Toni Juanita Lewis was born on June 19, 1951 to Charles Thomas Lewis and Wanda Lou Sturgeon Lewis in Seymour, TX.
She had one brother, Vernon Wade Lewis, who died at the age of 2, due to heart problems.
Toni lived in Globe, Gila County, AZ from infant to about age 6. While there she was exposed to nuclear fallout from the Nuclear Testing that was done at the Nevada Test Site near Las Vegas, NV.

Toni married Mickey Hollars in December 1970. This marriage resulted in two daughers, Deidra and Dana.
They divorced in 1977.

December 9, 1978 Toni married Jim Gough and they had one daughter, Sandy. Jim and Toni celebrated 28 years December 9, 2006.

In 1993, They moved from their home in Bloomfield, NM to Newton, KS. They joined the Circle 8 Square Dance club and made many close friends.
Toni was quite the entrepeneur and always had a vision for something. She owned Yellow Rock Fashions, where she sewed one-of-a-kind square dance clothing and also owned, The Book Nook, a used paper back book store. Her recent venture was Jimni's Pampered Pets, a dog grooming shop. Deidra is still running it.

Toni loved dogs and was especially partial to Shih Tzu's. She had many and loved them all!

Toni has 8 grandchildren, Lisa (16), Thomas (15), Bailee (6), Makaya (6), Darin (4), Jordan (4), Austin (3), & Zachary (1).

In December 2002 Toni was diagnosed with Acute Myleogenous Leukemia. She went into remission and in November 2003 she relapsed. June 2004 she had a stem cell transplant and in 2005 we celebrated her 1 year re-birthday. She relapsed in September 2005 and was in remission again by December 2005. Then in August 2006 she had a seizure and when tests weredne they found that all of her body was in remission except for her head, which showed masses of cancer. They started treating her, and on January 4th she had a stroke and went into a coma. She was unable to come out of the coma and after extensive tests, showed very little brain activity. On January 14, 2007 at 10:10PM Toni left us to become our Gardian Angel. She is now in heaven with her parents and brother and cousin Bill who lost his fight with cancer January 15, 2005.

I hope you enjoy these pictures I have gathered of her enjoying life. Hopefully I will be adding more!
