Hastings College

Hastings College, abbreviated "HC," is a private, undergraduate, four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Hastings, NE. It was founded in 1882 by a group of dudes seeking to establish a religious-type college, dedicated to high cultural and academic standards (except for the psychology department, among others) – traits that still apply to this day.

HC's campus is about 109 acres. Within that space sits 40 buildings spanning from the traditional McCormick Hall built in 1883 to the gleaming Osborne Family Sports Complex / Fleharty Educational Center built in 2002 and the ultra-comfortable Bronco Village student apartments completed in 2005. In addition to these wonderful establishments, a world class frisbee golf course is set-up around campus. Offering a full, well, like 6 hole course due to vandalism, the HC frolf course is a wonder to behold. At every turn are lush landscapes, cars, and annoying soccer players with no shirts grabbing each others' asses and throwing the disk. Move over Augusta.

Hastings College is recognized as a National Liberal Arts College in the U.S. News and World Report annual “America’s Best Colleges” issue and a Best Midwestern College by Princeton Review. I think this happened once back in like 1997 or something and the college still like to brag about this. And why wouldn't they? They made like the top 400 best liberal arts college in the US! Incredible!
