PGSM - Act Thirty-Eight
It's night time as the senshi (Venus and Luna included) hurry towards the sound of harp music.
They see Princess Sailor Moon sitting in a circular opening in a wall playing a harp with no strings.
Beryl tells Mamoru that the Princess is why Metallica has so much power - and that the princess should be eliminated.
There is a rather spiffy transition from Mamoru to Princess Sailor Moon.
The Princess quietly says that she destroyed the planet. And then she starts to play again as she glows with a bright light.
The other four watch her.
Flash back to the past life. Endymion and Princess Serenity are in the Moon temple when Endymion hears a sound. He whirls to see a sword and he pushes Serenity out of the way, taking the blade in his back.
He falls to the ground dead and Serenity screams his name. She glows with a bright light... and soon the whole moon is glowing. A beam of light from the moon blasts the earth, turning the planet red.
Serenity falls down dead, her hand in Endymion's.
It seems that Mamoru sees this flashback, based on his reaction.
Beryl says that that is why he must stop the princess. But Mamoru can't believe that Usagi could do such a thing.
As the senshi watch, Princess Sailor Moon glows even brighter and vanishes.
She appears again on top of a building and stares at the moon, calling Endymion's name.
Just as she suspected, they still cannot be together.
She starts to play again, and transports herself to an empty white space. I'd call it Somewhere Else.
Usagi approaches her and the two stare at each other silently for a full twenty seconds.

Back at Crown, Makoto, Rei, Ami and Luna are trying to come to terms with this startling announcement. Up until now, they seem to have taken it rather well.
They just can't believe it.
But... now it makes sense. In the past, Endymion was the cause of Serenity's breakdown.
And now, as Rei observes, the MSC turns Usagi into Princess Sailor Moon whenever Usagi's feelings are too strong.
They remember the other times when Usagi released the MSC's powers: When she was upset because Ami was evil, and when Tux nearly died.
And after both times, their enemies grew stronger.
Usagi's power gives strength to Metallica.
Makoto mutters that this is too complicated. (They will repeat it several times for the audience at home though)
Minako is pondering this new development. The reason that the Moon Princess and the Earth Prince could not fall in love was because the Moon Princess is a threat to Earth. Not the other way around. What a strange plot twist.
But they still have to stop the tragedy.
Flash back to a scene that will become familiar - Serenity and Endymion lying dead, hand in hand.
Back to Somewhere Else, Usagi approaches Princess Sailor Moon. The Princess says sadly that no matter how many times she is reborn, she can never be with Endymion.
She had wished to be born on Earth... and she was.. but that didn't change anything.
Usagi said that when she first met Mamoru, things didn't go so well - flash back to the very first episode, and then a few more episodes where they get into arguments.
Mamoru was awful, but Tuxedo Kamen was wonderful, as he demonstrates by saving her a few times - they show some of the more dramatic rescues.
And then they show the scene where he tells Sailor Moon that he must find the MSC.
Motoki drives a green car with lots of turtles on it. He's attempting to manage a large box of oranges and several plastic bags while trying to open his trunk.
Someone bumps into him and he drops everything, spilling oranges all over the garage.
It's Nephrite, who is rather unconcerned about the whole thing. What does it matter to him?
Motoki tells Nephrite to help him pick up the mess. Nephrite growls and makes funny faces. Motoki hands him a bottle, but Nephrite throws it on the ground, shattering it dramatically.
This attracts the attention of a policeman... who Nephrite promptly throws across the room.
Back in the Dark Kingdom, Beryl is still telling Mamoru they need to eliminate the Princess.
Mamoru remembers his dream about the princess, and he remembers meeting Sailor Moon.
Flash back to the first episode, and the only not-silly looking youma in the whole show.
And then he goes to Act Seven when he sees her transform in the fun house.... And then he saves her, burning a hole in his glove in process, and she bandages him.
He just can't seem to believe that she will destroy the planet.
Jadiete is pacing angrily. He decides that he is going to go back to Beryl. He doesn't know who he should serve - Beryl or Endymion.
Kunzite offers to eliminate the choice for Jadiete and storms off.
Zoisite says "Not again" and follows Kunzite.
Meanwhile, back in Somewhere Else, Usagi shows Princess Sailor Moon the watch that Mamoru bought her. It is still ten to two.
Usagi had thought that her relationship with Mamoru was doomed and she gave up - back when he was with Hina.
But she still Liked him a lot... especially when he pushed her out of the way of the truck... and called her an idiot as Mamoru and then as Tux. Of course, it wasn't until Tux called her an idiot that she realized he was Mamoru.
She even tried to get to London to see him.
Princess Sailor Moon hugs the watch gently and says Endymion's name.
At some point, Beryl disappeared, leaving Mamoru alone with Metallica, until Kunzite strolls in and draws his sword.
By now, Mamoru has stopped being surprised by Kunzite's repeated attempts to kill him.
Mamoru makes a deal with him. They will duel. If Mamoru wins, Kunzite will help him out for awhile, but if Kunzite wins, well Mamoru will be dead.
Kunzite agrees, especially since he knows that Endymion never beat him in a duel.
Mamoru switches to his Endymion outfit and they start to duel.
There is lots of cape swishing.
Zoisite rushes in to try to get them to stop, but Mamoru-Endymion tells him not to interfere.
Princess Sailor Moon says that the tragedy from their past will be repeated... if Endymion falls, she will explode again... and the moon will turn the earth red.
She starts to glow and reappears on the roof as Usagi.
As Usagi stands there, three youma appear out of the ground. She puts the watch on and Makes Up. (There is different background music)
Meanwhile, Kunzite and Mamoru-Endymion are still fighting. It looks like Kunzite is winning as he pushes Mamoru-Endymion to the ground, but somehow he manages to get back up again.
Sailor Moon is mostly just jumping and dodging around the youma. Although she does manage the classic cartoon fight scene move where she jumps in the air and the three youma bonk heads.
She uses Moon Twilight Flash, but she keeps remembering Mamoru saying that their love will not destroy the planet.
She blows up the youma, but it seems a bit anti-climatic.
The three shitennou appear behind her, Kunzite holding his arm and looking rather annoying.
Mamoru-Endymion is standing behind them. He draws his sword with far too much clanking.
Sailor Moon murmurs: "This planet will not be destroyed"
