‘The bunyip will get you!’ said my friend. ‘What’s a bunyip?’ I asked. My friend’s answer, ‘A mythological creature,’ or words to that effect. At the time we were in primary school. Now I know that “bunyip” is an Aboriginal name for a creature they once feared. Not only Aboriginals but our first settlers feared it also. In 1845 someone from The Geelong Advertiser asked an Aboriginal man to draw the creature, so the article goes – and was reprinted April 27, 1991. Thirteen years after this drawing was printed the first duck billed dinosaur was discovered. More recently The Advertiser (Adelaide) printed an article and the picture (see below) in their paper [12/3/05 p.55]. the topic has had coverage at least four times in Creation Magazine – Creation On The Web |
This is strong evidence that God created land creatures the same 24 hour day that he created man. Since God knows everything there is to know shouldn’t we trust His Word rather than rely on the educated guessing from the minds of fallible men? Kath Fauchon.
