Mrs. Marinosci's Kindergarten

The ABC's of Education

A=Attendance is the most important! If you aren’t at school, you can’t take part.

B=Basic Skills. Support the learning. Read to your child for 5 minutes each night.

C=Caring. Talk about the school day. Look at the FISH book. Reading & Writing

Children will spend most of their day involved in reading and writing activities. It may seem more like game-playing at first glance, but they are working hard to learn basic skills needed to be good, fluent readers.

People learn faster if they are engaged! Kindergarten is fun and exciting. However, it takes practice. So students will have a list of words -- sight words. They should look for these words all around them. It’s a great game!
