Ista's Weyrlings

Week 6

OOC

  • See 'help between' for instructions on the between commands used on HT
  • If you have not yet done so, @send *wlm ASAP with your preferred ledge location. Possible locations are: Above the Pools (off High Above NE Bowl), Sky High Over Northeastern Bowl, Sky High Over Central Bowl, Sky High Over Southeastern Bowl, Sky Over Southeastern Bowl, Sky Over Central Bowl, Sky Over Northeastern Bowl, Forest Weyrs (off the Plateau).
  • Though you don't need to have as extensive a btwlist as some of us (coughD'bajicough) have, it's recommended that you get all the major PC holds, Weyrs, and, if they have individual halls, crafts.
  • To be scored for this week on the Progress Record, just get a few between points on your lists. See 'help between' for info on that, and of course, ask any member of WLM staff if you get confused.

IC

  • You should be doing at least three full-wing formation drills per week now. Every other day will involve smaller group formation practice (three, five, seven dragons per group). Sometimes, you'll do group practices and full-wing practices on the same day. But really, who can get enough of drills?
  • You guys get to start chewing firestone this week. Huzzah! And you thought your clothes smelled bad before. Don't forget to be bagging and tossing, too!
  • You will be moving into your weyrs this week. Once you do, restrictions on alcohol and relationships will be lifted Not that we're encouraging you all to get so drunk that you fall off your new ledges, but from here in on, so long as it doesn't interfere with training, you can do pretty much whatever you want in those respects.
  • Whether through rumours or other means, ICly you probably would have heard riders talk about how first flights are easier to get through if you've had a bit of 'experience' beforehand. Don't forget how interesting it could be to see how your character acts to that; are they prudes? can they not wait to go knockin' boots with that cute bluerider? Have fun with it.
  • Your own ledges means more responsibility; you'll have to get up and get to your drills and stuff without whatever help may've come from WLMs or fellow Weyrlings. Will your char be a keener, there fifteen minutes early for everything? Will they be late for the first week? Have fun with that, too.
  • Though you no longer have to worry about cleaning out couches (the dragons ought to be doing their business between now) or hacking up meat, you'll still be oiling and bathing. It's the fun and exciting task that no rider ever truly escapes-- but remember you'll still be doing it more than the full-fledged riders, 'cause your dragons are still growing.

Any questions, as always, can be directed to *wlm
