend their time with their child anymore. And when they need a excuse to keep their child off of MySpace they talk about how bad it is. It's not that bad, a chat room is definitely worse than MySpace. The thing that gets me is that parents don't pay enough attention to their child to know what their child does, so I think that MySpace is not to be blamed, the parents are for not spending time with their children.
