Chapter Presentation Guidelines • COMM 1307

 

1.              Presentations must be no less than 15 minutes in length and no more than 1 hour, 20 minutes

 

2.              They must be about the assigned chapter

 

3.              You may use as many visual aids as deemed necessary to effectively present the lesson

 

4.              PowerPoint is acceptable, but I need as much advanced notice as possible to sign up for a room that accommodates this medium.

 

5.              An overhead projector is available on short notice…usually.

 

6.              The presentation will be more effective is you incorporate audience participation.

 

7.              Make certain any materials you use are not in violation of any copyright laws. Generally, if you find something that has relevance to your topic, but you don’t have time to request permission to use it, it is covered under the “one-time-use” clause. Use with discretion.
