As my first attempt at a real web page, I hope you will bear with me as I try to fine tune this site as well as use it.

What is Pyrography?
Pyrography means to draw with fire, this refers to what is more commonly know as woodburnig. It is done usually with an special electric pen attached to a power unit and has a variety of tips that you can use to acheive different effects.

My First Burnt Offerings

As a student of Aikido(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aikido) as well as a part time artist I decided a while back to attempt a portrait of Aikidos founder Morihei Ueshiba, more commonly know as "O'Sensei". After completion I gave it as a present to my Sensei James Sorviero. He gave it a place of honor by using it on our kamiza as our image of O'Sensei. A kamiza is found probably in all Aikido dojos, it is where the school keeps an image of the founder to wich they bow to apon entering or leaving the practice area.

So after encouragement from my Sensei and other visitors to our dojo I've decided to make a limited offer of 20 portraits of O'Sense for purchase. Each portrait will be unique and original. Due to the time invovled in producing each piece I cannot guarantee a specific delivery time, but will strive to have them completed in a timely fashion.

How many versions there will be I cannot say, but if you feel you have an image of O'sensei that you would like me to use, I will do my best to accomodate you.
