C.C.I. WESTERN INDIA OPEN SQUASH TOURNAMENT

Winners of CCI
Western India alongwith Raj Arora, Atul Choksi, Khalid A-H
Ansari, Mr. Renjen (CEO, CCI).
In the absence of Saurav Ghoshal Ritwik Bhattacharya had things his own way in the 62nd CCI-Western
India Open Squash Tournament. He defeated No 2 seed Vikas Jangra 9-4,
9-2, 5-9, 9-6 in the men's final. Vikas, among the best products of
Jindal Squash Academy from Vashind,
prefers to serve with his backhand. He played some good drops
to hustle his senior opponent but once the master read the gameplan
there was just one player in the match. Still hats off to Vikas to
make Ritwik earn every point.
Joshna Chinnapa defended her title by overcoming
14-year-old Chennai compatriot Dipika Pallikal 9-5, 10-8, 9-1 in
straight sets.Dipika had her chances in the second set but blew them.
