How to Make Fried Dandelions

For this recipe, you are going to need about 15-20 dandelion flowers.
Snip off the stem so all that is left is the flower and the bottom of the green cap that holds it together.

Rise well and pat dry with a paper towel.

Ingredients for batter:
1 egg
1/2 cup of flour
1/4 cup of milk

Mix the batter ingredients together in a bowl until they are smooth.
Dunk your flowers into the batter until they are completely coated.

Heat some oil in a pan until it is hot, but not smoking. (if you have a frier, now would be a good time to use it)
Place your battered dandelions into the hot oil and fry them until they are golden-brown. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel.


Salt, and enjoy!

Working with hot oil can be extremely dangerous. Use all precautions necessary to keep the oil from splattering onto you or anything else.
